You sunk my... wait what?

Friend sent me this.  I laughed.  Hard.  On a similar note (shut it!), I managed to get a short time job.  Contract will be over in a couple weeks and leave me not only with a little of my own earned money but something I can put on my resume as it's actually loosely related to my degree.  Loosely loosely, but definitely going on there heh.  It's a cube job but at least the bathrooms are heated :3

Hadn't logged in for about a month but now I'm interested in sam again.  Got it from lv56 to lv59 the past few days, two lvls from a trio pt with a couple friends. Sam, sam, rdm on lesser colibri, other sam was lv59 then lv60 but we chain5'ed consistently and quickly so it was actually really good.  I got to mess with pentathrust against the birds and we laughed at how high the dmg went and when it chained how high the resulting skillchain dmg was.  Colibri just resist many sc dmg but apparently compression from yuki -> penta doesn't resist near as much.  A couple times we saw my penta+sc dmg take off ~50% of the bird's hp.

Also tried getting a pt last night which resulted in an interesting mix.  Nin, thf, cor, smn, whm, and me on sam.  The nin, thf, cor, and whm were jp.  Apparently the nin was a newbie as the thf told me as such (I was pt lead after some odd circumstances) so we tried our best to keep hate on him.  Target mobs were puks... puks+nin = /sigh  Also hurts that their crosswind move removes third eye, and I needed the third eye so much.  Either I risk possible additional tp moves with soboro and low dmg from jinpu or maybe stuns with hobaku, or go spear and use penta to turn the mob for thf to sata.  Actually I should have just used enpi now that I think about it... but either way I was pulling quite a lot of hate and very fast without ws.  Thf wasn't lv60 yet and he wished he was so much since if I voked hate would be glued to me from the dmg.  Think we were overcamping a bit too since we were getting 270-300ish exp a kill pretty often.  I honestly felt sorry for that whm... we were giving him such a hard time with cures and never much time for him to rest.

Mom: Look snow.  /points outside.
Me: Oh snap!
Mom: What snapped?  /looks at me funny.

Just yesterday and day before were in the 80s.  Funny it waited until March to snow... not that it's sticking much but you can see it at least.

This passed week I managed to go to a job fair just before getting smashed by the flu.  Well, more like quickly run over.  It didn't last that long but past couple days I've been coughing so much I can hardly talk.  At least it's slowly ceasing...  Got a big bottle of cheap store brand nyquil I've just been taking swigs from to help me sleep through this and almost finished with it.

This had me laughing so hard though.

Been lvling rdm up more lately.  Got lucky for a few lvls catching a couple blms from ls that were duoing... not that I did too much except keeping them refreshed and helping with occasional nukes and sleeps (trio-ing gob pets in newton movopolis).  I arrive at lv64 and go lfg.  First pt up just had d/c problems and such with me as solo mage.  After a while one of them gets replaced with a mnk, who later realizes his /war was pretty draining (and the blm that replaced another person wasn't curing much at all).  He went and came back /dnc.  I can't believe how wonderfully powerful this sub is when some extra curing is needed.  Giving him haste almost allowed him to main heal whenever my mp was low (couple war/nins and a thf so curing at times wasn't that heavy).  This sort of curing power from a melee is pretty damn incredible.  He was pissed the blm wasn't curing much at all but just proved how strong /dnc was to me as an option.  PT disbanded after a short while though... but I had an interesting opportunity after: tanking )

120 hours later I beat ff12.  Had a team of Basch, Fran, and Ashe as dd/tanker, dd/support, and main healer/support/dd for the most part and got zodiac spear really early heh.  My main disappointment... it ends ; ;.
Bro decided to get shadow of the colossus since it was a whole $10.  While the guy you control walks/runs all goofy and the horse a masochist the fights are pretty intense.  Had us both laughing and shouting as the big things tried to shake the little guy off or crush him.  Now if only it had a co-op with more colossi outside the story...

And wth, the Pomegranate 7-up I loved turned into a horribly bitter piece of crap...  It used to be sweet and wonderful and now the last four 2-liters I bought have been disgusting.  There's no juice in it so it couldn't go rancid but it sure tastes that way...  Might just call up their consumer line and go off on them like tourettes guy.

update: bought some more p7-up at a different store and it was delicious... guessing kroger just sucks for it now ; ;.

I got a good 90 or so hours out of dq8 before beating it and getting the 2nd ending.  The music is what really takes the cake here: it's extremely well orchestrated and wonderfully embellished in places.  Since it's the same composer from pretty much all the previous music and symphonic suites, he gave us a soundtrack with strong nostalgic themes mixed into the new works.  Something I didn't realize also: the US/EU versions got the upgrade that the JP version wish it had: voice acting and fully orchestrated soundtrack.  For once US/EU got great versions!  It's localized for a European setting, which is great actually since the voice variances are nice and well suited to all the characters.

I really hope dq9 uses a hot-air balloon for its flight method!  That was one of the cooler ways to fly from the older games, specifically dq4.  Well mostly because I'd love to hear its theme deeply embellished like dq3's flight theme was for dq8 (used a bird for flight just like dq3).

So, onto ff12?  I believe so!
