| This is my favorite season for clothing. Everything can be worn and look amazing.
I've lost weight... quite a lot. I can actually pull my pants down without unzipping them or even removing the belt.
Which means....... I need new jeans. Yeah! Fuck!
I need a wool coat, boots (black this time) and of course jeans and to go with that sweaters.
*sigh*
I guess I'll have to wait and look saggy for a while because I don't and will not have the money for a while. =(
I'm obsessing over those Hush Puppies boots I saw at Nero Banco. <3

Aren't they adorable? Knee lenght just as I like them. 190$ (why do I have expensive taste when it comes to shoes?) | comments: Leave a comment |
| | Subject: | =D Hello!! Hi!! Hola!!! | | Time: | 05:08 pm | | Current Mood: | cheerful |

| So Saturday consisted of NOT leaving the house at all. Had a little sushi/beer/whiskey/movie evening with egocentrisme and it was quite relaxing doing absolutely nothing.
Sunday I did groceries and cooked for the week.
I'm very satisfied with my meatloaf and mashed potatoes and of course my now famous french onion soup. The shrimp & sausage gumbo is ok and chicken curry will be revised this week before I send it out because if I don't like it, I'll make chili.
Otherwise I did nothing. After all the cooking I took a bath and started to read a book. Read for a couple of hours and watched FOX, The Simpsons, Family guy and American dad.
Went to bed and read some more. I'm really addicted to this book, I've already read it like 100 times and it's still as good! The Mummy by Anne Rice.
A private number called me Saturday night, I'm assuming it's Steve because he's the only one I know with one. So I called him back left a voicemail and later on sent a text message saying that if he wanted to come back I had no problem and reminded him that he had my keys anyways. Nothing back. My plan is not to call him until his birthday. I have no business doing so anyways. Letting him know that I do not believe that we're going out again and also that I wont harass him or anything. LOL Not my type anyways.
It's pijama day at work. I have no problem whatsoever with that concept. LOL =P It's actually fun and they serve juice and muffins.
I'm still a bit sick, mostly blowing my nose now but I'm getting tired of this.
It's mtlchick birthday this weekend. =) Party time at the Irish Pub!!! Yeah!!! Most probably egocentrisme will come as well.
So that being said, I will confide in you my now famous french onion soup
5 big onions a bit of flour 1 L of beef broth Bay leaves (2-3) 1 cup boiling milk S & P
Melt some butter and EVOO in a large soup pot. Melt onion slowly until they turn light golden brown (takes about 40 minutes) Add flour and continue to brown (do NOT burn the flour) Add the beef broth and stir constantly until the flour has blended in. Simmer for a while with the bay leaves in it. Add a bit of concentrated beef broth to add some taste. Pour in the boiling milk and let it rest. Season to taste with salt & pepper.
As easy as that :) Chuuuut! It's a semi secret!

| Well turns out my idea of contacting my ex for sex wasn't such a bad idea... =p
Alban gave me a ride home and as usual he calmed me down and made sure I was alright (he's so amazing!) Anyways I got home and called Steve. He said he was downtown and asked me if I wanted him to come over. I was shaking and I had butterflies in my stomach but I said yes. I took a few shots of vodka to calm me down and told myself: "Gaby, you're the bomb. You got the power and life is too short to be sad" So I got myself together and put on my skirt and of course a deep V sweater because he's a tit type of guy. lol
It took him 7 minutes to get to my place! Oo Downtown to my place is about a 20 minute drive! We started talking about Montreal drivers and all and he admitted burning every red light and stop to get here! Oh he wanted me bad! *grin of satisfaction*
We casually talked for a bit and we started joking about my cat being a masochist (he likes to be slapped on the ass) Anyways I say "he's my bitch" talking about my cat and Steve turns to me and says: "and you're my bitch"
Ah! My man... He knows how to talk to me. And don't get me wrong it's not in an insulting way he says that, he used to refer to me as "woman" or "babe". I never heard him call me hun or stuff like that. He's an old school macho russian jew =p
We start making out on the couch and let me tell you it didn't take long to get to my room. ;) That guy knows every part of me by heart and in 3 months he didn't forget a thing. *melts* Seeing my bed 2 feet away from the wall brought back a lot of good memories! lol Once we finished we had a smoke and I didn't make a move to cuddle or anything because I know where not back together and I don't want to seem clingy or anything but he came to cuddle on his own <3 It was like we never broke up. My head on his firm chest, his smell that drives me nuts... And he's the second guy in my life who's smell I just can't resist, the first was Pascal (my wolverine for those who remember him) Anyways, his smell make me turn into a puddle of mushy cuddliness. LOL
We went to sleep all bundled up my head on his chest, his arms and legs wrapped around me holding me tight <3 I felt happy again. I could spend day and night in his arms.
We woke up and made love again. Then he did as usual, went in the kitchen looking in the fridge without wanting anything to eat. lol And then he seemed quite pleased that I remembered how he liked his coffee, black with 2 sugars and the spoon stays in the cup. Then we talked for a bit and he left. He kissed me before leave and I said "see you around" and he responded "you bet"
I also discovered something, with his reaction and what he was telling me I guessed that he left me because he wasn't ready for a relationship. His family puts so much pressure that he hasn't been living his "crazy young years" So he's not ready to have a serious relationship. I know he loves me, a guy would NEVER act like that if he didn't love me.
So my plan is simply to continue with some casual encounters like we just had and let him know I'll be there when he's ready. I still have hope that he's the one for me. I just do. Delusional maybe, but still I have this gut feeling inside me.
I'm no longer going to be sad or angry about the situation. I'm happy and that's all I want to be.

| I'm sick; coughing, sneezing, runny nose and my eyes are heavy. I don't know if it's the virus that's getting nastier every year or my immune system that's worse. I was NEVER sick until last year! I hate this!
Yet, I'm still in a great mood and slightly hormonal... Oo I can't believe that I'm thinking about sex yet I can hardly drag myself to work. Oo
Hormones win.
Stupid move or not I don't know. I sent a text message to my ex asking if he wanted to come over this weekend for a little... well you get the picture. Anyways, we'll see his response. The worse I can get is a no. If I get no response well again big deal. A girl can take a chance and ask!
I made a batch of cupcakes for work today. Everyone seemed very happy to have some. LOL I'm the cupcake girl.
My sister left this morning. Again funny story. She gets up and rages about how we really need to do laundry, my plan was to do it tomorrow. But she goes ahead and sorts the piles and starts one. Then leaves...
...
Needless to say I was stuck with a duty to hang everything. Oo
Oh and HER friend is comming over to MY place tomorrow MORNING because she wants to get the same tattoo we got. Add to that, my sister wont be here. AND on top of that I got the message via egocentrisme . She msn her to advise her that she'll be comming over.
*sigh* I'm only a third party application in my house...
Coffee will be mandatory or I shall bite.
Other than that my plan is to stay within the limits of Pie IX to Prefontaine, and Ontario to Hochelaga. I will not leave that square. LOL
Other than my hormonzilla state and cold I'm feeling good. =) Haven't been this happy/peacefull in a while

| Got home yesterday to find my sister inebriated with my newly bought vodka =s Damn... pretty sure that bottle is not gonna last. Anyways, little chit chat and I went to bed.
Got up at 11 again... I guess I need sleep to recuperate. I've caught a cold =( *sniffles*
I'm excited for next week because I'm sending out my admission form for school. I'm so nervous! I hope I'll be admitted.
My diet is going good today. Ate 1/3 cup of oatmeal and 1.5 L of the juice and for supper I'm having vegetable soup. Perfect weather to have soup <3 Once my diet is done (9 days to go) I can't wait to make a big batch of hearty chunky soup. Clam chowder, butternut squash and yam oh and a big hearty beef stew with short ribs. Oh yeah... that's the stuff.

| I'm hesitating between 2 things to cook next week:
Mushrooms ravioli with parmesan, garlic, brown butter and dill. Served with roquette salad and bacon dressing
OR
Meat pie with beef, goat cheese, peppers etc.
What do you think? Both are not too expensive to make...
Also
meatloaf with mash potatoes OR chicken curry? | comments: Leave a comment |

| Wednesday is usually my sleep in and relax day as well as cleaning day. I got up at 11 this morning Oo Sister soon followed at the sound of the coffee machine.
Started to clean up the place and cook the rest of the meals for the week. Watched House. Who here watches House? I just love the PI... seriously! He's creepy and so much fun!
I'm on day 1 of my liquid diet (master cleanse) it's going pretty well. I'm not doing only liquid though, I just couldn't not eat. I eat a small portion for breakfast and one for supper. My body needs this after NY. I started having liver pain and that's never good. Soooo for the next 10 days, I eat high fiber/no meat with the master cleanse juice. It's suppose to do miracles to the body.
This weekend my plan is to stay in. I will not leave my appartment or the neighborhood. =) A bit of pampering and me time. I really need a pedicure after all that walking!
Another recipe for you guys
Super easy and quick lazagna
Sauce
Saute 1 onion and 1 garlic clove in some EVOO. Once soft add some ground beef and 2-3 italian saussages (skin off) uncooked. Mash up a bit. Add a bit of beef stock (I'd say about 1 1/2 cup) and a can of diced tomatoes. Season with oregano, worchestershire sauce, basil and bay leaves. Let simmer about 15 minutes
Lazagna
Use oven ready lazagna.
Cheese sauce
Mixt 1 pack of light ricotta, parmesan, mozzarella and 2 eggs. Beat up until smooth
Layer sauce on the bottom, noodles, sauce and cheese sauce, noodles, sauce, noodles and cheese sauce on top.
Cover with foil and bake in oven for 40 minutes at 400 F. 10 minutes before, take off the foil so it can cook golden.
Super easy and always delicious! | comments: 2 comments or Leave a comment |

| So yesterday I tried out a new recipe and turned out to be 1. easy as hell 2. delicious 3. extremely lean and healthy
Check this out:
Somewhat meditarenean pasta
Whole wheat pasta (now mandatory in my kitchen) half a big can of tomatoes spinach, a big batch 1 large onion 2 garlic cloves EVOO (extra virgin olive oil) parmesan roasted pine nuts White wine
Saute onion and garlic in EVOO until soft. Add spinach. Add 1/4 cup white wine and let that reduce a bit. Add the tomatoes and stir around until the liquid reduces a bit. Not too much you want to keep in the moist
Stir in the pasta (I used spaghetti but linguini would of been great)
Top with a bit of parmesan and the roasted pine nuts.
Yum'O! | comments: Leave a comment |

| Booze, food and fun!
=) We took the midnight bus. An hour before we went for a beer at Yer'mad; well a picher and another pint. =p Boucing around excitingly we departed from our beloved Montreal to head to...... NEW YORK CITY!
I tried to sleep, I really did. But my excitement was too much. We paused in Albany at 3 AM and grabbed a multi vitamin flavored water... yeah... I thought that too... The bottle was attractive ok! =P
Finally we arrive... 8 AM Central station. First thought on our mind: FOOD! So we try to find a restaurant that serves good old bacon and eggs. Unfortunatly it seems that this type of breakfast isn't too popular in the US well at least around Time Square. After walking around for 30 minutes I decide to take the opportunity to prove my feminity: I asked for directions. =P We end up in this fancy pancy restaurant called Brooklynn dinner. The menu was weirdly composed and I was flabergasted to see this: egg benedicts with corn beef. =s OMG yerk.... So I instead opted for 3 eggs (no 2 option...) bacon and well they didn't serve potatoes with it, you had the choice of polenta or a bread made with onions and noodles. Oh well, polenta it is! First bite was really good, the other one was absolutly disgusting. I left the rest. Freshened up a bit in the bathroom then headed to the port.
We thought we were quite far away so we headed straight for the cruise we booked at 12. It took 15-20 minutes to get there. What to do when it's 10h30 in the morning and you have 1.5 hours to wait. Grab a beer!!!
The cruise was really fun. Although we got some bad weather; it rained and was really cold our spirits weren't the least bit disapointed. We have a million pictures from that boat ride. AND an ugly mug. The mug was 6$ and allowed us free drinks on the boat or every drink was a minimum of 4$. So I bought the ugliest thing I would ever own... BUT it was worth it. I wanted a nice hot cup of tea. I ask the nice lady at the snack bar what type of tea they had. "Lipton" OK, what type of lipton. Black, green, lemon? "just lipton" Oh well, so we drank 3 of the unknown type of lipton tea during the ride. Very soothing. I have a picture of the unknown tea and ugly mug that I shall post later.
So after the cruise it's finally time to go to the hotel. We start walking and I'm hungry again. We stop for a hot dog at this wicked looking place (too bad I didn't take a picture of that) Anyways walk in order a hot dog and suprise! none of the regular fillings. You can have a honey-onion dressing, chili, coleslaw and nacho cheese. I opt for the chili and cheese dog. v0idnull the honey-onion and cheese. Amazingly enough it was delicious! Super greasy but spicy deliciousness!
So we check in the hote which was SO classic. Like 1940 style. We go up to the room and woah! I wasn't expecting that sight. The most ugly room in history. The wallpaper was white with red characters in 1800's daily life. The curtains had the same print and the bed and chair too. Wow... Oo But the bed was ultra comfy.
After the 8 hour bus ride and 3 hour cruise and 2 hours of walking we really really wanted a shower. v0idnull has the brilliant idea to get a bottle of champagne. While I pampered up to later on go for a fancy supper and try out a local bar.
Shower was sublime, champagne was better.
I put on my black cocktail dress and head to: RED LOBSTER. We don't have them in Quebec. They mysteriously disapeared ages ago. So happy us order respectivly a lobster tail and 2 types of seasoned shrimp and lobster and shrimp linguini. Good is not even a word to describe it. <3 Plus we had the occasion during the wait line to see a street show.
We then headed for a comedy show. We got half price tickets and we were front row. I've noticed that new Yorkers are very angry people but hilarious! Joke about tourists: "I'm sorry my good sir but I've noticed you dropped your bottle over there. Yeah I know... I was LITTERING!" Fun times... =)
After that we took the subway (can't say metro station there) and headed for Grand Central. Beautifull place. We headed to the bar called Gingerman: 230 varieties of beer and 70 on tap. The best one was: STONE ARROGANT BASTARD. LOL We laughed so hard when we saw that we HAD to try it. I wish I could buy a 6 pack of that.
I got totally plastered (note that the last time I slept before that was Thursday) So get back to the hotel around 4 AM and pass out.
The next day, we get up around noon. We get ready to leave because I wanted to see the American Museum of Natural History. I felt like a little girl in there. It was so much fun. We were there for 3 hours and we didn't have time to see everything.
After that we headed back to the hotel, left our bags and headed to see the reason we'd traveled there in the first place: Juno Reactor concert.
I don't dig techno, it's not my style that's all. But I must say it was amazing. Very entertaining. =) Of course my excitement was not as grand as v0idnull</lj> . He was extatic! Odly enough we even friended an american replica of smoke_rising</lj> Oo that was very weird...
Since it was our last night why not go out for a few drinks after that. We landed in an Irish pub and had tons of fun with a group of Scotish tourists and two old typical New Yorkers. I unfortunatly lost my last 20$ in a jukebox. Oo I thought it would give me back change!!!! =(
We only got 2 hours of sleep because we had to leave at 7 AM. We headed for the bus station and on the way grabbed a bagel and coffee. Fun fact: at Starbucks they don't call it a mezzo it's a tall. =P So anyways, we depart at 8h30 with stops in New Jersey, Saratoga, Albany and then Montreal. I bought a 26oz of vodka for only 14$ at the duty free. Next time I leave the country i need more cash for that. Booze is SO cheap. Anyways we get stuck two hours at the borders I don't know why and then get home.
Once home, I have a fiery rage for a hot shower. Suprise suprise! It's broken! My sister's friend broke the handle. I try my best to fix and it was in vain. So towel wash it is. =( Since we got delayed at the border and my shower is broken I called my boss to let him know I wont be comming in. I had stuff to deal with.
Overall I'm super happy with this trip. =) I skipped some minor details like I saw 2 corpses and the captain of the boat looked like Bob Parker but you get the point. =) I'm now at work and my ticket system crashed.

| It's a very good thing that I am in such a good mood right now because of my amazing weekend in NY because I would usually opt for mass murdering!
My shower is broken, the knob stayed in my sisters hand this weekend, now it doesn't work.
After 10 hours in a bus... I would've really enjoyed that hot shower.
Plus she left my windows open it seems...
Will sit down with sister and have a nice long chat about something i tought I'd never have at home: RULES

| I had a rough end of shift yesterday. My ex came to talk to me and he bluntly said: "I badly need to get laid" and then glimpsed at me.
Of course I felt completly devastated and broke in tears with a serious urge to vomit.
Alban drove 20 minutes to come and pick me up. *bless his soul* So he listened to me patiently as usual while joking around. I actually felt much better after the chat. He stated that I wasn't his whore and that he's an asshole for missing out on a girl like me.
Which is true. I don't want to sound too egocentric here but I am a good girlfriend and an amazing woman. I'm caring, generous, passionate so it's his loss not mine.
I'm tired of feeling like crap every time something reminds me of him or feeling sick to my stomach when seing him. I deserve better treatment than being someone's whore.
If I don't want to have sex, give oral sex, kiss or whatever it's my fucking choice! Period! No questions asked.
So Alban performed I dunno what miracle yesterday but I feel like da bomb! I feel empowered, confident and well full of chocolate right now but that's another issue. LOL J'suis monstruee ca compte pas =p
I went to the bookstore this morning and picked up some of my favorite books that involve fictionnal strong female characters. I'll have a total of 20 hours of bus ride this weekend I'll need to read. It always helps me read those books, it's not like all those chick lit that are invading libraries recently: "women who climbs the ladders of success while managing their love life and their wardrobe" How many sex & the city style books do we need? Seriously? Why do our worlds have to revolve around men and our clothes all of a sudden? I mean I love fashion and I've had my fair share of dating but what happened to the great espionnage books? Or investigation, horror etc? Stop writing about your purse and shoe collection! We can all brag about that between ourselves!
*phieu* That felt good!
So anyways, today I am happy, at peace and optimistic for the future. It's my way, no highway!

| I'm extatic today. I'm leaving for NY tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!! My stuff is packed, I have 300$ US, v0idnull has the bus, cruise and concert tickets and he's booked the hotel. I bought a new pair of sunglasses since mine broke a while ago... I paid 2$ for them! Yeah!!!!! I'm considering buying a new purse (like those baggy ones) but I'm still hesitant. Maybe I'll find a really really cool one there for cheaper <3
Our schedule is pretty much set, of course there will be some deviations but that's always the best way to travel. =)
I need to pack a lunch for the road but the last time I traveled for 10 hours on a bus there was a stop for food. Anyways, better safe than sorry. I have a great book to read as well. Moutain of madness, HP Lovecraft. Amazing book! Must read!
Yesterday we had a little girl's night party at egocentrisme place. It was super fun. =) Got a bit drunk but whatever.
Today I'm restricting a bit because I'm bloated as hell from yesterday. I got my magic drink and I'll have a soup for supper probably.
I have my 4th driving lesson this morning and it went super well. My instructor is proud of me... =D
There's only one thing that's not right today and it's...yep you've guessed. I got my period. Can someone explain why it always starts before leaving on a trip? Seriously? | comments: 4 comments or Leave a comment |

| Called my mum up because the area around my diaphragm is hurting a bit. I've been bloated since this weekend (which is probably related to the few beers I drank [3-4]) but now that area hurts. So she probably thinks it's my liver. Even if I have been eating good, unfortunatly my drinking habits for the past few couple of months have caught up with me. I've slowed down so that will help.
Mum recommended dandilion root tea for a month 3 times a day to eliminate the toxins in my liver and blood. I will stop my metabolism tea and will go down to 1 cup a day of nettle tea. Plus my antibiotic serum. So hopefully it will go away fast.
Tomorrow I'm off so I'll treat myself with a cleansing diet (veggies and whole grains only, no protein)

| So I've posted on dietingsupport and real_women for music to go with my workout playlist, I had some great suggestions. =)
I also asked my cousin Emmy (who is 15) for some new hip music. I new I was old school but man does today's music suck! Oo Like really really badly. New wanna be punk rockers boys band and chick who can't sing but are willing to show of alot and talk about how much they have sex and love it. Oo I feel old.
I like my Elvis and Johnny Cash... they talk about love and discrete kisses not about blow jobs and ass f*ck***.
Anyways, I still managed to build a pretty decent one. I like Pink and 2-3 songs from Rihana, black eyed peas etc and I obviously included a few songs from my favorite music era: the 90's. When grunge collided perfectly with punk and ska, where classics were left untouched for my generation to enjoy. Where techno was then called house and they used pop songs from the 80's and added a bit of "weezes wee boom boom & scratch scratch" =)
I remember "Like a prayer" the first house version, damn was that good. And back then I wasn't affraid to look like a cliche on stage and dance to my own choreography. LOL Man did I ever look dumb... but I didn't care. I was the start of my own show!
So now I got a ton of new music. egocentrisme will most probably do another raid on my computer =P So I'm a happy kitty
Wow maybe this day will actually end well =D
EDIT: The new metallica album TOTALLY rocks!!!!!! Seriously this is hearing orgasm and I think I just came at the end of a song! LOL | comments: Leave a comment |

| So I spent the weekend at my mom's and it was fun. Had a little fight but turned out ok the next day (always leave a mommy 24 hours to vent and admit she was a bit too harsh)
I visited my old boss at the shoe store and she made me an offer I find extremly hard to refuse. We worked together for 5 years and we were a bombshell team. I left to live in Montreal but we keep in touch as good friends. I'm as passionate about shoes as she is and she taught me everything about them. We were talking about her store being promoted since it was getting big and how Anjou (in Montreal) was doing very bad compared to all the others. I was like wtf? how can Anjou be bad? You have a superb collection AND it's located at one of the four fashion corners. Anyways, she tells me the manager sucks bla bla bla. And then says: "If I were to call you tomorrow to offer you Anjou?" I was like heum yeah but... I'm going back to school in january. =( I could of been manager of my own store!!!
But dreams come first.
So when we came back from St-Amable I drove (well all the way to Boucherville) and it went pretty well. I'm still a bit nervous but I'm getting there.
Yesterday evening was chill. Made a great salad with some cheese and wine and watch weird shows playing on TLC. 750 pound man, I eat 33 000 calories a day and conjoint twins thing. It was pretty cool. I like these freaky shows =p
I went running this morning and man did it feel good. =) I felt rejuvenated and in a great mood.
I made the most amazing soup <3 A must try for this fall. It's smooth with a sweet taste
Butternut & apple soup
2 tbsp EVOO 1 onion 2 cloves garlic 4 cups butternut squash 2 medium apples 1 big patato 4 cups chicken broth (low sodium) salt & pepper
Roughly chop all ingredients. Saute garlic & onion until translucid. Add potato, squash and apples. Stir around, add broth and let simmer 30 minutes.
Salt & pepper
Blender until smooth.
Delicious!!! AND low calorie!!!! =D With that try this amazing panini
1 panini bread 2-3 slices brie cheese 1/2 pear, sliced wallnuts
YUM'O!
