Wow, it's been an absolute age, hasn't it? Do y'all even remember me? XD School absolutely killed my time for making icons, and since graduating last December, I've found it hard to get back into any motivation for icon making. This post consists of many icons I've sporatically made over the past few months, and some that I've made specifically for getting back into the swing of things.
Just for the record, also, I've gone back and all my posts are now tagged by title (anime, book, movie, etc) for easy navigation of past icons if you like what you see. The list is on my userinfo, which I plan to update soon. It's horribly out of date. Does this mean more icons more often now? It's hard to say, but do keep checking in!

Hi there, everyone ^^
Orca here. I am in my last semester in college, and if everything goes right, I'll be graduating in December. As result, graduating and the nature of my classes this semester have made it very difficult for me to take time out to make icons - even for contests. I've been dying to do some lately, but just have not had the time. I'm posting this to let y'all know that I have not fallen off the face of the earth. I'm just going to be pretty much on icon-making hiatus until December.
Thanks for sticking around, I hope y'all like what I plan for the future.

::gasp:: What is this? An icon post?! Dude, no way. What is it about homework that gets you NOT to do it, but everything else? This is not my usual batch, however. I've recently gotten really into Black Cat and Vampire Knight. There's an appalling lack of icons for these series (the latter is a new manga, so it doesn't surprise me). The Black Cat anime recently had a premiere at a recent con, where the English dub VAs were announced and the first episode (dubbed) was screened. So, that fandom should pick up soon, although the manga is excellent as well. Vampire Knight is the latest by manga-ka Hino Matsuri. There are currently 20 chapters scanlated, and I highly recommend it to everyone (who loves vampire bishie-goodness and also an interesting plot).
So, enjoy. If these are well receieved, I'll make more (over time). I didn't make too many this time, 'cause who knows? Also note, for some reason, whenever I try a new series, my first batch of icons for it never come out as spectacular as I'd like them to. I apologize if the BC ones seem a bit lackluster -_-

After some recent (and stupid) spam/flames on my icon journal, I've set comments to "registered users only". From now on, when taking from and commenting on my icon posts, please make sure you're logged in.
I'm also working on getting all my past icon posts tagged, so that people who like certain icons can easily find others like them on my journal here.

You really shouldn’t believe me when I say that “hey, I’m on break, so I can make loads of icon posts now” because it never happens. Let’s just say this, I don’t post very often at all, so I try to make what I do post worth looking at, at least. School has started again, so it’s the same old story. Just the tip of the iceburg, and summer's just getting started. All this pent-up creative energy has really gotten the icons flowing out of me, and I plan on doing "themed" posts all summer. In the spotlight this post are icons from [VG Cats], a hilarious webcomic mainly covering video games and popular anime. Please make sure to also credit VG Cats when using these icons, in addition to orcapixels.
Also, I've been alerted to more icon theft of my icons as of late. Please, if you plan on using these icons OR JUST POSTING THEM in a different journal (like Xanga), do NOT hotlink them and CREDIT wherever you post them. I don't care how old you are or if you don't know how - if you're old enough to know HTML, you're old enough to know how to save and credit on your own. ::shrugs:: The Internet is like real-life, people ... no excuses.

Hi there -
It has come to my attention as of late that a lot of my icons have been the victims of theft and unauthorized editing. I'm putting this notice up, asking that you please do not take any of my icons and *edit them* in any way without permission. Especially my signature icons (the icons I use personally here at my icon journal) - they are technically not up for grabs, and especially if you take them and then edit them with *your* name instead.
I must ask that if you wish to edit any of my icons, that you at least ask first. Otherwise, I have to keep typing up all these mean DOOM messages, and that's pretty lame, I think. If you see anyone using an icon that looks strikingly similar to mine and they haven't credited, I appreciate you forever for letting me know. Currently, someone has taken my Ed icon and edited my name off of it, replacing it with theirs. I'm not sure if this person has me friended, but doing this without asking is not cool.
Anyway, thanks for reading!
