I am swamped. Probably will be able to make decent size of that update post I'm always talking about when some projects have finished. Hmm.

The World Ends With You is glorious! I finished playing the English version two days ago, and I'm already in W2D6 of the Japanese version. Japanese!Joshua is such a PRINCE awawawa~
English!Joshua is a Queen. *shot*
I'd say I prefer the English voices, but liked the Japanese voices more only because they didn't have that annoying foreign accent for the Japanese words. (Yes, this grinds me sometimes; Yes, I'm an elitist, shut up) Besides that, I equally loved each voice of both versions. Joshua's English voice in particular is perfect. ♥
For some reason, I could understand the storyline a lot better in Japanese... does this speak volumes of how old my mental age is, or what? The English translation was quite excellent though, despite some random errors that I can't tell if they were made intentional or not. I especially liked how they translated the Prince's words "I wouldn't care if I died right here" into "F this ramen! F this to high heaven!" Totally genius.
(Although you have to admit, his former line makes more sense when you consider that he's the Prince of Ennui and his blog is about things that are grand enough to take him out of his ennui... ism. I wonder if that flew over some people's heajklsfqw gah, I won't nitpick.)
And 2ch talks about Neku in Gothic Lolita dress, among other things 色々と面白っ

There were also 10cent American comic covers (Uh, I forgot its title...) portraying sex of all kinds and placed in a way that they made a wallpaper pattern. I didn't take a picture of that, though.

I have a lot of stuff to update you guys in my two month LJ absence, but before that I thought the Switch fans here would like to see a preview of the animation sketches!





The animators have Hal perfectly copied. And he's wearing engineer boots and jeans. ♥ Kaji is also perfect, and Hiki seems to be dressed sharper than usual.
Kai looks so... mmm I don't know, ruffled? There's something slightly different about him from what I'm used to. I think it's the hair. I don't know if I'm bothered about that or not, at this moment.

If we go with Naked Ape logic, Kagura Akito is most likely a total haraguro bad guy who has an implied relationship with Kuzuya Shouhei.

The title of the OVA will be "The bond of trust," and it's completely original, meaning you won't find the story in the manga that it's adapted from. Normally this would be a point of concern for fans who are sticklers for canon, but since Saki-sama herself was involved in the OVA scripts, IT'S OKAY.


Oh, this information came with the limited edition volume 12 of Switch, and the plot in that volume thickens like day-old curry. Everything is coming together. IT IS MARVELOUS.
It is also coming to an end. (T___T


私しか喜ばないだろうけど.... I've also got official lyrics to the difficult-to-hear song played in the Switch butai~ *goes to fix*
The song is "SWITCH" sung by vague, and it was released back in May 18th as part of their 3rd album. I'm debating if I should buy it.... I actually would have preferred a full recording of a certain instrumental, but that would be an almost impossible and expensive request.



EDIT 06/10: I was right about what I predicted a long while back, Switch will be ending at volume 13. That makes me kind of sad... but Volume 12 was really all shades of total AWESOME, so I can't wait for its closure.
