This is something I've been wanting to do for quite some time now, but I've always been too lazy to start (hey, kashe gave me permission to use the title 'Countess of Procrastination and Lurkerdom', so shush u.u).
Basically, this will be a space where I give my humble opinion (I'm not that good to call it 'review') on the games I'm currently playing, on my DS, PSP and maybe PS2. As I'm a hand-held addict, these will be what you get for now u.u

Let's start with one of the games I've been playing for the longest time (2 years EVERY DAY now): Animal Crossing Wild World, for Nintendo DS.
In ACWW, you basically need to take care of the town you've just moved into. In your town (which you will name at the beginning of the game) you have your own house to fill with furniture and up to 8 animal neighbours (and various special animal characters, like the shop owners, the museum caretaker, the mayor and so on).
It's your duty in ACWW to be a friendly neighbour, water withering plants every day, and... pay your loan to make your house bigger and bigger each time (you start with just 1 room, and end up with 5, and there's never enough room for all your furniture ;__;). Remember: if you don't treat your animal friends well, they will leave your town (others will replace them though).
Apart from watering plants, you have a lot of catching to do: bugs and fish for example, which you will donate to the Museum first, to complete your collection and get prizes.
The Museum also hosts your fossil (that you dig) and painting (that you buy) collections.
Other things you can collect are: clothes, hats, umbrellas, wallpapers, floorings, furniture, writing papers and gyroids (little haniwa-like figures that you dig up sometimes).
Time in ACWW follows real life time, and also seasons: in spring, your trees will bloom, in summer you'll get a tan, the leaves on your trees will be red in autumn and expect a lot of snow (and snowmen!) in winter.
Also, wi-fi has a big role in ACWW: not only you can invite your friends over to your town (or travel to theirs), but also some items will only be available through wi-fi-connected characters (Nintendo also gave away some exclusive Mario-themed items every now and then for all the players connected to the wi-fi in certain days).
(sadly, my wi-fi connection won't work and I can't play with my friends, I'm really hoping for a better one ;___;)

Two nights ago Usahara asked me if I wanted to go with her and Gtmoogle and fight Shiva, as she already had the avatar but needed the item.
I took the chance and joined them (Hara as rdm75 and Gt as smn75, me as war50), as I want to eventually lvl my summoner some day, and arriving at lvl20 with something more than just Carbuncle is definitely a bonus :P
Sadly to say, I leeched all the fight, I'm still too low to be of any help Y___Y
PLUS it was iceday as well, and Shiva was being meaner than usual, but Ifrit took care of basically all the fight, with Hara spamming bar-spells all the time. Only sad thing was, Gt got hit byt Shiva's 2hr and died, poor little taru XD
I ended up with just 166 hp for all the second part of the fight, as hara was busy casting Raise/Cure/Bar spells XD
But I did get Shiva, so I'm pretty happy **v
I'm so gonna do this fight again when I'm 75, it's so much fun **

yes, it's true. If you get HQ versions of event gear, your NPCs will wear them too... Sorry if any of you already knew it, Hara and I just found it out. Imagine our surprise (i.e. we laughed so hard we couldn't breathe U_U)

oggi sul quotidiano della mia città ho letto un articolo sui famosi siti 'pro ana' e 'pro mia', ovvero sui siti che esaltano anoressia e bulimia. Ovviamente sapevo che siti del genere esistevano, e come la magggior parte delle persone sono anche rimasta inorridita dalla sola idea, ma a dire il vero ero incuriosita da tutto ciò, volevo vedere con i miei occhi cosa poteva mai scrivere la gente su un sito del genere...
Grazie al cielo, veri e propri siti 'pro ana' non ne ho trovati, ho letto un paio di blog, ma con dei post che definirei solo deliranti...
Le persone che mi conoscono sanno che non sono proprio filiforme, e sono perennemente in dieta (o almeno ci provo). Sono stata per 5 anni con un ragazzo che ogni volta che ci si vedeva non faceva altro che chiedermi quando mi sarei messa a dieta, e credetemi, non è affatto bello. Ma sinceramente non mi è mai passato per la testa di mettermi un dito in gola. Ora sto con una persona a cui piaccio così come sono, a cui piacciono le mie gambotte e il mio sedere abbondante, e ogni giorno lo ringrazio perchè, anche se voglio sempre perdere qualche chilo perchè so che fa bene alla mia salute, mi ha reso molto più sicura di me stessa, ad avere più rispetto per me e per il mio corpo.
Però poi leggo questi siti e mi incazzo. Molto. Perchè io non sono una persona intollerante verso le idee altrui, ma lo divento se le idee in cui si crede sono così ovviamente deleterie per la dignità della persona.
Ho letto commenti di alcune ragazze che dicevano 'zitta tu, che ne vuoi capire'. Vero, ma bisogna forse aver avuto un cancro per sapere che ti può uccidere? O farsi di coca o di eroina per capire che sono pericolose? Non credo proprio.
Non capiamo quello che provate, quello che ha vi ha spinto ad ammalarvi? Vero, verissimo... Ma quando leggo commenti di gente che dice di sapere di essere ammalata, che fa così perchè ha fame d'affetto e che comunque continuerà a comportarsi in questa maniera perchè tanto a nessun altro frega o perchè le fa stare bene, allora no, voi ragazze non lo sapete proprio di essere ammalate... non lo capite, in fondo non vi interessa nemmeno poi tanto, perchè tanto poi 'nessuno mi capisce, qualsiasi cosa io faccia o dica'. E se invece lo capite veramente non c'è niente di peggio di un malato che sa di esserlo e non chiede aiuto. Certo, se i vostri genitori e amici si preoccuperanno otterrete il vostro risultato, ma a che prezzo? Passare mesi in ospedale a cercare di recuperare la vostra salute non mi sembra il massimo del divertimento.

Per chi volesse farsi un'idea, vi linko questo blog. Se non siete persone tendenzialmente fragili e autolesioniste, potrebbe dare qualche spunto positivo. Se invece lo siete, magari è meglio se lo evitate, si sa mai che alcuni commenti (non il post in sè) vi diano qualche cattiva idea...

so yesterday I had the urge to try out this new cake I found out in a magazine. A strawberry cake. A VERY GOOD strawberry cake. Think of it like a fruity version of cheesecake, almost like eating a strawberry smoothie with cookies >.<

aaaaaand... I'M BACK! (or so I think...)

first of all, if you ever have the chance to go see Michael Buble' live, even if you're not a fan of his but just like the songs you listen on tv or on the radio, please do it, I've been to his concert last night in Padova, and he's... simply... AMAZING. He's fun, he's a great entertainer, and most of all, he's got an AMAZING voice, so clean and powerful (oops, did I just say he's amazing twice? well, he IS amazing...).

so, back to us... my last post dates back to more than a year ago, what did I do all this time?!?
mostly, I've been terribly lazy... and I am still, but I hope to overcome this lazyness to post more often, hehe...
as my friends know though, my disappearance from lj is mainly because of real life, my adorable boyfriend takes up most of my time, especially because he lives in Canada, and I wish to spend every minute with him when we're both online.
To be honest, the beginning of my relationship two years ago marked also my long pause from writing fanfiction. I don't feel the urge to write male/male relationship as I used to (especially nc17), even if I still have some ideas in my mind (does Oliver and a pair of Puddlemere socks found at the Burrow ring a bell in some of you? knowing me, it should u.u)

what else? I'm still deep into MMORPGs, especially Final Fantasy XI and World of Warcraft, so expect some rantings and some writing about them (I wrote a short story for my WoW character, I might post it sooner or later) :)

and, of course, I've got a new obsession, Pinky dolls!!!! I'll keep you updated with the arrival of my new girls, you'll probably get fed up with me talking about Pinkys very soon :P

orbene... sono tornata!! si, lo so, dovevo aggiornare un po' prima, mentre ero ancora in Canada, ma non ho avuto molto modo di connettermi... gomen!
comunque... sono andata a vedere Pirates of the Caribbean 2!!! oddio che bello!! >.< Johnny Depp/Jack Sparrow rende molto di più in inglese, devo ammetterlo (la sua voce ha quella nota, come dire... alcolica... che il doppiatore italiano non ha, anche se mi piace cmq molto), ed è stata un'unica risata dall'inizio alla fine. Ovviamente, tornerò a vederlo in italiano non appena uscirà anche da noi, e poi PRETENDO il 3 al più presto! >.<
Su altre note, ho visitato pure Toronto (non sono riuscita a vedere Little Italy però >.<): Chinatown è qualcosa al di fuori di ogni immaginazione, un vero e proprio pezzetto di Cina e mercati cinesi (incredibile la quantità di cose che i cinesi vendono essiccati!!), nel quale si mescola pure una bella fetta di negozi e ristoranti portoghesi e un de-li-zio-sis-si-mo negozietto giapponese che io e Beto abbiamo scoperto per puro caso in una via in cui non era mai stato nemmeno lui. Dentro abbiamo trovato di tutto: da manga, libri e riviste, a set in ceramica di piatti e tazze (ho lasciato il cuore su un set con dei fiori di sakura >.<), cibi di tutti i tipi, da quelli in busta a quelli freschi e surgelati, pasta varia, wasabi, riso, condimenti, dolci, caramelle... da spenderci una borsa di soldi! >.< mi sono dimenticata di prendere i Pochi... ;___; (ma in compenso mi sono presa un onigiri al tonno buonissimo, bwahahaha >:-D)
Siamo stati anche al Royal Ontario Museum, peccato che la sezione romana e quella dei gioielli fossero chiuse per restauri >.< Però avevano un alce impagliato... quello mi ha quasi fatto paura... è enorme, non me l'aspettavo... **;
Tirando le somme, consiglio caldamente un viaggio in Canada, il paese è molto bello (la prossima volta andrò alle cascate del Niagara :D), la gente è molto cordiale e simpatica, e ci sono un mucchio di ragazzi carini, per chi fosse interessato **

Il volo e' filato via liscio liscio (mi sono pure guardata 'Take the lead' con Antonio Banderas, molto pucci). La tratta era Venezia-Philadelphia e poi Philadelphia-Toronto. Peccato solo che a Philadelphia, essendo l'aeroporto piu' incasinato che io abbia mai visto, nn abbiano fatto in tempo a caricare la mia valigia... assieme a quella di meta' aereo... speriamo me la consegnino oggi >.<
Pero' all'aeroporto c'era ad aspettarmi il mio amore, Crae :D con un mazzo di fiori e una scatola di Lindor! >.< Amore... ;__; *commoss*
E oggi mi porta a vedere Pirates of the Carribean 2, invidiatemi! >:-D
