Brief notes
This isn't one of my usual vids. It was done in about a day, and is very much a "fandom" vid as opposed to a "vidding" vid. The reasons for this are many - crap source quality (the only YA footage available online is 230kbps wmv), the source itself being difficult for vidding (pure teen drama without a whiff of supernatural or even action), and the fact that I wanted it to be a Christmas present for the dwindling YA fandom. Hence quickness, hence extreme sloppiness, and add to that the whole file corruption debacle, equals One Really Crap Vid. But it was fun, and I've been in a rut both for vidding and fic lately, and it had been a very good stopgap. But, yeah, here's your ample warning. :D

Presumed incest! Whee! I've always just LOVED how Scout pined and pined even when he thought she was his sister. And Sean is just adorable. And there is certainly no love lost between me and Bella - she's always struck me as flighty, irresponsible and liable to push blame onto other people. Hey... that sounds like Grace. Maybe there's more of a family resemblance than she thinks. Anyway, this song has been waiting to be vidded to for about a year now, so I'm glad I finally did it. And of course it once again rekindled my Scout love so hopefully it'll actually prompt episode 605 to be written in the near future. *score* It really feels wonderful to be going back to my original fandom roots. My pitiful, adorable, tiny cornball fandom of much love and many friends. *schnoogles YA fandom*

This is a very cool vid. I especially like the rapid scene changes and change in perspective. It works very well with the song.

Awwww.

I really loved the way the 'flashback'-scenes were b/w-ish, and the part around 2:40 where you put the flashback above the other pictures. Looked good. :D

Made me all nostalgic for Bella/Scout and Bella/Sean and Scout/Sean. *loves*

Ah Bella... what wasn't to hate...

I mean..

But seriously, for what you had to work with as far as material goes, nice job. For the most part the video clips out there for this fandom are sad. It's what you get for having a 8 episode run over the summer. The composition was nice as was the way the speed of the scene changes changed with the tempo of the music. And it really fits the triangle mess that they all fell into.

And so far as the triangle, well, Bella never struck my fancy. How many boys does a girl have to have dancing on strings before she's happy, really? The boys were more or less hapless players in the who wants to win a date with Bella game. Always sort of felt bad for Sean as he was sort of the fall back guy. The guy Bella didn't really want but was willing to take if she couldn't have Scout (Hot, semi-clueless rich guy) or Will-as we know the show was most definitely going to go there if they got picked up.

And yes, another long rambly comment from me. Thanks for the YA Christmas present.

Thanks - the eight-episode thing was a large bother, as was the fact that Sean was only in four of them and not even really in Cinderbella. And nail on the head, too, with everything you said about Bella. She annoyed the living hell out of me... it was painfully obvious that Will was gonna get thrown in the mix as well and good lord, is the only one that's immune going to be Hamilton and only because he's secretly gay? *snerk* Thank you very much for your nice comments, and I hope you have had a good Christmas! :D

Poor Matt Czurchy, his characters often get short shifted. Sean definitely had much more potential than they gave room for on the show. *nods* It leaves everyone with limited clips to pick from for vidding. I think the art of YA vidding is trying to get the most original composition possible for a vid with such little material.

HeHe. Hamilton just has a different focus from the other guys...which is why I liked him. He sort of knows what he likes when he sees it and that's that. The others were all looking for something special, and on the surface Bella looks like something special. Hamilton just sort of watches and waits until he gets a glimpse of what he wants and then he goes for it. Even if it means kissing a boy in a washroom. ;)

Wow. You did that in a day? That's pretty amazing. I don't know anything about the fandom, but I found it completely enjoyable and entertaining! I really didn't view it as sloppy. As you said the video quality is poor, but I love your sense of timing. It definitely does not look like it was done in a day. I'm jealous of your ability to vid quickly! My Serenity vid that I wanted to be a Christmas gift for the fandom turned into a New Years gift. :(

Ack, shame! This vid was such a jokey thing I didn't bother posting it over on [info]vidding lest any good vidders actually see it, but here you are, and did I mention Shame? I'm glad however that you enjoyed it; the show was pretty entertaining.

Believe me, I can wait a long time for a Serenity vid from you. Really can't wait to see it... sadly I'm off on holiday until January 3rd, so if you don't get quick and gushy feedback from me, that's why. :) Have fun vidding!
