Sup doods owo Ok so I'm kinda totally getting sick of seeing Lara bound/gagged XD;; After like, a billion years of not updating, I'll try to have something here. Its mostly an announcement relating to AX / Skullgirls I have a table at the artist alley, I'll be sharing with a group of friends- we kinda put together a group for the purpose of registering as a group at AX hehe XD you can check out our DA gallery here: http://cutesysexymanly.deviantart.com No other name could define what we cover haha >XD ---ACTUALLY, in regards to AX... does anyone from NORCAL/ BAY AREA planning on going yet somehow does not have a ride down there yet? I'm going to drive down there, but I've never drove down there by myself and I'm kinda intimidated. Anyone want to drive with me? If not, does anyone at least have any advice? I'm thinking of leaving Wednesday morning. Do you think the 4th of July traffic will be in effect by then?--- As for Skullgirls- we'll be having a work-in-progress demo at the convention. A lot of it is still placeholder, but you can get a general idea of what we are going for and the directions we are taking. Let me list the positions we are looking for in particular :0 Sprite artists: -General sprite cleanup, shading, organization. A lot of the current sprites are still unshaded, and we may need additional sprites. We will need a lot of help here in order to complete them in a timely fashion and still maintain quality. Must be able to adapt to the Skullgirls sprite style. Please send a website and/or examples of your work when you email us. Animators: -I like to draw a lot of the keyframes for the characters, but odds are I won't have enough time to do so for the whole cast (including in-betweens). I will need help here in drawing the frames, and adjusting them accordingly to make sure they are in scale. For this job it is *very* important that you can understand the style and fit the drawing style/character personalities as close as possible. Please send a website and/or examples of your work when you email us. Effects animators: -The effects we have in mind are more towards a cartoon/comic book approach. We want something stylized that could work *either* as a hard sprite (like old fighting games) or the more modern glowing effects. If this sounds interesting, we'd like to hear from you. Background artists: -A lot of the backgrounds will be made around specific concepts, though we are still open to new interpretations of these planned stages. We currently have a couple artists working on them, and the more help the better. Please send a website and/or examples of your work when you email us. Website design: -As you can tell, this website is not updated often. I like its current design, but it could use adjustments and a big update in general. Our previous website designers are currently working on other aspects of the project, so someone new in charge of updating and maintaining the site would be great. Voices: -We have a variety of characters (despite the title, yes, *both* male and female) who need voices. If you have anything to show (or say), feel free to do so. Sound Effects: -The demo will currently be using placeholder sound effects. If possible, our own specialized sounds would be really badass. If you feel like you could contribute something that wasn't mentioned here, we still would love to hear it. First post of the new yearrrrrr 2008 yayyy Back from Japan. The trip- it was cold and crowded, but a ton of fun. There are definitely a lot of things I'll miss (like the trains, and Deathsmiles (and good arcardes in general), good food, etc...). I'm not good at reporting about vacations, but maybe I'll try later (also when I get around to uploading some of the pics I took). Thank you to all the people who gave advice on what to check out- I remembered some of the things people mentioned when I got there (but I forgot to/didn't have time to do a lot of things too... I definitely gotta go back some time). some sort of art update thinggg Oh hey super mega thanks to everyone who gave me advice for the trip to Japan. Its really helped a lot in making decisions and what to keep an eye out for m(_)m I really appreciate it yea. Other than that, been working on SG sprite stuff whenever I have time. Also: finally finished Odin Sphere, including all of the different variations at the end. I didn't bother going for earning Heroic Mode or anything, is there some sort of reward for that? I won't say anything specific because I know thats the kind of stuff I was trying to avoid while playing, but I will say I loved it and am glad I was able to savor the game for so long XD Now its time to move on to another game hehe. I was going to play Persona 3 but I've been pulled in by the gravity of Mario Galaxy, so I'll probably be playing that for a bit.. just started though. There is definitely a certain thrill of jumping off the edge of a platform-shaped planet and then swinging around to land on the other side. And then a sense of absolute retardedness from doing the same thing on a different planet and then getting sucked into a black hole haha. sup 2007 oh shit Pardon stupid grammar and spelling errors, its a bit late/early and I'm tired T^T; So like hm.... what has happened since last update... something like half of 2007 and a lil bit o' 2006 too ;;D;; This year so far has been interesting- iono if its good or bad but its cool either way. I guess the most recent thing is SDCC- of which I will say this: next time I'm flying to/back T^T (and maybe stay a day longer or so... didn't spend enuff time with the Pump guys, amongst other shortcomings, which sucks- but I learned my lesson, I think...) Ok what else... hm, one good thing about SDCC is that it somehow opened my eyes on how horribly slow I've been on Skullgirls this year. So I've been working on that more lately. Its always fun, even if frustrating occasionally. Still, I like doing stuff for it. I won't post the pixel shite here yet (still needing to learn a LOT) but maybe some assorted other SG pics (since I have some of those yea owo ) I'm currently into two things: Gurren-Lagan and Odin Sphere. I'm totally caught up with Gurren-Lagan, and I can't wait to see episode 19 :9 The show is full of retarded spirit, which is something I enjoy greatly. HOWEVER. in terms of Odin Sphere, I HAVE NOT FINISHED THE GAME YET AND I'M REALLY PARANOID ABOUT SPOILERS ( so i'll try my hardest not to say any and I will be very unhappy if you spoil anything T^T;; ) I will say this tho: I really love that game a lot ( though I do also scream at it a lot... fucking Axe Knights T^T; ) The rest of the shite that has happened since last update is either too outdated now or not relevant to the public anyway / noone would care.
