I think my body has been storing mucus since the last time I had a cold.

I have the lurgy. I've already had two baths in as many days.

Watched a program today called The Making of Me which was very interesting. It was John Barrowman subjecting himself to various test to find out what makes him gay. That whole nature vs. nurture chestnut. The outcome was nature but I don't think it will help sway any of those people who believe it's a choice. Did they choose to be straight? I didn't, I just am. I tried liking girls and I can certainly find some women attractive but I still can't picture my life spent with another woman. I'm just not that big on boobs.

I think it might be time for another nap.

I'm making muffins. I love baking. They're a thank you to the cast at DC for doing such a good job at learning their lines. I wanted to make black forest ones by making chocolate muffins with a dollop of cherry jam in the middle but no one makes cherry jam. :( So I use plum jam instead. Which has melted everywhere.

On Friday I get to hang out with my two favourite people in the world and they happen to have the same name. My sister Jenny and my bestest friend ever Jenni. I can't wait.

Time to make icing.

Made my muffins today. Even iced them and decorated them with edible ballbearings. Eating them is like being five years old again.

Finished reading Persuasion and the Jane Austen Book Club recently. Jane Austen Book Club wasn't bad but it wasn't great. The movie wasn't much better. I bought Sense and Sensibility the other day but I think I might read some Agatha Christie first. There are a pile of unread books siting on my bedside table.

Nothing came from the job interview. It wasn't even a job interview. They had a group of us in the staff room and they asked us questions about what we'd been doing in the last 12 months, what we hoped to be doing in the next five years; that sort of stuff. I'm pretty certain they didn't ask me back for another interview because I have no previous experience in retail, which is on my CV so god knows why they had to waste my time with the friendly chat.

Does anyone else get warm fuzzies when they think of the BBC? I do. Radio in New Zealand is pants. BBC radio has Dead Ringers, The Penny Dreadfuls, I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue, The Museum of Everything, The Museum of Curiosity, Rigor Mortis and Old Harry's Game. None of which are pants. I love the BBC so much that I almost cried when I broke my BBC mug.

In other news, I'm making banana chocolate chip muffins tomorrow. I made some last week and put in a bit too much salt. It left a salty after taste. Mmm. Looking forward to eating one with a cup of tea. What would make it perfect is for my cross stitch magazines to arrive so I can flick through them while eating and drinking. I think I'm a middle-aged woman in a young woman's body. All I want to do is eat cake, do embroidery and watch day time telly.

Benjamin is no one's friends. If Benjamin were an ice cream flavour he'd be praline and dick.

Had a crazy dream last night about applying for a job at the local library where I grew up. Only it was being run by my ex-boyfriends mother. Her youngest son and daughter were working there while the son I went out with had found Jesus. Big disappointment for me.

Now I should shower and have breakfast as I have a job interview this morning.

Fishpond keep sending me $10 off vouchers which I would dearly love to use but I have no money. :( I want books.

Why do employers think it is ok to ask for a good sense of humour in an advertisement? What has my sense of humour got to do with my ability to do the job? I actually find it offensive.

Tripod were awesome. Gatesy was hot. Scod was hot. Yon was...Yon. Scod even sang to me as we were right up the front. Best night of my life.

Seeing Tripod tomorrow!! Been listening to nothing but Tripod songs this morning. Looked into buying Tripod Tells the Tale of the Adventures of Tosswinkle the Pirate (Not Very Well) on DVD. Mmm nostalgia. :D

At this moment I'm very excited. Going to see Tripod (Aussie comedy trio) on Thursday with "the boys" (my old flatmates). It's like 2000 all over again! Can't wait!

Mmmm, a cup of tea and cookies while watching an episode of QI. What a lovely way to finish the day. Specially after the mildly crap day I've had.
