It's the blog of a couple 82-year-old women who love to rant about politics.

"I am 82 years old (83 in December).  It’s time to hand the reigns over to the next generation and hope that we did a good job raising them.  To Senator McCain I say, with love in my heart, sit down and shut up.  You’re beginning to look like an ass and your answers sound like a cross between Barnie Fife and Floyd the Barber.  And no matter how many times you start a sentence with “My friends” if you end it with a bunch of stuff that really doesn’t make sense… well eventually someone like me is going to call “bullshit”."

You can't possibly be satisfied with who you are.

We should always strive to be better. It's always the same old excuses from the same old people.

Holy guacamole! [Sep. 25th, 2008|05:33 pm]
Almost done with the first week of school! So far this quarter seems like it will be easy peasy breeeeezy.

I thank Wes for reminding me of his post calling people out on their bullshit. By far the funniest piece of comedic nonfiction I've read in at last 29 hours.

I have a good game for us to play. I call it "Introduce James to females that are both attractive AND interesting". Seems like it's one or the other these days.  Unfortunately, I have almost impossibly high standards of both appearance and intelligence.

Sarah Palin is unbelievably ignorant. I can't wait to watch Biden-Palin debates. She seems unable to answer even the most fundamental questions.

I think I'll wear a toga tonight.

I don't post here enough. That's probably not gonna change.

Things have been good. I'm ready for school to start, and then end nine months later.

I really don't have anything to talk to you about.

Blue Boar is good. [Sep. 2nd, 2008|08:30 pm]
Reed, Mack, and I went climbing in Leavenworth on Sunday and Monday. It was a good trip. I scraped the shit out of my arm. I'm slowly getting my lead head back. I think we're going back again sometime before school starts.

It's good to have a dad that knows cars. What could have been catastrophic turned out to be a five minute fix.

Radiohead was good I suppose. They had some cool light shows. The weather was horrendous, but in a way that just made it better. Not a night I'll be forgetting anytime soon.

I honestly have no idea what I'm going to do with myself for the next month until school starts. I have about four friends that I ever really care to see. Two of them work all the time, one is going to california in a few days. Any old friends want to hang out?

Didn't think so.

My best friend leaves in three days. I guess I should consider getting a girlfriend or something. Or another addiction.

Reed should work less so we can climb more.

This school year is gonna be interesting. Physics and Calculus full force, gogo. Maybe I should switch to an easy, made-up major like art or music. Or philosophy lololol.

I want to see Pineapple Express.

Camping was good. We swam in the ocean. We drank some. We had a tent session that nearly killed me. What now? Going climbing.

How does one go about following up?

I've spent that past week and a half as a vagrant. Seattle, Bremerton, Port Townsend, Nicaragua.......never know where you'll find me.

The past five days have been better than I could have possibly hoped. This is what summer should be.

Yesterday Reed, Andrew, and I climbed Mt. Ellinor. We saw lots of mountain goats. At least two dozen. And they had babies. I'm pretty sure baby mountain goats are the cutest things ever. Oh, and the views were amazing of course. From the summit we could see Baker, Glacier Peak, Rainier, St. Helens, and Adams. That's every big mountain in the cascades. No haze ftw. Then we listened to Rodrigo y Gabriela and went in Lake Cushman. I couldn't ask for a better day.

Alex needs to get a job so we can go rock climbing.

I really don't see myself being at my apartment much for the next couple weeks. There's just too much to do.

Today's been a good day. I got to eat Noah's Ark on Andrew's porch; drive around aimlessly, eventually ending up at Central Market; and hang out with Vinny. That's right, Vinny.

Typical Kitsap County summer.

I think I figured out what my problem is.

That's not to say I've made any progress towards a solution, but knowing helps.

It's been a weird day.

Apparently I get to see my sister in a couple weeks. My other sister. My other other sister. The one you don't know. The younger one. Yeah, the one from the Virgin Islands. Weird.

Oh the things you don't know.

See the trick is to stay motivated and keep making plans.

I got really trashed with sisters, cousins, and co. last night. The fireworks were pretty nice I suppose.

I hope everyone had a good Freedom Day.
