Bangher and Leever
I saw a clip of this photo in an LJ user icon today. From the Google results, I can see that he picture has been making the rounds (short radius, long period rounds) for the last three or four years.
O, urban planners!
O, lo-effort photo manipulation. The colors are too clean, the typeface reminds me of Sim-Something. The bottom-most sign with parking regulations is unique to NYC; but the City's street name signs don't look exactly so. A search in Yahoo! Maps will yield no Bangher Avenue in any of the five boroughs.
There were only four pages of Google results (i.e. 40 or so links) with search terms bangher leever. Most of the hits were years old, but at least one is from last month. bangher leever fake produces zero hits.
This picture may become more (& wildly!) popular soon. It must be stopped before that happens.
