Mmmm, Monday. Weekend was fun. Piano lesson with student R. yesterday. His dad was disappointed that he didn't retain anything from last time, but eh. He's 7 years old. How much is he going to remember? Me, I think he'll need several lessons to identify the notes correctly and reliably, heh. We'll see. They can always quit if they want to. :P

I always feel so free after my lesson. All done for the week and all that. So I was in a very good mood last night while we did Dynamis - Bastok. Completely owned it again, with maybe more than 15 AF2 dropping. I got both rdm hands and thf body for myself. The thf body is quite useless, but maybe when I get the thf hands sometime in the far future, I'll be able to store the set, finally.

This morning I downloaded the first episode of True Blood. We did watch the leaked raw copy, but I'm really looking forward to this real one. We'll probably watch it tonight. I heard they replaced Tara, which was a shame. I liked her. But really, the most important thing is that they don't take Lafayette away. Yum yum yum...

We had a conference thingy yesterday all day. Got extremely sleepy, but oh my god the food... The lunch buffet was soooo great. Zucchini soup which tasted more like mushroom sherry soup, actually. It was to die for. Fabulous salad buffet with everything. Everything. Even real kalamata olives and excellent quality feta cheese. Herb salmon and home made country potatoes was the least impressive food, and even that was heavenly. I started missing the soup as soon as I walked away after lunch. Can we go back there please? Pretty please?

Today is ordinary and boring. I want that soup recipe...

I think I have some sort of cold. I'd say it was allergies, but it persists at work, so... Meh. Linda's been sick over the weekend too. Bad migraine + cold = unhappy Linda. Weather is meh too. But yes, fall and all that.

Reading courtship stories in HP fandom. Cozy stories for bad weather. Also, hoping that hurricane goes through with minimal damage...

Wheeeee, finally Friday! I woke up sneezing at 5 and couldn't go back to sleep, so I'm looking forward to nap time when I get home. Also, I get to buy wine.^^

Been reading some of the recs that [info]sherrold gathered about straight men who for some reason wind up in gay relationships. A couple of them were really good.

Still replaying Croc 2. Time for the Inca Village stage. Socute!

Dinner was great. H and A are always so much fun to be with, and T and his boyfriend P were also very nice to spend time with. I hadn't seen T for ages. Yummy food + yummy drink + outrageous conversation = <333333 We're definitely doing Thanksgiving with them again this year.

My 7 year old student, R, was also fun. He was such a little boy. Managed 10 minutes of concentration, then 20 minutes of fidgeting and waning focus, heh. Still, went very well. He was interested and clearly intelligent. He can't read yet, but at least he can write the letters and knows the start of the alphabet, so learning the names of the notes wasn't too difficult. Then we practised a few songs that went C - D - C - D - C, and C - H - C - H - C (B is called H in Sweden; the note that has the name B is H flat).

We did Dynamis - Jeuno yesterday and cleared with 18 people. I got myself some rdm pants, for nuking and spikes. :P

And now, more work.

Fixed the tickets for UppCon for two other children's librarians and myself. Going to be so much fun. I hope they'll show kickass films! I know there's going to be a concert with Machinae Supremacy. They do computer game inspired Metal. I'm not generally a fan of Metal itself, but if it sounds like game music I'm all for it!^^ This whole thing isn't until January, sadly... Sooner than that though, in mid-September, we're going on a three day trip to Gotland to see some fun libraries and enjoy the nature and food. I should see if I can borrow the library camera to take with me, so I can get some pics.

In other news, meetings are so boring. Just went to the first after vacations. Mehh.

Huh, getting a new piano student. 7 year old boy with some muscle problems. Playing the piano should be great for his manual dexterity, plus his dad says he likes music a lot. He'll be using a different book than student N, since he's younger. We'll start this coming Sunday, before student N's lesson. Hope it goes well. :)

Student N is doing well. Got her started on playing scales yesterday. We'll pick a new key every week I expect, in addition to her home work pieces. Yesterday was the first time she played both hands at the same time. Tricky, when you're not used to it.

This is so ridiculous. I'm trying to stretch my meds to the end of the month, because I don't have enough and no money with which to buy more, and apparently I can't even skip one day... First day without meds - omg so sleepy! Then a day with meds. Second day without meds - Heeeeeelp, headache, it huuuurts! *takes HALF a pill* *headache goes mysteriously away*

I hate being addicted.

My sweetie, [info]pierson, has her birthday today. I'm sorry I don't have much of a present for you, but maybe I can take you out to dinner when I get paid? I know you've been longing for sushi.

Anyway. I love you. And I'm proud of you, for not giving up and for doing so well in your new country. I know there hasn't been work for you yet, but we're so close, next week we should know definitely about that position.

We're invited to both [info]sushigirl101 and [info]mjlee this month. Yay two parties in a row!

At WAR 64... Sadly I can't level as fast now that work has started, but it's fun any way I do it. LS is doing Bahamut 2 tonight, but it's much too late for me. Too bad, because it would be fun to fight that. I just got to +1 my SAM pants too.^^

Been reading long stories with *gasp* mpreg in them. *Sigh* how the mighty have fallen...

P.S. Stupid fucking little children make me want to scream "Shut the fuck up!" at them.

Breaking Dawn was indeed very bad. I still had to finish it to see what happened, but oh my god if a fanfic writer had written this they would have been booed out of the arena...

Piano lesson today went fine. One of the girls quit, but the other is enthusiastic, so it's fun. Had Swedish coffee, and now I have a headache... I think I like Arabic coffee better.

Ahhhhhhhrgh back to work... I really can't complain - I had 5 weeks off - but still no fun to go back. I just ordered books from two catalogues to try and catch up. Information desk only two hours today, but there is so much to do! A whole long shelf of new book arrivals that need checking, planning to be done, ordering and tidying up...

We did Dynamis: Bastok yesterday, which is arguably the easiest zone of all Dynamis. Not all that many drops, but we cleared and farmed almost all the mobs available before time ran out. As in maybe 5 statues left in the whole area. With less than 30 people. Wow, this is so different from two years ago when we did Dynamis - we sucked much much more back then. I got the Samurai hands that dropped, so yay for that!

My first piano lesson went fine. I was a bit nervous, but the two girls I was teaching were genuinely interested and enthusiastic, and we had a lot of fun with the names of the notes. Naturally they have problems with their wrist position, but everyone does at first. I named their fingers 1 through 5 right away, so they'll get used to it. Their keyboard is so short though! It'll do for the first book of lessons, but if they want to continue, they'll have to get something better... After the lesson I got to taste Arabic coffee, which was really good. I almost drank the dregs though before I asked if I was supposed to drink it *all*, really? That was funny. They got me some water. :P And most of all, YAYS lovely extra money, which is SO NEEDED right now. 300 sek every weekend will help *a lot*.

Also, Linda may have a place she can work for a bit. Here's hoping!

Still doing pretty much nothing. Playing my game, sleeping, reading. Linda's back is acting up, so that's no fun at all for her. Cats are breaking things, as usual. Flies circle around the lamp in the middle of the room, like they always do in summer.

I have no stamina at all left, since I do nothing... Almost makes me look forward to work, so I'll at least walk some more.

Game news: well I got my drg 75, with awesome gear. I also did a quest where you kill 16 useless notorious monsters. It passed the time, heh. At the moment I'm camping Nue again... Killed him about 16 times already, no drop...

Enjoying my vacation. Dragoon to 66 so far. :)

We're not doing much of anything. Basically sleeping and using the computer in shifts, because we only have one now. The cats are happy to be on the balcony. Esfir already poked at the chicken wire enough to let her out on the balcony rail, the hussy. We keep an eye on her now.

Rereading The Administration fics. Yum.

Next to last day at work. I hope no last-minute catalogue turns up to make me have to order more books. Things are fairly quiet. Seems like they stopped with the jack-hammering outside. That was irritating.

I'm at 57 DRG. Scorpion Harness for the win! At last some decent accuracy. I guess I should go get my last two pieces of af. Not like I'm going to use the body, really, but the head will be good to have. I just wish it wasn't such a virulent shade of purple...

Meh, grouchy mom with little three year old son here - she's growling at him, keeps berating him. :(
