So...behind the curve a little bit I just saw it and wow it was dark. Not as dark as I thought it may be based on other people's reactions but much darker than 1-4. Heath Ledger nailed the Joker part but I was impressed with Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent, but was disappointed that they didn't spend enough time on that angle (sorry I'm a nerd for Harvey Dent's character from the comics). If you haven't seen it yet get to moving Chris Nolan needs your money.

I'm not a huge Rush fan but I give them points for doing this.

So...first of all AX 2008 Photos.

Here's as best of a summary as I can come up with for the trip to AX: best AX I've been to. Even though through bad luck I missed out on the Yoko Ishida concert (she was performing prior to the Jyukai concert) due to me losing my ticket only to find it about 15 minutes into the concert. I also missed out on an autograph by two people, but I did get to get a handshake which was nice and I did make it to the panel. I volunteered for the first time since 2002 (best thing I could have done) and met some nice new people. The LACC was a great venue we had plenty of room to move around and hardly and issues (one issue with the buses on Saturday afternoon but that was resolved by the night). And I picked up an award for most helpful volunteer (tied with another guy whose name I forgot).

Anyway, that's that.

Just got back about a couple hours ago, and I am exhausted. I will try and make a real post with pictures tomorrow. In the meantime I'm finally going to go to bed (start my new job tomorrow).

Fresno State 6 Georgia 1. Fresno Wins CWS 2-1. Yeah I know I didn't go to Fresno State but hey I can still be happy for them. This is probably the biggest thing to happen to the city of Fresno since William Saroyan or Ross Bagdasarian, Sr.

So...nothing new to say. I cleaned the apartment yesterday (badly needed) and today I cooked kabobs. And just now my cat poked a hole through my index finger because I moved a calculator that he had been pawing at (he doesn't do that with toys only people things >_>). That's it.

I did one of those MyAnime Lists just for fun, I don;t think it's complete but I can always go back and finish it. I've seen a lot apparently...

Well the website (http://www.scatter-gun.com) is finally back up and running again on a new host, it's still a little messy but it's almost all back up. I switched our stuff over to Dreamhost since my plan with the current host expires in two weeks and I just generally felt like it was not worth the price they wanted. You might notice something's different, I switches to using WordPress to manage most of the content (not that there is much but still) and that the galleries are now sorted differently. I'm generally happy with the new system as it appears a lot cleaner and it's really much easier for my more hands off philosophy for updating (I can only stand to be on a computer so much now thanks to my job).

My web site (www.scatter-gun.com) is going to be down for heavy maintenance. Not that there was any content anyone regularly viewed but in case you decided to go there for some reason that's what's up. My old web host made a boo-boo with their mySQL databases that fried my Gallery installs so I decided it was time to get a new host and that's what's going on. It'll probably be mostly back up tomorrow evening.
