How did I not know that Masi Oka is in Get Smart? Or that he gets his own spin-off movie? (I'm not sure if the spin-off being so close to the movie is a good thing or a bad thing, though, qualitywise).

I think I'm getting my SGA groove back! Slowly, but surely. It's probably got to do with the fact that I have to work basically non-stop this week-end, and there's nothing to encourage procrastination more than the fact that you have no spare time. :D

I've been starting to, ahem, reaquire SGA eps, and have been watching some favorite moments. I also opened a year-old (possibly two-year-old) WIP fic last night and actually felt tempted to work on it!

Hey flist,

some weeks ago, my computer was completely wiped and I lost many a gigabite of stuff vids and files and stuff, but I've chosen to see it as really (really really) intense spring cleaning, because I'm really bad at throwing away things. Thank god I had the various fic WIPs backed up on my server. However, I lost some vids I adore that I've forgotten who made.

The one that mainly comes to mind right now is a Heroes vid to the song "Goodbye Moon" by Shivaree.

Had my last day of work yesterday. Yet, am going to work today; ex-colleague sick. This sucks so much. I am not staying the whole day, I have things to do! ARGH!

ETA: Why didn't I just say no, or that I was busy? But thinking is not my strongest point when someone calls and wakes me up in the morning.

Today is my last day at work. I start my new job on Friday. MEEP.

On the one hand, I want this day to be over with, as I've seen all kinds of cool fic I wanna read pop up, plus I have some new games I wanna play, plus I should prolly do grown-up, responsible stuff like vaccuming (sigh), but OMG THAT MEANS THERE'S ONLY ONE MORE DAY TIL MY NEW JOB.

*breathes*

...when you're at work and for one flawless second the idea makes *perfect* sense: a fusion between SGA and Finding Nemo.

So. Am home sick. Have been having a fever and chills all weekend, on my third day now. Am on drugs (don't worry, the legal kind ;)) and thus I'm not feeling well exactly, but they've brought down the fever enough for me to be able to eat and leave the bed, and oh, get my internet up and running.

I WAS ROBBED OF INTERNET FOR 12 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is clearly more traumatic than being sick. ;)

A guy from the phone company called me today and gave me all the info I needed to get it started, plus he did some mumbo jumbo on his side, et voila, phone and internet. He also told me that I didn't have to pay the first two weeks of May, which is fair as they ROBBED ME OF INTERNET!

Am gonna go and heat up some soup now as the pills won't last forever. May pull out my Firefly DVDs and have a marathon.

Well. At least a sprint.

No sign of life for the past few weeks (save for a short but potent Nuke post, ahem), but I am still alive! Still working and moving and cleaning and...well, angsting. About the current work with the dragon queen boss (who isn't here right now, thank GOD, but she will be, possibly a lot during May) and new work.

Today I'm going to one of the local grocery stores to have a test day of sorts. It's both a chance for them to see how I am at work and how I work with the other staff, but also a day for me to try it and have a chance to go "no way, too stressful" (as if I would: it's work!).

I'm also nervous because not only do I need to know if they want me for the job, I need to know of there's any possibility for work past the summer, or I'll have to consider working at a home for the elderly (which will almost certainly have work in the future, plus I have inside people who will give me good character references). Nerves all around.

On a less nerve-related note, I'm moving on Saturday. So, after work (gulp) today, I go home to my apartment (for the last time, wah) to pack pack pack, and Saturday we're renting a trailer and moving all the furniture and move boxes. Bye bye, old apartment, hello, new one. Mixed feelings.

Okay, gonna wrap this up and get ready. A good thing is that the boss of the store said I'd get an answer quickly if I wanted it. And I do. So, hopefully I'll know by the end of the day how I did.
