i keep eating magnolia bakery since i'm a fat gay tourguide who wants to keep his tourists happy
-the first night rick was here we saw an elderly fred schneider (nyc celebrity sighting #121) in the subway, which reminds me that two weeks ago in palo alto i saw a lazily incognito neil young (pa celebrity sighting #1) in the apple store on university when i was there with [info]jerp and [info]hilly_jane but had forgotten to write about it here. lalala rick and i ended up hitting up verlaine and phoenix and the next night we went to the hole with paulgina and it was crazy-fun and rock-n-roll and open bar and blah blah blah GAY.

-carie and joe left saturday and i was sad when i brought them to the airport on the e (which is much faster than that damn a train). we had had tons of fun, from schiller's to sylvia's to benny's to katz's deli to corner bistro to verlaine and finally to magnolia almost every single fucking night, including once when we saw karen 'duff' duffy (nyc celebrity sighting #122) chatting away on her celly outside in the cold. hee! carie and joe were in awe that she was there. we also walked 100 blocks home at one point and they totally loved doing that too.

-last night at boysroom rick and i spotted a very-slimmed-down boy george (who i've seen before) and yet another friend of mine who wishes to never be mentioned here on LIVEJOURNAL cuz of prospective employers finding out about him being a GIANT GAY HOMOSEXUAL. rick and i danced our little hearts out downstairs and some old-school berkeley people were randomly there too or something? huh? this morning we went to brunch with thomas and luc at intermezzo and spotted ron from 'manhunt' swishing in to meet up with friends and/or gay luvahs. i'll just tack him on to the duff sighting since no one really gives two shits about either of them. then rick and i saw 'bad education' which was confusing like a james bond movie and racy like that recent ice-cube-melting episode of 'rw/rr challenge: battle of the sexes 2.' then we came home and watched the season premiere of '24' since apparently that shit's bigger than god over in europe. notice how i didn't write 'God.'

back in the summer of 1997 he and i became certified travel agents in a class with a fun woman named bindi who was kinda dumb and video taped our 'graduation party' which was just a non-alcoholic potluck affair in the classroom. we were the only guys in the class and so we were obsessed with her and the turkish substitute teacher named gülay gür
