How cool is that?! It's for Spike and Xander's Excellent Hogwarts Adventure. The award is a Judge's Choice Ecstasy Award and the lovely judges said What happens when Spike and Xander are dropped into the bodies of Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy during an argument while watching the latest movie? This fantastically funny, UST-filled adventure to find their way home. It may only be rated PG-13, but it'll definitely get your motor revving!

The last part of Deathboy didn't get much feedback. I'm not complaining (much) because *I* like it so pffft to the rest of you ::grin:: Also 'cause some people responded to the poll. Turns out Spander is the way to go ::is shocked:: No, really.


I'm kinda sorta working on the drabble call from before. Turns out work was more hectic than I expected but I get a four day weekend so there will be drabbles posted soon. Tomorrow even!



In other news, it's hot and sunny! HOT! And SUNNY! ::is in heaven:: I missed this kind of weather. ::wriggles her toes in the sun::

I got inspired by felisblanco's post and have decided to follow in her footsteps. ::beams:: So, pick an icon, any icon either mine or yours and I shall whip up a drabble for you within the next week. As always, with drabbles anything goes so long as it's in one of the fandoms I write in: BtVs/Angel (natch), Harry Potter, Supernatural, Discworld.

I'll definitely do the first fourteen (I figure I can handle at least two a day) but if I'm still in the mood and inspired after that I'll keep on going. If I even get fourteen requests! Somehow I doubt I will ::grin::

But remember, as felisblanco said: And this may sound redundant but just because an icon is pretty doesn't mean it has a story to tell.

Anyone ever thought to write an Indiana Jones/ Stargate series crossover? Because oh the posibilities! There's John and Daniel and that guy whose name I forget, the tall dreadlocked one in Atlantis? And Indiana Jones looks all geeky in his university setting, I betcha John and the other Atlantis guy would be so amusingly surprised to see him in action. And Daniel could find someone else who would get as excited as him about the stuff they find in other worlds.

Or with BtVS. Spike or Xander or Wesley would all make a good partner for the doc.

Or with Supernatural! Dean would annoy him soooo much and vice versa!



Now, I'm running on the theory that if I've thought of a slash pairing, someone else thought of it first and possibly wrote it out. So I'm hoping there's at least one such fic out there. If there isn't, there should be!

Speaking of Deathboy & Co I have a little question here that I would love for you guys to help me with. See, when I started the fic I was thinking in terms of Spander but as I go on it seems that a gen fic might work just as well if not better. The thing is, I'm not sure. So...if my mostly spandery list could take off their slash hats for a moment... ::waits patiently:: ...and put on their BtVS/Discworld fan hats please... ::waits some more:: ...and answer the following question:

My parents are gone so I'm back online. I did the tourist thing like never before! We went to some places I'd already been to but it was fun to see them again so no complaints. ::grin:: My mum even reorganised my kitchen when dad was late waking up one day. She always needs to do stuff and I was at work all morning so she occupied herself by making my kitchen more functional. I'd complain but I like it better this way!

I did spent entirely too much money on things like little antique ivory elephants (you can't sell ivory anymore so by definition, anything ivory on the market is old) from an antiques market in my neighbourhood and a little tiffany lamp but as my parents seem to be biologically unable to let me pay for things when they're around, those are the only things I paid for all week. Well, those and some train tickets because the machine would only take local cards and thus I had a clear and winning argument to pay!

In other actual life news, my sister and best friend remain happily pregnant, I remain mildly annoyed at missing both pregnancies and my little sister remains very excited at being godmother to our itty bitty niece-to-be. In non-baby news, I have decided to join a gym because even though I'm not exactly overweight (I checked! I'm smack dab in the middle of the average bit of the chart) I am very, very unfit.

What else...I finished the Remus/Sirius fic, which now has a title that won't be disclosed because I'm pretty sure I'm not supposed to let you all know which fic is mine. I can now go back to writing Deathboy & Co and ignoring the little James Jr/Teddy bunny that has been stealthily getting closer for days.

I finished my Remus/Sirius fic for rs_games! ::beams at everyone around:: It's done! Except for the betaing and minor rewriting that always follows the betaing. Which leads me straight to the reason for my post. Anyone out there want to beta it for me? It's my first big Sirius/Remus story and I'm more than usually uncomfortable with just shoving it out there.

So, I kinda need someone who knows the boys enough to tell me if I'm completely off base and who can possibly fix the commas. I tend to overuse the little bastards ::grin:: Also, I'd need it looked over by Tuesday morning my time (Monday night in the US) because the parentals are coming and there will be no time to rewrite after Tuesday afternoon.
