Korean food is becoming popular in Japan. I think the reason is that there are both similarity and difference with Japanese food. The difference is that most of the Korean dishes have hot and sour taste. For example, the traditional food, kimchi, tastes very hot, but it goes well with rice, which Japanese people like very much. It is also attractive for people to be able to get a lot of small appetizers before ordering the main menu. It includes not only some vegetables but also some soup and meat. The best thing is that people can eat as much as they want for free. On the other hand, the similarity is the atmosphere. People can sit together around a table and share some of the dishes such as BBQ and bibimbap. They can really enjoy eating at a homey atmosphere. Following those reasons, I believe that Korean food is very attractive for Japanese people.

Philadelphia is one of the good places to visit in USA. There are some reasons. First, the public transportation is very convenient. Second,it has a lot of historical places, so you can learn American history. Also, you can enjoy both old and modern art works. And then, there are some exotic places such as China town, Italian town. Finally, you can enjoy shopping and eating in those places.
Philadelphia is not so big city, but you can enjoy various things at a time.
You will never get tired.

New York is my favorite city in America. I went there,when I lived in Philadelphia, which is located south of New York. I always went there by bus, which is called the China town bus. It costs only $20 round trip, so I have been there for several times. New York has a lot of interesting or unique places to visit. Central Park, a lot of museums, and so on. Espesially , I liked to go shopping at Soho. I could buy a lot of stuffs ,like clothing CDs and food. I spent much time and money there. I want to go there once again. |

I like cooking, so I usually cook by myself. These days, I'm interested in new food which I've never cooked before. It's not only Japanese food but also another country's food. Yesterday, I cooked Bibinpa, which is Korean food I like. I put boiled vegetables and meat on some rice and eat with the sesame tasted sauce and an egg. It tasted so good!! I could do well. From now on, I'll try to cook more dishes. |

I've stayed in Philadelphia in USA for ten months. I went there last year, and joined an English program in University of Pennsylvania.The university has very historical and beautiful campus,so I felt comfortable. I often chatted and had lunch with my friends, and sometimes I read books and took a nap alone on the grass. In Japan, students usually don't do such things, so I could spend precious time. |

Last Saturday, I went to Umeda in Osaka to see my friends. The reason that we got together was to have a farewell party for one of them, who is going to Australia to study abroad. We ate Mexican foods that she likes and gave her a gifts and farewell cards. We were glad to make her happy. |
