This is a really cool magnetic puzzle. It has 216 spherical magnets, enough to make a 6x6x6 cube or just about anything else.

| Hello |
[29 Sep 2008|02:07pm] |
I just joined and I thought I'd introduce myself before posting.
Sometimes when I'm walking down the street at night and someone is coming in the opposite direction I consciously think "strafe right" and wish I had a gravity hammer in case things go all melee on me.

| red rings |
[06 Sep 2008|07:58pm] |
I tried to turn on my Xbox 360 yesterday, and like millions before me (including the majority of my Friends on Xbox Live) I was exposed to the dreaded Red Ring of Death. My Xbox is dead. Nothing but the read ring.
This evening, I came across this little gem of an article about the whole situation. I can't believe some of the things I'm reading here. I play my 360 maybe 4 hours a week, and it's broken in 2 years? I played my regular Xbox for 4 years and did not have a single issue with it. My Sega Genesis still works. My original Gameboy still functions. 2 years? Come on now Microsoft. Let's hope this doesn't become too routine in the gaming world. Cutting costs in order to be the first out of the gate. Sad days.

Heres how to make some KFC crispy chicken at home:
Ingredients:
1 whole frying chicken, cut up (code for a chicken cut up) 6 to 8 cups vegetable oil
Marinade: 4 cups water 1 tablespoon salt 1/2 teaspoon MSG (Basically what this is is Accent seaoning salt which can be found in any local super market)
Coating: 1 egg, beaten 1 cup milk 2 cups flour 2 1/2 teaspoons salt 3/4 teaspoons pepper 3/4 teaspoons MSG (see above)
Steps: 1. Trim any excess skin and fat from the chicken pieces. Preheat shortening in a deep fryer (or a really good deep sturdy pot) to 350 degrees. 2.Combine the water, salt, and 1/2 teaspoon MSG for the marinade in a large bowl. Add the chicken pieces and let it sit for 20 minutes. Turn the chicken pieces now and then as it marinates. 3.Combine beaten egg and milk in a medium bowl. In another medium bowl combine the remaining coating ingredients (flour, salt, pepper, and 3/4 teaspoon MSG). 4.When chicken has marinated, transfer each piece to paper towels so that excess liquid can drain off. Working with one piece at atime, first coat the chicken with the dry flour mixture, and then back to the milk and egg mixture and back to the flour. Be sure each piece is evenly coated. Stack each piece on a plate or cookie sheet untill each piece has been coated. 5. Drop the chicken, one piece at a time, into the hot vegetable oil (vegetable shortening is called for but personally It takes too long to melt and heat so either really works.).Fry 4 pieces at a time for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Be sure to stir the chicken with metal tongs or something halfway through the cooking time to ensure even cooking. 6.Remove the chicken to a rack or cookie sheet with paper towels to drain for about 5 to 10 minutes before eating. Serves 3 to 4 people (More depending on how much chicken you fry).
Okay enjoy and happy eating. If anyone wants more stuff like this let me know!

For sake of shameless self plugging. Here is my Nintendo Wii Commercial I made back in film school. It is shot on 16mm. My buddy RJ is the star.
The only video I have currently not on Youtube is my short film, which can be found on my website, which there is a link to in my profile I believe.
Enjoy!

Dr. Horrible T-Shirts Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog was released this week! It stars Nathan Fillion (Firefly), Neil Patrick Harris (he's everwhere), and Felicia Day (The Guild), and was directed by Joss Whedon. We're huge fans of all of them, and in an effort to support a killer grassroots project, we got involved and printed up some of the shirts they designed as props in the movie. It's hilarious and absolutely rocks, receiving nothing but rave reviews. Check it out (it's linked off their J!NX mini-store)! Then come back and buy a shirt :)
Watch it here!!!
