When trying to set up computer to interface with boyfriend's new router, there are some things to double check when you are trying to figure out why you have no internet connectivity....
-signal strength
-password/code
-trying pinging the darn thing to make sure you're connected.
-making sure the cable to the internet is plugged into the back of the router....which it wasn't.

I'm doing horrible at keeping this up to date, but busy busy, so oh well.
Christmas with the family went fine. L got sick at the end and now has the cough that never ends.
Went to Freeze-out over MLK Jr. Weekend. Was alot of fun, but got me thinking I should try to organize something similar for my friends, though what weekend to do it i wouldn't know. I'm taking suggestions.
Last weekend did the polar bear plunge in MD. All I have to say is OMG pain. DO NOT WANT!
Up next : girly weekend!
in unrelated news: I has Wii !!!!!

-7.5 hours is entirely too long to be in a car even with breaks.
-WTF. Vegas east? South of the Border is more interesting when driving by at night.
-Deep Fried turkey = awesome.
-Sushi also yummy
-Wii will own your soul and make your arm hurt. *wants*
-From scratch sweet tea....mmmm
-cannot watch two rivalry football games on the same day. too much.
Christmas shopping/planning is not going well capt'n. Extremely exhausted. Have no ideas for parents.
C'ville on Sat. started typing in an email today and misspelled it as Charlottesvile. I have no idea why charlotte is vile but at the end of my work day it made me laugh. And now is sleepytime.

I've been keeping up with all of you fairly well, but my posting has been well lacking I suppose.
Tomorrow is Thursday, which means pay day and Grey's with the boys. I am highly amused by the fact that so far this season I've watched the show with a group of men. We're adding a new female member to the mix tomorrow.
I need to go shopping badly! I've been needing a mall run for like weeks and nothing. I'm starting to think maybe Filene's would be a good starter and then tysons, because it is my crack. Also It's only 41 days until Christmas, and teh hell if I know what to do/get for it.
Also who's gonna be in town around then? because I am off of work from the 25th of Dec until the New Year and aside from holidays and my birthday, I'll need a fair amount of fun time intermingled with my relaxing. Leave comment or call me.
So far 2008 is wide open for weekends/visiting except for one weekend in January and a week in May or so. Please give me a few weeks notice as my scheduling as of late has been busy.
I suppose not much else has been going on other than busy weekends followed by busy weeks. C'est La vie.
adieu.

Life's been happening while I've been making plans. course the plans are why I have only 3 full weekends until the end of the year with absolutely nothing left in them. there are a lot of Sundays still open for those of you trying to get a visit with me. Contact me for dates. I did actually chop my hair, so that's off the list and except for a few left I've paid the bills. No sewing has happened as yet, which is annoying me, but I have to clean before I can do that, which involves laundry which I should be 75 percent done with after tonight and hopefully 100 percent done with after the weekend. this is so I can sort out what I do not want/does not fit anymore and give it off to Jo when I see her later next month.
Other than that, L bought a house, which is yay. it's small but perfect for him for now. Only problem is the cabinets in the kitchen are too tall for me to reach the top shelf. oh well, it's what I get for being a shorty. We're planning an IKEA run Saturday and gonna go see Resident Evil before he flies out on business Sunday.
There's the whirlwind tour of my life recently.

I've been running around trying to accomplish things the past few days.
Things I want to /need to do :10 Me:2
This is due to getting out of the office later than usual, dinner being later, me being a slacker, or just a random tonight didn't work as planned.
Things that were accomplished:
Purchasing more fabric for sewing, though no actual sewing had occurred as yet.
Calendar scheduling is complete up through the end of the year, weekends left w/o anything scheduled: 4, this is not including a wedding I was just informed of. Though that weekend was already blocked out as busy, it just got busier. and includes PA. blech.
Things I still need to do:
Get this hair chopped for the love of god.
work on passport application
laundry
bills ( though luckily none of them are due until later this month)
sewing.
Things most likely to get done before the end of the weekend:
Hair cut
bills
*sighs* Life happens when you're making plans. Christmas is looming and I have no idea what to do for it, for anyone.

I went to Richmond for Josh and Ginny's wedding this weekend. Ginny's dress was absolutely beautiful and I couldn't be happier for the two of them. When I was first seated in the church i was mistakenly sat where the grooms family went ;) I'm "family" just not blood.
Went to BG for Friday night and today. I have now ridden the newest coaster 7 times in the four times i' ve been there on my pass. Speakin of which it dies Sept 3rd and I'd love to go with a bunch of people. so let me know. next weekend is no good. Let me know what's good and we'll go from there.
I think it is time to flop now. g'night

I've had a song stuck in my head for the past few hours and i have no idea how it got there, as haven't heard this song in quite sometime . Kinda vexing.
I found my Pixie mix the other day which is yay. Also mom got pictures from my graduation developed which is also yay even if it is a year later.
I think now it's time to go do some reading or writing or something . I'm bored could ya tell?

I love amusement parks. I really love roller coasters.
That being said this is what I rode today at Kings Dominion:
-Rebel Yell - 6 times (2 forward, 4 backward, would have been more backwards, but they didnt open the backwards line until 12 noon, and then they closed it for reasons unbeknownst to us as we were about to do round 7)
-Grizzly - 3 times
-Volcano - 1 time, was the longest wait of the day, most of the coasters we pretty much walked right on.
-Flight of Fear - 1 time - frieking awesome, 2nd longest wait, but was inside.
-Anaconda- 1 time, next time will have to stay the whole day and ride in dark, that's when it's the best
-Hurler - 2 times, much fun.
Not ridden:
Hypersonic: long line, didnt actually look all that fun
Shockwave: long line
Italian Job: long line
And a good day overall not too humid and good fun with a friend. If anyone wants to do a second day with me I would not be opposed to going again sometime this season. There may be a trip down in October for their Halloween thing.

Meme:
1. My user name is mystymoonsilver because:
I chose an alias of Mystycal Moonsilver back in my freshman year of college for on-line things and the like.
2. My journal is titled "The Journey" because:
Life is a journey. It takes you many places sometimes far from home and it's good to have companions along the way.
3. My subtitle is "The road less traveled by..." because:
It's part of a Robert Frost poem, about coming to a crossroads on a path in the woods and taking the road less traveled and it making all the difference in the world to him. I liked it because my life is kind of like that. I generally do not make myself do what is considered the norm, rather what will make my life that much more fulfilling.
4. My friends page is called "Friends" because:
I haven't come up with anything more interesting.
5. My default user pic is Willow because:
Ben (diamond_dust06) made this one. I like it because I love the character Willow from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and because it's one of my favorite lines from the fifth season.

So I'm trying to come up with a good list of cars to test drive and compare before I purchase one later this month. Am trying to wait until the 28th to actually buy, so that i only have one 6 month period of high insurance before my rates drop a bit at the gilded age of 25.
On my list so far:
Honda Civic/ Civic Hybrid ( years roughly 2002-2004ish)
Chevrolet Aveo ( 4 door, not hatchback)
Toyota Prius ( way out of my price range but still want to test drive for the heck of it)
So see really short list.
Any opinions on the above? any suggestions for other models to try?
My criteria: Fuel Economy I want good gas mileage (read close to 30 city), Price under 12,000, Year somewhere 2000 or above, car must be automatic.
Well guess that's it for now. I'll try to post more soon like about my OMG awesome trip to Busch Gardens.

Roommate and I went random driving tonight. We weren't hungry until about an hour after work let out. while one our search for food this quote happened simultaneously....
"The Magic Skillet.....No."
This random moment brought to you by the letter Y the number 42 and the fact it is late and I am tired.

Where do we go from here?
This isn't where we intended to be
We had it all, you believed in me
I believed in you
Certainties disappear
What do we do for our dream to survive?
How do we keep all our passions alive,
As we used to do?
Deep in my heart I'm concealing
Things that I'm longing to say
Scared to confess what I'm feeling
Frightened you'll slip away
You must love me
You must love me
Why are you at my side?
How can I be any use to you now?
Give me a chance and I'll let you see how
Nothing has changed
This isn't where we intended to be
We had it all, you believed in me
I believed in you

You must love me
You must love me
Why are you at my side?
How can I be any use to you now?
Give me a chance and I'll let you see how
Nothing has changed
On just an ordinary day,
A weapon drawn, and lives forever changed
One act of violence made the world stop and watch
And on a drillfield by candlelight we prayed
And with questions on our minds, we wonder where the future lies
As we look up to heaven with hope in our eyes
Where do we go from here
Can we overcome this fear
And find a healing for the pain, and see the sun beyond the rain
We've got the strength to endure,
And soon we'll feel more secure
In a world filled with hate, we need to become something great
Oh God, send your mercy this way, for we're all Hokies today
And to the ones who fell that day
In our hearts your love will never fade away
We're picking up the pieces to build a better tomorrow
We'll find a joy, to move on from the sorrow
By the color of the leaves, you know He has us on his mind
So we look up to heaven with hope in our eyes
Where do we go from here
Can we overcome this fear
And find a healing for the pain, and see the sun behind the rain
We've got the strength to endure,
And someday we'll feel more secure
In a world full of hate, we need to become something great
Oh God, send your mercy this way, cuz we're all Hokies today
The spirit lives on, don't let it be gone, let it shine forever
And through the heartbreak, for the lost and their sakes, let it bring us together

"You who dwell in the shelter of the Lord
who abide in his shadow for life
say to the Lord my refuge, my rock in whom I trust
And he will raise you up on eagle's wings
bear you on the breath of dawn
make you to shine like the sun
and hold you in the palm of his hand."
