I've got to say, I love broccoli. It might be my favorite veggie (besides tomatos, which are really considered a fruit so they don't count) I love steamed broccoli. We had a lovely bamboo steamer which we used all the time until I caught it on fire about 8 months ago, it was a sad sad day. But we did get a fancy pants electric steamer from Tom's parents for Christmas, and have been able to enjoy our beloved broccoli ever since. For the past month or so I've been working on this little broccoli guy. Whenever I had a free couple of minutes in the car, or while waiting in line I would take him out and crochet a little more. Orignally I wanted him to be a handbag, but the more I worked on him, I saw he would be much to small. I also thought about making a pattern for him, and submitting him for the new Stitch and Bitch book Debbie Stoller is working on...but yeah, missed the deadline on that one. So now he will simply sit on our plushy shelf and be a tribute of sorts to the tastiest veggie of them all!
I updated the shop with new paintings and yarn. Thomas and I have been spending almost every evening together painting. Once the kiddos are asleep we spread out all of our stuff and work side by side, while watching cheesy movies and reciting our favorite funny lines (flash back to The Family Guy when Peter is in court...everyone says "oh no!" "oh no!" In bursts the kool-aid guy "OH YEAH!" then backs outs slowly and runs away) cracks me up everytime! I'll be spinning even more yarn today, and probably painting again tonight. I have been thinking about making one day a week a day to make stuff for the Renegade craft fair. Since it's a two day fair, i know i really need to start getting stuff made now. I'm so excited about all the crafty ladies I will get to meet! I know Ms. Frecklewonder, Ms. WonderlandQ, and Ms. Pomly will be there, who else?
