If at first.....
So last night I gave the elephant pattern another try and came out with a little bit better fellow. I even gave him eyes and a scarf (it gets chilly in the evenings!) I want to maybe add a hat and little snow boots too.

And since I was in an animal making kick I decided to try and make my own pattern for a deer. Now he looks a little bit like the taco bell dog, but he is a deer--dammit :)

Tpday we went and bought a new table and chairs at Ikea...and a bunch of other exciting stuff. On the way out I hear this cute girl with glasses asking "Are you Heidi?" Turns out she reads my journal and I met her at the crafty bastards show. Haha, what a crazy small world!! So hello again!


Then we headed over to the school to vote, and use the bathrooms. The bathroom I went in had big open showers, and it wasn't even in the locker room-how odd. The day is just getting better though, tonight Thomas and I have a date!

I'm highly impressed at your ability to make your own patterns. I would love to know how to do that :) But I can barely follow some of the patterns that come with the costumes I make :)

you should give it a go sometimes, while obviously it doesnt always work out, it is always fun and can be such a big surprise in the end! :) or try altering a few patterns first!

we've done minor alterations to the costumes I've made, mostly because I don't often fit into their sizings :)

But the animals are too cute :) I'll have to see if there are any books around that I can get to look at the patterns

I LOVE the deer! I think that you should sell your trial animals on your site...i bet tons of people love the little imperfect darlings!

YAY! A DATE! A date with no kids is always welcome! I myself wish for one soon!

Now off to try to put clear PVC heart panels into a skirt..wish me luck!

that's funny, we voted at a school too. i thought it was a weird cuz i've never voted in a school before. it was handy, tho. i voted, went to the book fair, & got to see my kiddies :)

awwww. i wish my hub & i could have a date. it's kinda hard finding a babysitter when you have three kiddies. oh well. we love them lots.

The deer is adorable! Maybe if you made him with longer legs (deer have long legs in my head) he'd look less like a dog. The elephant is also adorable.
