stupid stupid stupid

This will be a short post as I have to type with one hand for the next couple of days. I was doing something that I should not have been doing (cutting towards myself) and I slipped and after a trip to the emergency room my thumb now looks like this:

It's a bummer that I don't have health insurance this month too. :(

Oh, and I need to keep it elevated. oh boy.

hey, I should phonepost and let you people do all the work.

Re:

hey I hope it heals fast and you don't have much pain!
So far so good. The thumb doesn't hurt, it's the tetanus shot that feels like I got knuckle-punched in the arm :P

Re:

i'm lucky I never had to get any of those. but yea the shot is always the worst thing... *remembers her wisdom-teeth operation*
erm... you do know yer sposta get a tet shot once every 10 years dontcha? when was your last one? ten years goes by way faster than we all think.... *recently realized this whole 'growing-up' thing flies by pretty fast*
prolly but I never got all the shots I was supposed to as a kid so I don't think it matters much now.
I mean my doc knows me for quite some time now and I think she would have mentioned it already if it were a vital thing. {she mentions everything else that I need to get or do or what not... }
One time this big brazilian nurse that didn't speak english gave me a penicillin shot right in the butt cheek in front of like 20 people. That was awesome.
yuck! shots in the fingers hurt SOOO bad.. i had to have 3 shots into my finger so they could re-break it after the ER didnt bother to set it *grumbles*

hope you get better soon!!
ow ow ow ow ow ow ow

ugh, I can't even imaging how that must feel to have your bone broken intentionally, but my brain is certainly trying to think about it.

the good news is that the bandages are off and my thumb is mostly back to normal. I can't bend it all the way yet because it's still healing, but that will come with time :)
Wait, you ride a motorcycle with no health insurance?

Don't forget lots of vitamin E to keep scarring down!
yeah, good point. I haven't actually been riding it hardly at all while without insurance. Just once, which was yesterday. Guess I stay off it for a while now then.
does that mean we only have to pay you 1/2? :)
I guess that I'll just have to work twice as long then ;)
Major ouchie!!
Hey, look on the bright side. You're just giving the world a thumbs up by default. ^-^

Hope that gets better for you soon.
You could get some nice robes and do the "Buddy Christ" thing for awhile ;)
BAHAHAHAHA!!!! that's classic.
That could work!
Ouch. :( Worse thing I ever did was cut my whole arm on glass. It wasn't pretty.

Load up on the vitamins there!
Woah man, i remember when i broke 4 fingers and a couple of toes, good luck with that hand man.
Hey, well at least now maybe you can hitchhike. Interplanetary.
Now you're a permanent hitch hiker!

:) Hope you feel better
