don't say I never gave you anything
In the spirit of utter boredom insanity giving, if anyone wants me to write a ficlet for them and wants to provide an opening line or some words or something (no laundry list. I'm talking things like, "angry, elephant, Ron" or "His mother always said he'd come to a bad end."), I'm game.

Also, I have LJ codes, so if you're lurking and you want an LJ of your own, or you just want to be able to comment and not be anonymous, drop me a line or put an email address in the comments.

I'm hungry and I'm running into the difficulty of not having my murderer's motivations worked out before I start, so I don't know what clues to plant, exactly. Is very frustrating.

Um...

OK...

Here goes:

"Harry knew giving Snape the gift certificate was a mistake, but somehow he couldn't stop himself."

Not much, sorry. Not one of what passes for my brain's better days. Sigh. Ficlet would be nice *G*.

Ooooh. Free ficlets. :-) ::looks forward to results::

Opening line: "This photograph is my proof." It needn't necessarily be first-person.

Well, I don't want this in particular for ME, but I think it's interesting to write and I can't figure how.

I'm watching a show on reptiles and there was a phrase used -- "Lizard skin colour is more concerned with sex, threat, and disguise". Those three words seem to be a great fic inspiration somehow, either as words in the fic or as themes -- I just can't figure out how.

Bonus if you work lizards in. *grin*

He should have known better than to bother, but unfortunately there wasn't much going on in Wesley's life at the moment that was more important than a vampire with a soul AND a gambling problem.

Will/Vaughn.

His hands are scarred from the fire (long writer's fingers stained 'round and 'round with pink), and he never seems to know what to do with them any more.

(In responce to another post of yours...)

If you're not feeling the Will/Vaughn (it seems I'm often the only one who ever does):

'And the stars, they fall down on you like diamonds.'

Your choice. Because I don't want to be too annoying.

That wasn't actually directed at you. I'm sorry you thought it was.

I'll see what I can do on the Will/Vaughn, though I have no feel for either of them.

Hmm....

that just gave me an idea...

A ficlet? Hmmmmm... giving you something character- or fandom-specific feels like cheating, so I will give you a quote which you may or may not wish to put in its original fandom context -- Cordelia to Giles in "Gingerbread."

"How many times have you been knocked out, anyway?"

Ummm...I don't think I can top the lizard suggestion (and the cucumbers in the ficlet - is there really such a thing as cucumber soap? Either way, I wish I could write anything as decent in fifteen minutes!) Anyway, I'm something of a lurker, though I have posted anonymously once or twice. A code would be appreciated, since I'd love to comment more, but have some e-mail difficulties. My address: laurenmarise@gmx.net

Cheers,

I sent the code, so let me know if you don't get it.

Also, yes, there is cucumber soap (I happen to have a bar in my shower atm, which is why I thought of it. Smells lovely and fresh, but not overpowering.).

Glad you liked the ficlet.

But okay, humor. future. A meeting with the Drs. Granger for Remus. I can do that. *g*

I dunno. Something tells me that it's going to be *quite* amusing. Poor, poor Remus.

I remember in my big Willow/Giles epic that the "meeting the parents" fic was too fun to write. I might also have a thing for intelligent men who can outlogic stupid ageism issues, but that's a whole 'nother story. Hee.

Getting this right in under the wire fits my M.O., it does.

First line: It didn't make any sense.

Words: shave, obsequious, bias, reservation

Object: the fedora! or, um, a stolen ring

Emotion: cranky

Setting: a late-model Crown Victoria, and/or a bridge

Suggestion: Munch/Tutuola

Take as much of that as you find helpful, leave everything else... so long as Munch stays in. Munch crossed over to a WB show (or pretty much anywhere, and there's been no dearth of suggestions regarding that) and paired off with someone, or even no one, else would be all good too. Hell, put him with Indy if you're so inclined.
