I can't believe it has been 1 year 4 months and 13 days since I last posted in my journal. I guess that is what happens when you let your job control your life. I haven't made a new vid in 'dog ears' (which I hope my memory serves me right is a British phrase for "long time"). I hope to get back into the swing of things as I rebuild my PC a la 6 Million Dollar Man - stronger, faster, and hopefully more reliable. I'm finally able to do some work on my Prowlers R Us site and revise the video section with updated links to the videos provided by LTG, AerynSG, Li Moss, fieryhands and Aislynn. It is a little slow going as the video host doesn't have great upload speed but I am thankful to be able to put my vids back online again.

I was going through some of my old items and found my Lego build of a Mad Cat. I still am a Battletech fan! I wanted to get pictures of this before it was destroyed. I don't glue my LEGO creations together. The 12 inch ruler on the right side is for scale. The little LEGO pilot is approximately 1 inch tall.
A few older LEGO creations I made but "fell" were Enterprise E approximately 18 inches in length, SR-71 blackbird approximately 18 inches in length, Raiders of the Lost Ark Flying Wing approximately 12 by 14 inches. I have pictures of all of them somewhere.

Wow it has been a long time and a lot has happened since my last entry. Kansas (sniff) closed and Terra Firma began, I lost all my personal video files from my PC then found out my online file host disappeared off the face of the Earth but thanks many friends at Terra Firma and Lost Video Island I now have most of my videos back, I have been busy working with my sister to help her with a dog treat business.
I hope to get started updating my journal more often and to work on my Farscape website. I also intend on getting my Battlestar Galactica website up and running.
That's about it for now.

I just found out my BSG video was shown at the Burbank convention. For those of you who couldn't attend but are curious, here is the link to my video page where you can download the file.

"Can't get you out of my head" was the brainchild of Jr Miss Tough Chick who suggested the song by Kylie Minogue which is a Baltar/Six music vid that examines the unique relationship those two share with clips from the Miniseries through to the "cradle" in the Season one finale.
"Stronger than dirt" was the brainchild of sebaceanbabe who selected the song by Tom McRae. The focus of this music video is Helo/Boomer and their interesting interaction which also takes clips from the Miniseries (see a pattern here?) through to the finale.
"Boom Shak-A-Lak" is my own little comic creation that takes a somewhat sideways look at BSG set to the "Dumb and Dumber" theme. It was a challenge to vid this song as some of the lyrics are not translated or available on the web so I just used my imagination to marry scenes that sounded like the words I thought were the lyrics.
When I have more time I will make a concerted effort to complete the other vids and post them on my site.

I've just discovered another benefit of the internet. Downloadable TV episodes.
I was looking over the list of episodes at Lost-media.com and realized I missed 3 episodes. Not being on broadband I sort of panicked as I've heard of the 300+ MB BitTorrent files of shows which would take me roughly 30 hours to download if I managed to stay awake and the connection was good.
Luckily thanks to a post over at Lost Video Island forums I stumbled upon a dialup friendly alternative at: http://www.tvshows.nu/rubrique.php3?id_rubrique=415 If you go to option #2 (#1 is the humongous BT file) you see the DivX is only about 78 MB for the entire episode. Granted the viewing area and the resolution are pretty poor but if you were dying to know about an episode you've missed and are on narrowband it is a great alternative.
So after only 8 hours of downloading I was able to watch all of "Special" and sadly the high point in this episode for me was when Michael all pissed after phoning the mother of his child and basically being told she has moved on to better prospects hangs up the phone and is crossing a Manhattan avenue (as I was thinking there is no way he can do that without...) and he gets hit by a car. That is so typical of Lost. Just when life sucks and you are trying to figure it out...bam it only gets worse.
I can't wait for next Wednesday to see Hurley's story.

I've just finished my first Lost music vid and have submitted it to Lost Video Island (LVI) for consideration to add to their site. It is a Shannon centered video.
In order to conform to the LVI it had to be less than 10 MB which is why the quality of this is such.
