6. Narnia. Preferably around the time of Mr. Tumnus. Love him.

5. Hogwarts. Preferably not when Harry is around, because I don't need to be put in tons of life-endangering situations. I'm a big coward.

4. Naboo. It’s such a beautiful place, Rachel and I were talking about living there. I would really like that.

3. I’d say the Torchwood Hub, but if I lived there I’d have to live in the vaults, and Weevils scare me. So no. Although… I could live in Jack’s little hole. Okay. Living in the Torchwood Hub sounds like fun. Ianto + Me = BFF!

2. Serenity. Pre-movie era. Don’t have any idea what I’d do on the crew, and I couldn’t afford to just be a passenger, but I don’t care. I’ll learn something. Kasey’s dad says I’ve got good aim, I’ll be a weapon person. Hey, that’s what I can do at Torchwood too! They need a new weapons expert since Suzie kicked it. Twice. So much for me being a coward.

1. The freakin’ TARDIS! Duh! If I lived in the TARDIS, I could go anywhere. Not to mention I could hang out with the Doctor.


Had a really weird Doctor Who dream last night. The Doctor, Rose and I wound up at some thing that looked like a summer camp, but was really some sort of refugee camp and the people who were running it would kill any foreigners who were there for journalist purposes. I wound up stuck in the camp and the people living there integrated me into their facebook friends and groups so that the head people would think I'm one of them and not kill me. Yeah, weird dream.

Friday's fannish5: What are your five favorite redemption stories?

5. Jacob Black (Twilight/New Moon/Eclipse): Not a real redemption story in the classic sense, and it hasn't been finished yet, but I have high hopes for Jacob. He did act like a bit of a douchebag, but he keeps going back and forth between nice guy and idiot. (I blame this more on bad characterization than actual plot though)

4. Jack Harkness (Doctor Who/Torchwood): He starts off as an ex Time Agent and con man, who cares only about himself, money, and getting laid. By the end of DW series 1 he's the last man standing in an impossible fight to protect people. His explanation to the Doctor of his reinvention of Torchwood in... one of the final three episodes of DW series 3 solidified him for me.

3. Boromir (Lord of the Rings): You really can't have a redemption list without Boromir. Come on.

2. Severus Snape (Harry Potter): See my explanation for Boromir. Snape was just... everything I could ask for in a redemptive character.

1. Anakin Skywalker (Star Wars): Hands down. And not just because I just watched all 6 Star Wars movies in 2 days.

I finished my Heath Ledger Tribute Video. I must say I'm quite proud of it.

I decided to make it all happy clips. Well, there are a few exceptions but for the most part. I realized I didn't want this to make me depressed, I wanted it to be uplifting. So there's a common theme here: he's always smiling.

I chose to make it to the song I was listening to when I heard the news of his passing. It's called Childhood Dreams by Nelly Furtado, and it's surprisingly fitting. At least to me.

I think I might just leave it on my lj for now and not put it on youtube or veoh. I like sharing my stuff with people, but this was kinda for me, so I don't know if it'll mean the same thing to other people that it does to me. But I'm looking for opinions on that. If people think I should share it, then I will. It is a nice vid.

I really wanted to have a holiday layout this year, but seeing as how the holiday season is almost over, I don't think I'll be doing that. So I'll just get cracking on my next layout, which will probably be Big Damn Heroines v2. Cause I have a few to add.

I'm very much enjoying making my vids again and not having to worry about homework or tests or papers. Although if I make any more Theresa icons, I'm going to wind up getting her a paid account. Well, maybe if I get enough money for Christmas, I can justify it. ... No, stop it!


Funny story: So I'm getting dressed today, and I'm like "Okay, might as well dress Christmas-y even though I'm not really leaving the house. Let's see, what do I have?" And I discovered I don't own any plain red shirts. I found a white button-down dress shirt I liked, and I wanted a red shirt underneath. But alas, no plain red shirts. So I now have Viktor Krum peeking his head out from under my dress shirt, because he's chilling on the perfect color red shirt. Merry Christmas, Mr. Krum.

I've also got my Christmas toe-socks that are uncomfortable as hell and make my feet quite cold, and my bell earrings that jingle when I shake my head. Which I consider dressed up enough. My mother will no doubt come waltzing in with a blinking Christmas tree on her sweatshirt, because she's that person. And she'll be sporting a Santa hat.


Okay and shameless self-promotion: Last year I wrote A Mutant Christmas Carol in which the crew at Xavier's put on A Christmas Carol. It's sort-of movieverse but mostly incredibly AU. I want to write something like that this year, but I don't know if I'll have the time/inspiration. But that's one of my favorite pieces I've ever done. So yeah, there it is. /pimp

So I, like half of the world, saw Sweeney Todd Friday night. I watched it with a very critical (and not to mention slightly biased) eye, but I'll be totally honest.

EDIT: Okay, apparently I'm not allowed to complain about Gary Oldman being too old to play Sirius, since Alan Rickman is 12 years older than him and the characters are supposed to be the same age. Except Alan Rickman manages to look young enough. Okay, maybe not in his late 30s, but Gary Oldman had that old neck thing going on.

This has nothing to do with Sweeney Todd except it's about Alan Rickman. But I didn't feel like making another another post to share this information.

Ok, really don't have time to be posting this, but I'm gonna do it anyway cause it's funny, and I can't spend every waking moment studying or in class. So there.

I had the WEIRDEST dream last night. Ok, not weirdest. That one I posted before about Voldemort falling in love with me and having the Cullens and the La Push boys help me defend Hogwarts? That was probably the weirdest. But this one was weird because it was so rooted in reality.

So currently in theatrical_muse (also known as Soap Operas for Fandom), somehow or other George and Hermione have managed to form the most random and unplanned relationship I’ve ever seen. Neither I nor Hermione!mun said “Hey, wouldn’t it be great if they got together?” Instead, our muses just ran off together and ignored everything we said. And it turns out, we really like it!

So I spent all of today practicing my song for the fair tomorrow, and in between doing that I made Edward icons for Kasey should she decide to pick him up at TM (hint hint!) and I watched The Covenant.

Let's get one thing straight (giggle), I only watched this movie because Steven Strait is in it, and I adore him. Yes. So I had no clue what this movie was about before I saw it, and now that I've seen it, I'm still not sure I know. But I do know that Steven Strait sounds ridiculously husky and sexy when he just wakes up. Or acts like he just woke up. Whatever. Yum.

So, the movie. Very bad script and acting. Overdramatic and I still don't know some of the characters' names. (Did Tyler say anything? He's the random Covenant boy that wasn't the long haired one, or the blonde one, or Steven Strait. I thought for sure he was going to die since he really didn't exist except to have 4 boys.)

And also, this movie was the most subtextually gay movie I have seen in a VERY long time. I've never seen so much shirtless boy/naked boy-ness. I don't think the swimming plot existed except to give us a group of boys in swimming trunks. With very nice muscles, I'd like to add. And the shower scene? With Reid whipping the boys with his towel and going "Say my name!"? *giggle* He had a nice tushie. And don't get me started on Chase kissing Caleb. Even though that was much more of a "I'm a psychotic bastard serial killer" move than anything else, but come on! Boy kissing! Hot, violent boy kissing! *fans self*

BUT Steven Strait in this movie is my Regulus (and also my Jacob, but that existed before I saw this movie. Leads me to believe he is destined to play any character with the last name of Black). And I'm going to make a trailer for my almost done Regulus fic because the mother in this movie totally works for Mrs. Black. At least, for the purposes of my fic. So now I need suggestions for a 18 year old Sirius. But for far away shots, the long haired Covenant boy will totally work. WOot!



I have a list of songs that I equate to specific portions of the Twilight books, and I don't think I'll make a fanmix, but I may post the songs and the quotes I associate with them on here in the near future. So that's something to look forward to. Kind of.
