Bah. As someone said on Nov 3, we are outnumbered by MORONS! Someone at work created a list with a very weird ambiguous name and subscribed the entire company to it. This list then landed right on time on Monday morning. Since then, life has been crazy and stupid to say the least, but incredibly amusing, I haven't laughed so much for a while. This is believed to be a company where people who have a clue work on cutting edge Internet products. And email is old boring technology. Someone, for the love of god, break out the baseball bats; this gene pool needs cleaning. Lemme put it down:
DO NOT REPLY ALL TO A LIST THAT GOES TO A LOT OF PEOPLE THAT YOU DON'T KNOW!!!!!
That aside, here are is a sampler of some of the funnier replies. I can't give some of the really funny ones, as they might be considered "sensitive". I saw subjects being changed to go past filters! So with all identifying info removed to protect the inno^H^H^H^H offenders, each of these was a seperate email:
- Ok, give us a hint. What is the email list supposed to be ?
- My best guess: This is a case-study in workplace paranoia. Put ~ into a list name, subscribe a bunch of random people, remain silent, and see how freaked out they get. :))
- PLEASE STOP REPLYING TO THIS THREAD.
- I completed the ~ and I'm not doing it again.
- STOP If you want to debate over why you're on this list, get together in URLs or something. The rest of us don't care!
- should we be scared??? I did'nt mean to do it, no really I did'nt... whatever it was...
- All I can say is "I PLEAD THE FIFTH!!!"
