Gah. Enjoying 3 hours of peace before I go back to NOT HAVING A FUCKING LIFE for another week. Someone shoot me, already. Edit. Ah, gotta love KT. Steve Hewitt Slash Appreciation Day ♥So, don't shoot me. Send Beanie over instead. Edit 2. I'd very much like to be somewhere sunny, pleasantly warm, on a comfortable couch, reading books, sipping daikiris, and having naps. Instead... :-/ I might have to start taking Portuguese classes. Edit 3. I really hate it when people can't tell the difference among rushed, mad, and in panic attack mode. I'm not angry. I'm not insane. I'm just really, really busy here. Could you for the love of god give me two minutes till I finish this?

Funny pic, from last hols. Found next to the swimming pool of a reasonably posh hotel. But... ( translation plztnx? )Some of you have seen it already, viz. new old friend marian_vil , who keeps badgering me to make a new post (and who is, incidentally, still chortling manically at Lil Leto's cereal bowl haircut). Here's looking at you, kid. Still waiting for your post a day ;p Hopefully with nummy rugbiers in. Got the scan xoxo, but can't read it at all! Too small. bloodydru's bday on Sun, have started slathering the drummer in frosting baking the stripper cake. We were lucky to get him at all, seeing as crawling_angel only just let him go after eating hers. Random hunk of the day: David Boreanaz, yum. ( feel like a bath yet? )Random quotage, stolen from someone's blog: Quotes - Golf and sex are about the only things you can enjoy without being good at. (Wrong: Music and sex. Who the hell cares about GOLF?)
- I wear black because I'm in mourning for my life
- Idealism is what precedes experience; cynicism is what follows.
- Life is a sexually transmitted disease.
- Life isn't fair. It's just fairer than death, that's all.
- Misery no longer loves company. Nowadays it insists on it.
- My one regret in life is that I am not someone else.
- Nobody will ever win the Battle of the Sexes. There's just too much fraternizing with the enemy.
- Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.
- The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. (Therefore, Teh Random)
- Wars teach us not to love our enemies, but to hate our allies.
Random rec of the day: Jules Verne's Le Tour du monde en 80 jours. (In French) Downloadable for free, and an excellent performance by Damien Genevois, expressive and appealing. Great for us commuting bitches, cos the trip from home to work often does feel like le tour du monde.

Right. Surgery! The Big Dreaded Event has come to pass. I'm still alive. Which is, as they say, proverbially Of The Good. Won't get the anat. path. results till sometime next week, and by then I will have spent the entire length of my much-needed holiday on things like bed-rest and pushing fluids. Which is almost as disgusting as it sounds, and a dreadful waste of a perfectly good holiday, but meh. What can you do. Over and done with, turn the page, new subject! Incidentally, I'm enjoying a trip down Memory Lane, so to speak, with a Buffy-Angel revival. As a matter of fact, a Spike / Xander / Angel revival, in any and all combinations, as anyone who's known me for, oh, a week, will be able to guess. Doyle was wonderful too, aww Doyle. And speaking of Doyles, all hail the marvellous wonder that is The Professionals DVDs. Bodie's perky, exquisitely rounded bum in all its glory, only ever surpassed by 1965 Paul McCartney's. Still looking for a new (for me) Brit band that's actually decent. As in, not mind-numbingly boring; or the miscarried foetus of Oasis and an epileptic fit. Feel free to enlighten me on the subject, all suggestions welcome. But there is such a thing as listening to too much American music, you see, and if I don't get something else soon I might have to start playing Take That to compensate. The horror, the horror. Pet peeve of the day: what on god's sweet Earth makes random internet children believe that other random internet people who've never heard of them care about their standardised fan tattoos? Just how many times can the Bo wings be posted at comms without our collective braincell going kerfpfffffft and dying? Anyway, flist people! Some of you moving, others who want to move, some having babies, others who definitely don't want to, some who travel, holiday-makers and slaves to the wage. What's up with the lovely lot of you? mood: still alive and kicking, mofos! |

hurra, n. molesworth + the grate hary potter! cheers cheers cheers, im in luv: http://www.alice.dryden.co.uk/ho_for_hog gwarts.htm Other than, I'm being pwned by Alexander fiction, can't get enough. And Lappy's got a virus, it seems. Re: work, I keep jumping out of the pan only to drop onto greater and hotter fires, it seems. Bah humbug. I do get a nice paycheck soon though, which will allow me to buy that gorg fake fur coat I saw on Fri. Still it doesn't make up for not being at home all fkkn day. Why don't I have any Molesworth icons, anyway? Must rectify icon situation asap. Very important: Livejournal still refuses to send me comment notifications, so I only depend on my memory to follow up on comments. (My memory sucks, as any fule kno.) Is it only me, or is this happening to any of you as well?

Hello lovelies ;) So, remember when I mentioned that I'd have to leave a poster of my Cheshire cat on the dungeon walls so you'd remember who I was? *g* Anyway, I'm fine, if sleep-deprived. I missed Sounds Like Slash, shame. Also, all I get on my inbox is endless spam from the Brewitt list, cos LJ has apparently stopped sending me comment notifications, the twat. If you've replied to a post or comment of mine in the past weeks, I've most probably missed it. Sorry about that :( Do tell me where, if you remember. Off to contemplate the wonders of muscled male thighs and possibly have a sandwich or something --Nadia made a food post and it's made me hungryyyy. Got a new Colin Farrell film to watch later, too. He's apparently gay in it. Yum. Any news?

First of all, Second, happy birthday to me. Care for some cake? Hours upon hours in the kitchen, hah! Third, and courtesy of Google Images' mysterious ways algorithms, Jared Leto having his cake and eating it, too: ( A bit mad )Been having a grand old time and not feeling old and depressed, which doesn't happen all that often on my b-days. Been coddled and pampered as KT was saying earlier, purr --that is probably why. This year I decided I didn't want to clean, didn't want to cook, didn't want to have people over, didn't want to surrender to life inertia, and generally didn't want to do any work. I went on strike, I picketed. I pouted and stomped my foot until I got my way --note to self: do that more often. I got taken to a v. fancy restaurant and was a totally glamourous goddess all evening. Sans feather boa. Incidentally, Best Friend #1 has sent more hunk pics (and vids), in case anyone is interested. Can't think of anything else worth telling. Shall watch 300 later --sweaty fighting men are inspirational. Alala, &c. mood: loved |

Watched Requiem for a Dream last night and it tore my spiritual insides apart. Followed it up with my new Gigi dvd (finally!), and that's when I ended up breaking down completely. Thank you, universe, thank you, progesterone. Anyway, talulla_rose was right, once again. Found an unexpected connection among much-fancied men. Look: ( clicky )Might do a meme about shoes, with pics. Kate, send me the infooooo. [/random] I have Zodiac for tonight, better be good. At least pretty Jakey is always cheering. And speaking of, I'm oddly Xmassy this year. Put up the lights along the banisters and decorated a tree. Ok, not a tree, but one of my tall indoor plants. Shiny and colourful. Weird, considering I don't celebrate and normally I detest that kind of thing O_o

Gah. I've made the monumental mistake of sampling Acqua di Gio on my own wrist, and I can't get rid of it. Hate. I'm soaked in old matron smell --I can't even get my hand anywhere near my face *retch*. The new CK is quite lovely though. Shall have a very boring, albeit very French, weekend. Post pretty things? Polly's got a meme going, might do that at some point. Is anybody planning anything fun for Molkoday? I won't bake a cake, certainly. Might buy one though, cos, yum. I'd like the ability to switch off my brain. Wouldn't that be just nifty. Oh! Welcome new friends, talulla_rose and greeun ! ♥ Edit. Fuck, ah fuck. Look: 30 Seconds to Mars (album) From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia [...] The lyrics of the hidden track, "The Struggle", were taken from Sun Tzu's The Art of War. [...]:-O!! That's it, that's the ultimate it. I've got my new band. mood: hungry |

Hmm. Well, first of all, yesterday I finally realised the missing reason why I've been so utterly fucked up for the last few days: I've been running rather a high temperature. I thought it was just stress &c, but I must have a bug somewhere as well. Ain't life fun. I realised this after I made the monumental mistake of going for a walk with the excuse of renting a dvd; I wanted some air and exercise. We did about 3km in all and when we were back I stood in the kitchen and went, '... You know what? I think I'm about to topple over.' So I've been more or less out of it since yesterday, though now I feel better thanks to Ms Aspirin... loads of them; so I can coherently sit in front of the puter for a bit. And the real reason I'm posting is because we rented La Môme and Alexander. Yes, it's from 2004. Yes, I'd never seen it. Yes, because I steadfastly refused to do so, on principle. Yes, I was almost right. I remember that there was some Alexander discussion on one of Kate's posts, so I'm writing out my impressions ( behind the cut )

I'm bored and in the mood for fic but can't quite find anything fitting. Rec me something good? Options: ~Cebo pre-Lalalala. ~HP without book 7 spoilers, slash, hopefully not H/Dr. ~Buffy slash! Does anyone remember it? ~Alex/Heph (or even /Bagoas) ~Legolas/Gimli =D Honestly, they're totally an item. Not in the films though, urk. Or anything you've got to throw at me, really. I'm easy. Must be sexy and happy though, nothing tragic. LOL, random. I remember a loooong time ago I read a Korn/Cebo fic on fanfiction.net (does it even exist anymore?). It had Molksy artfully seducing Head and then also Munky... or was it Jon? I barely knew who Molks was at the time, though I did like the Bo. The fic was insanely random, absolutely disturbing and rather fun. Good times XD Edit. This is fun XD (it's a parody of the Alexander film) Edit 2. If there is one thing that shits me, is to read "limpid pools of desire" in the middle of pRon. *watches own metaphorical cock go soft*

If you sit by the river long enough, you will see the body of your enemy float by. You'll have a miserable time until then, though. Not to mention, wet. My inbox is still a scary corner. However, I haven't been able to resist KT's attachment, which is lovely and cheered me up immensely ♥ A reply is forthcoming. To everyone who's left comments: lots of love and I'm replying (slowly). Weekdays are difficult. The temptation to waste these few alloted internet minutes in checking out Teh Slash is hard to resist, you'll understand ;) ♥ P.S. I haven't been too coherent of late, verbally I mean. Fried brain. So, you might have to read... somewhat creatively, so to speak.

Insanely busy, and I owe everyone and their mother an email. Sowwee :-/ Random link: Pokemon Shakespeare. Proper crack. Check out Hamlet's emo haircut. That's a brilliant community, btw. Not as busy as I'd like though. Check out the macros (see Gabs? I've learnt!) in the previous post, too. And Shakeskitties! Need fun. Got any? (Fun that doesn't involve hurting other people or witnessing it while LOLling from the sidelines, that is --as some acquaintances seem to enjoy doing).

Passionate kiss like spider's web, will soon lead to undoing of flies. Man who stands on toilet, high on pot. Woman who brings husband breakfast in bed liable to get tit bit. Woman who cooks rice and peas in same pot very unsanitary. Man who walks through turnstile sideways going to Bangkok.

Gods I'm in PAIN. Real, honest to Molks pain. After a new broadband frustration (don't even ask --it turns out my block hasn't been rewired yet because it's too close to the next neighbourhood. Insane) , I've decided to have the puter wiped clean and reformatted, see if that improves matters any. Problem is, before I send it over, I need to back up and delete all my files. All my Placebo files. All my Indochine files. All my pictures. Years worth of downloads. Dial-up downloads. Painstakingly slow dial-up downloads. Not that the bulk of the collection isn't on cds and dvds already, but still. All of it, I have to delete all of it. It HURTS. It fucking HURTS. I'm not sure I can do this. What if the backups fail, somehow?? Someone please tell me you'll send me dvd copies of your collections if that happens. I can't bear the thought.
