Making changes
I went through tonight and deleted several people who had already deleted me.... some who never respond to anything in my journal or even to anything that I write in theirs.... a few who never update... There are no hard feeling here... just a pulling in of the edges. |

You can read the story about Lola... but I want to give her a bit of a testimonial. Lola has been coming to see us for about a year. The boys adore her. She has been really instrumental in getting the boys to read better. Because of her, many boys who would not read aloud now do. She isn't judgmental and they feel as if they can read to her and not feel stupid. The boys love to sit and hug her. She does a lot of tricks for her treats... and has taught the boys a lot about patience. Personally, I love this dog. She is sweet and loving despite the rotten start she had to life.

Need some help
Back around the late 80s/early 90s there was a film where the opening credits had a soundtrack using some young girls chanting as they jumped rope. Does anyone remember what movie that was??? It was not Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. That I know for sure. |

Curiosity... after current dealings with my own siblings
I am currently looking at some issues with students.. as well as my own family... I would love to have info from you.... I am going to make this public... so if you want to point others to this poll, I would appreciate all feedback. I have removed some people from my access list. I know no one wants to hear... or believes... it isn't you, it's me... but in this case it is a fact. Right now I am struggling through my own stuff... and am having a hard time dealing with some reactions. My best wishes to all. |

Truly.. I am not spamming the list
Recently, a large corporation hired several cannibals to increase their diversity, "You are all part of our team now," said the Human Resources rep during the welcoming briefing. "You get all the usual benefits and you can go to the cafeteria for something to eat, but please don't eat any employees." The cannibals promised they would not. Four weeks later their boss remarked, "You'r e all working very hard and I'm satisfied with your work. We have noticed a marked increase in the whole company's performance. However, one of our secretaries has disappeared. Do any of you know what happened to her?" The cannibals all shook their heads, "No." After the boss had left, the leader of the cannibals said to the others, "Which one of you idiots ate the secretary?" A hand rose hesitantly. "You fool!" the leader continued. "For four weeks we've been eating managers and no one noticed anything. But NOOOooo, you had to go and eat someone who actually does something. I just found this incredibly funny. |

I am currently on overload. I thought I had gotten over my last bout well enough... and came off of hibernate easily. I can see I am not.. and have not.. so I go back into winter hibernation. |

Not necessarily in order... our days were full and fun. Despite living in a motel that was a joint motel/gun/ammunition shop/pawn shop.... we had a reasonable time with living. It was clean... a bit shop worn, but clean. We got up Sunday morning... and went over to the house of fixnwrtr... and yes.. we were 20 minutes early. Sue me!!! I can't help but be early ... I can't help it that I warned her and she took me at my word that we would be there at 9... not at 8:40. ( pictures ahoy ) We went to Garden of the Gods.. but that deserves a post of its own. |

Monday was my day for maintenance. I went for an oil change. It was great. I stayed in the car... and they changed it with me not having to lift a finger. While sitting there doing nothing.. I decided that I needed to practice a little with my camera... ( new cameras rule ) |

I have come to the sad conclusion that due to my life being as stressed as it is right now.. I have to do some cutting from my list for a bit. I hope you are not offended if I drop you... it is nothing personal. I enjoy reading all of you, but many of you have no interaction with me at all.. so I am doing some dropping. Last fall... we took a little trip back to my grandmother's farm. I had spent a great deal of my childhood there. I found the pictures again today and thought that now I know how.. I should share some of the amazing cloud pictures I took that day. ( More to see for those who care to look )

Does anyone know what happened to artmomz? one minute.. this morning.. she was here.. now she is deleted.I have been meaning to say something about Christmas cards.... this has been my most awesome year ever. I am finishing the last one to send out... but this has been an anomaly. Normally, you send cards out and if the person didn't have your new address..they would send you a card.. and you would have acknowledgement that they got it. Or if you go see Aunt Agnes and there it is displayed on the mantle.. or hung on a door frame. But this year, with all of you who allowed me to send you a card...have been letting me know you received them... and I sit here and preen myself...feeling so wonderful.. and all because of you. Then I looked at how terrible I have been in return. So without further ado.. I need to thank those who have sent cards as well... Belatedly... I did not expect a lot of cards back.. that was not my purpose in sending them... but I appreciate them so much. Thank you... and thank you for the recognition to all of you who have let me know. *hugs* all around. |

Some people I know relatively well. I read your fic, or we have something else in common and we chat occasionally. Some of you I hardly know at all. Perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But you friended me and I thank you. But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself. Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's so and so...she likes bad commercials." I'd love it if every single person who friended me would do this. Yes, even you people who I know really well. Then post this in your own journal. |

Reading a journal entry from zanzara brought some thoughts that have been lurking in the back of my mind to the forefront. I am curious.. not only about those who do read me but about this question in general. When do you make entries in LJ? I know that for myself, I don't always have time during the day.. in fact, seldom. Most of my daytime is either trying to get a quick read or make some comments. Evenings during the week get occasional entries... but weekends are more of my prime time to make entries. However, I have noticed that many of you do not journal much during the weekends... (I think you have lives). So, I am going to leave this entry public so that you can answer and then have others answer this poll.
