So, I start college tomorrow. I am nervous and excited at the same time. On the bright side college schedules are so much better than high school. Just the variety alone is exiting, I must admit. :D

The reason I'm nervous is, of course, the new environment and all. Also, I'm just...not sure what to expect. =/ I keep thinking that I don't feel old enough to be there. orz I'm almost 18! C'mon, self, it's not that scary! >| There's also the fact that, even though a lot of people from my high school are going to this college, I'm not sure I'm going to find anyone to get along with. :<

A bit of a tangent, but, I just wanted to pimp the site Etsy! It's the site I bought my schoolbag at and where I just recently bought a purse and some soap. :D It's a lovely site where people sell things they've made themselves. You can find all sorts of cool things there. :3

ETA: I have also spent all day reading an epic HP Harry/Draco fic. xD What can I say? I like my comforts. :P

So, I've totally been back since Saturday, but have been too lazy to tell you guys. orz I actually had a pretty good time. Besides river rafting, we did horseback riding and a couple of rounds of peewee golf, all of which were fun. :D Dinners with the family were still awkward, but that's nothing new so whatever. *shrug*

It's great to be home, though. I was sharing a room with my brother and his friend - there were 4 twin beds in the room - and the beds were really uncomfortable to sleep on. We had some laughs, however, making fun of TV shows together. :P

Apparently, I am kind of scatterbrained since I did not mention this when I made my last post. OH, WELL. I am going on another vacation of sorts from July 26th to Aug. 3rd. Me and my family are going up to Lake Tahoe, specifically Tahoe Vista. Now, there are a couple of reasons why I am not very excited for this trip.

1)I don't like traveling

2)We go up to Tahoe ever summer and I'm getting tired of it

3)The only fun thing in Tahoe is river rafting and we only do that once

4)Most of my extended family is going to be there. This trip is all about my Dad's side of the family getting together. All my relatives are very nice, but I just don't enjoy spending time with them. I mean, it's not that I don't like them, but they are pretty much strangers to me. And I'm very shy and awkward around strangers, so these family get-togethers are hard on me socially. :<

Thankfully, my Dad bought a laptop to bring with us, so I will have internet access when I'm there. This means I will not be completely bored out of my skull. :DD

P.S. My icon is totally irrelevant but it cheers me up, so I'm using it. :B

I'm having a pretty uneventful week so far. =/ My brother is on a cruise with a friend so at least I get the house to myself during the day. Been re-watching some episodes of MST3K and just generally doing nothing. :> Finally got some pictures of Emma with her new eyes, though. :]

I had a bit of an adventure tonight. Went to a drive-in movie with my friend, her boyfriend, and my brother. Me and my brother were in one car, my friend and her boyfriend in another. We watched Hellboy II and Wall-E back-to-back, starting at 8:55pm. I don't know if all drive-in movies work this way, but for this place, you listen to the audio by tuning into a specified radio station. Which, of course, means leaving your car on. See where I'm going here?

Anyway, the second movie finishes up, it's about 1:00am and I try to start my car back up to leave. "Try" being the operative word here. My battery is apparently dead. I call my Dad who says he'll head down with a jumper cable. Luckily, my friend has not left, yet, so me and my brother don't have to wait in an empty, dark parking lot waiting for my Dad. My Dad gets there, jumps my car and I finally get home at 2:00am. .___.

Tomorrow I'll be getting a new battery. I'm usually my brother's ride to football practice on Monday's, so he's going to have to skip it tomorrow. He's so happy disappointed. :P

Swan Lake: The Great Chinese State Circus

Just a quick entry because I thought this was just amazing and I wanted to share. :B It's a video, btw.

So, I'll start off my picture posts with an entry about the Columbia Ice Field. We stopped here on the way to Jasper from Lake Loise. It's about an hour and thirty minutes away from either place. You take a special vehicle to the icefield and they let you walk around for about 20 minutes. There are little streams cutting through the ice that you can drink from. The water is, of course, VERY COLD. I had to use my hand to drink from it, after which my hand spent the rest of its time in my pocket. Too. Cold. D:

Well, I actually got in last night, but I was kind of worn out. Canada was gorgeous and I had a lot of fun along the way, but there was way too much traveling involved. D: Getting home was the worst part. We took a bus, then a ferry, then a bus again and then a plane, then BART and, finally, a car. Got back at 8:30pm after starting the trip home at 8:00am. x___x

I'll be making some picture posts of the trip later, since I still have to sort through the pictures, figure out where they were taken, delete blurry ones, etc.

So, I'm going on vacation to Canada tomorrow. I'm really not sure what to expect since my parents handled all the details, but it should be fun. :D We're going to go on this train tour of Canada, stopping at different cities to site-see and spend the night.

I will have limited internet access(;~;), which is extremely annoying because 1)I'm going to miss so many interesting entries, I just know it and 2) my registration date for DVC is during the trip. This means I'm going to have to bring all my school information with me and figure out my schedule there. Hopefully, I'll be around a computer at the time and not on a train. Anyway, I'm getting home on July 8th, so I'll see you all then! 8]

I totally forgot to make an entry about this! o____o I graduated on Friday! No more high school for me! College, here I come!! :DD I am actually really excited. Though, the first of school is actually on my birthday. -___-
