More Cowbell! thanks a lot, Ben!
It all started when I had to write a 'reaper' script to kill runaway processes - Don't Fear the Reaper. cowbell. stuck in my head.
Then a couple days later he strikes again: "Burning Love" he says... again I've got cowbells running through my head all day.
And today he walks into my cube and screams "Time!... you know, the song with the cowbell". That's the third time, damnit. Time has come today, indeed. |

not dead, but sick after being sick for 2 months, it finally got to the point that I couldn't breathe. thought I'd go to the doctor. after much freaking out, nearly passing out, xrays, EKGs, etc etc they think I have bronchitis. guess I won't be doing much of anything for a while. |

Robert Kaplan @ UW Bookstore Robert Kaplan was in town again, touring to support his new book. Once again he eschewed a reading for an insightful essay on where he's been and what he's learned followed by a hit-and-miss q&a. I've learned more from this guy and the readings he recommends than almost anyone else I've encountered in my life. |
