This morning I went to yoga. All the yoga classes at the YMCA tend to be the same type. I don't know much about yoga but they are all ones that emphasize getting into a series of positions fairly quickly, like they have a thing called sun salutations where you get into about six positions within a minute or two. I don't like this. For one thing, it bothers my knees. But mostly I never feel like I have gotten any of the positions right and I'm always struggling to keep up. So I'm looking for some other classes that emphasize getting into one position at a time and doing it well. I think I will take a few yoga classes privately and then mostly stick to pilates at the Y.
I went to a few open houses today that were in my neighborhood. The houses were only a few blocks apart but were very different. The first one was 59k. It was a 3 bedroom, 1 bath on a pretty busy street. It was kind of dirty inside, including a bunch of chunks of burnt wood or something in the upstairs hallway. I couldn't believe they didn't spent 30 seconds with a dustbuster or broom before the open house.
The other house was very nice, and a bit of an oddity. It was much more like houses you see in California than the ones in Syracuse. It was 109k and three bedrooms one and a half baths. It was set into a slight hill and had a garage on the bottom story. Next to the garage was a family room and then the usual cellar stuff was in a small room. Most Syracuse houses have a seperate garage, frequently in the back of the house. It had a loft style hallway, that is the hallway to the bedrooms upstairs was open to the living room. The washer and dryer were in a small closet off the upstairs hallway. I would love that! I don't even do much laundry but it's hard to have it in the basement and my dresser is two stories up!
The ceilings were wood, which I liked. It had a deck and a great backyard, not too big or small and nicely fenced. I would love to live there if it was in Tipp Hill. I like Eastwood but it's not as fun as Tipp Hill and it's further from Downtown where Dave works and where I hope to get a job when we come back.

These are two hair ornaments I made by gluing rhinestones from a too small dollar store bracelet onto plain hair clips. They came out really nice. I'm enjoying having bangs and shoulder length hair. I can put it into so many different styles. I'm planning on making myself a lot more hair clips.
