Looks like there were more paper thingies to make into brushes, this batch courtesy of PSP's Scrapbooking Edition #3. I actually don't do scrapbooking; I bought a copy just for the textures.

OMG, a Guts x Caska icon *_* Can I steal that to use?
OTOH, I'm also kind of dreading what will happen when Casca gets her memory back. Mainly because I have a feeling Miura will cheerfully pour on the buckets of pain and angst. ;)
and um also snagged a few of your other brush packs... i just kind of forgot to mention that in the threads.
*points to icon* used one of your brushes(with credit) there. by clicking on the base a few times with orange colour and then just a couple with white... and then made it transparent.
I actually do that a lot now when using your brushes, though helps if the brush part is slightly 'blurred'...
Took the image pack...will credit.
There's also a really nice list of tutorials over at the_indy that you might want to check out.
The best way to learn is just to play around with layers and various filters and opacities, colors, and of the eraser tool.
I'll do a brief tutorial for the brushes I just posted today (probably not until tonight) and maybe that'll help a little.
Taking,crediting too.
The thing with my brushes is that very few of them are my original work. For various projects in the past, I've downloaded lots of texture, border, grunge, and collage images from sites like Istockphoto.com and Stock.Xchng, and even some older stuff from Getty Images and FreeFoto. The most recent batch of papercuts came from a bunch of scrapbooking images I bought at the JASCS/Correl site.
So I start with images created by people who are very good at what they do, which probably helps a lot. :) The other thing to keep in mind is that people who make icons need a large enough space to put their images and text so I try to align the busier elements to just one area of the brush. I also lighten up darker images before making them into brushes.
And it's just trial and error. Sometimes what I think will make a good brush ends up not working as well as I thought it would. It helps to just start playing around with things. I've had PSP 7 for about two years and I think I've figured out only about half of its features. :x
I have saved and will credit when I use, thank you.
