Maybe I'll post again one of these days, I've been looking at an empty post box for awhile now. This deserved a post though.

The world is flooding up around me. I think I'm safe but if it's gonna get as bad as they're saying, who knows. There is a flood zone not too far from me, so I figure it's only a matter of time before they start talking about my neck of the woods. Just not what I need right now...money is tight already and I can't even imagine dealing with any more problems with this dumb house. Kyle is still living in Coralville so if the flooding gets much worse, I wont see him until the water comes back down, since the interstate will probably close. Awesome.

I'm looking at pictures on one of the newspaper sites here in town and seeing flooding on the roads that I travel to get to work. I'm not sure how I'm gonna get there today, guess I'd better get ready so I can find an alternate route.

Not a good week to start a diet, I don't think. Gotta be strong though.

What a beautiful weekend. I even ended up with my first sunburn of the year, sat out on my parents deck working on crossword puzzles and discussing wedding crap and got a little pink on my left arm. Feels pretty good.

New Jason Mraz cd...love hearing new music from him (or new versions, I guess). I didn't love it all the first listen but it's growing on me. I haven't been following him like I should, so I feel a little bad. I miss seeing him live very much. It's been too long.

We're currently shooting for Memorial Day weekend 2009 for the wedding. Waiting to get conformation on the date, should know more by the end of the week. Trying really hard to find a good balance between casual/frugal and cheap/trashy. My parents let us know this weekend that they are gonna try to help with most of it, which is awesome on their part, because Kyle and I have been stressing a bit on the money aspect. It'll work out though, I'm sure of it.

Still no ring. They are making me a new one since they couldn't get the stones to stay tight. Considering the ring wasn't even a month old yet, I'm glad they offered to make a new one instead of me having to get pissy. They've taken good care of us, except for the length of time it's taking to get the ring back. The place we bought it from (Rogers Jewelers) just got bought out by a bigger company and so everything is still getting situated. Kind of hoping for some compensation for all the delays, but really I'll just be happy to have my sparkle back.

I'm planning on making a more in depth wedding post later this week. Maybe I'll filter, maybe I'll just put it behind a cut. Let me know if you're interested in reading it, I'll add you if I end up making a filter.

I've gotta go work on some dinner. Brats and morel mushrooms. YUM YUM YUM.

I keep opening up this page and not knowing what to write. I have no idea what people even want to know anymore.

Life is good. The weather is finally warming up, hopefully bringing my mood up with it. Not that I've been unhappy, just lazy and tired and blah.

Trying to decide if I want to go back to school or not. I'm interested in going to PA school but I need 8 or 9 classes in order to even apply to the program, and they are all biology and chemistry classes, YUCK! Lots of work, I can't decide if I've got the drive to do it. Lots of money too, but it'd be worth it in the long run. I wish I would have started this a while back instead of doing my bachelors degree. Oh well.

I have intentions of losing weight but you know how that goes. I'm hoping the nice weather will kick start that too.

Although I knew this would be the case, I've figured out for sure that wedding planning is not my thing. Neither Kyle or I want a big fancy wedding, we want to keep it simple but pretty and have a good time. Even trying to do that isn't cheap. We don't have a lot of money and neither do our families, so we're waiting until September 09 to get married so we can put away some cash and give us some time to plan and search for the right deals and such.

I still haven't taken any pictures of the ring. I actually had to have the store send it back to get fixed, damn thing. I hated having to give it back so soon but I didn't want to make it worse. It had a crack where they resized it, the soldering didn't hold for whatever reason. But, for fun, ( heres a pic of us the night we got engaged... )

We're headed to Chicago this coming weekend for some time away and some Cubs games. I'm excited to just go have some fun.

Alright, I'm done boring you. Want to know more, please ask. I'll probably keep the wedding planning out of here for the most part because I really don't want to bore anyone. Maybe when it gets closer and we start making some solid plans I'll make some filtered posts, if anyone wants to read. =) I'll probably need the outlet for my stress!!!

Also, I was busy the rest of the weekend after we got engaged and had my birthday and everything...thanks so much for all the congrats and well wishes on my engagement post. It means a lot that you guys are still reading.

So, I turn 26 tomorrow. Last night I went out for dinner with some friends and family. Kyle, the fantastic boyfriend, surprised me by going down on one knee...this little girly is engaged! =) No plans or anything, although we're talking maybe next fall. No rush, especially since we haven't been dating too terribly long (just over 9 months). We've got all kinds of time.

Overall, 26 doesn't seem like it'll be too bad.

Just thought I should let some of my favorite people know. =)

For whatever reason, I feel inclined to post...Maybe it was the gifts, maybe the poke or two (THANKS for those, by the way. Lots and lots and lots of love to those of you...you know who you are). Maybe the handful of beers I had tonight. Who knows why.

Hi. How have you been?

Life is good.

Still dating fantastic boyfriend. Things have become serious but still somewhat relaxed, for my sake. He's great because he realizes that I'm crazy when it comes to the serious stuff and he continues to stick around. His name is Kyle and he's so so good for me. Lots of laughter and good times. Couldn't really ask for more. I hope for it to continue, but because of the crazy, I worry that this is as good as it gets. I could go on and on about my issues but I'm doing my best to live in the moment and not worry. He's a great guy and I really am lucky to have him around. He's gone for V day because of work but eh. Lame holiday anyway.

I went out with some friends from work tonight and really enjoyed the company for the first time in like 6 months. I've really felt like an outsider at work lately, lots of frustration and the feeling of being overlooked constantly. Tonight, although I felt OLD AS HELL being almost 26, I had a lot of fun.

I've been keeping up with LJ almost daily, but tell me how you've been doing. I miss everyone, even if my updating skills SUUUUUUUUUUCK. I really have no feelings towards any fandom that is popular on my friends list, other than loving The Office and Scrubs and waiting for both to come back on. I don't have much time for anything else!! =)

That's all I can think of to ramble about at 430 am. Anything you want to know?

Happy Birthday to me. I'm 25.

I am in search of a digital camera. For some reason, I don't own one.

I want it to be small-ish. I can't stand a clunky camera, even though I know I'm sacrificing picture quality.

It needs to be cheap-ish. Again, I realize I sacrifice quality here, but I don't have a ton of money to blow. I haven't done much in the way of research, but I think I'm gonna say under $250, and that'd have to be a killer deal for me to spend that much.

I've seen some that come in colors. This isn't a necessity, but it would be nice to be able to distinguish mine from a handful of others if they get mixed up...you know how that goes, hand off a bunch of cameras for a group picture and then have to search to find yours again. =)

I'd appreciate any help you can give me, especially links and/or reviews.

What a great game today. I'm very sunburnt, very tired and have a very sore throat. These Hawkeyes are set on me not having a voice for the next few months, I believe.

Went out last night for some drinks with Sara, we had so much fun. Met a guy, he was nice and we had fun with him and his friends. We'll see. =)

I'm gonna go finish watching Sportscenter and then hopefully get some sleep.

I need some help.

I need to interview someone from a different religion. I'm not exactly religious, so as far as I can tell, I can interview just about anyone who has a strong hold on their personal faith. Is there anyone out there who would be willing to let me interivew them? Or, do you have a friend who is practicing in a minority religion who I could get in contact with? Assuming cozycloudabove is gonna help me out, she's gonna be my Jewish interview, but I still need one more, of a different faith.

I need to write a 500 word paper on my interview and my feelings about the religion after talking to the person. So, it's very straight-forward and should be quick and painless. I should be able to do it through email.

I'd appreciate any help. Thanks!!

Iwebema was back. Albert Young continues to be my hero (21 21 21 21). Drew Tate was out and made sad faces. Calvin MF Davis missed a catch and I was mad at him but I'd still do him.
