Well labrat2 had decided that I needed a wedding present. (She didn't get one for me, while I got her one of these) Apparently it has been bugging her ever since.

So our first anniversary is coming up (April 3rd if you too want to get a present) and my birthday a couple weeks later. So she decided to get a combined present- a new Canon G6 camera! Now keep in mind if you have seen any of my photos (some are here ) I am using a Canon G1 that I purchased in 2001. Big difference between a 3.1 megapixel and 7.1 MP.

Now I like the Canon EOS D10 and D20 slr types, but for the money (and the resolution) you have to like the G6. Plus it has portability with the high end features (lots of user settings- this is not a point and shoot) and of course the best rated images.

Of course I had to pretend to be mad at her, blowing all that money, I would have kept using my G1 until the CMOS sensor finally died. Well, it does have about 200 marginal pixels already, so it is getting there. Don't tell anyone, it's going on ebay.
