Friends Only Mostly

My mood's up, it's down, it's weird. If I'm really happy during the day, I kinda crash mentally at night. It's really pretty annoying. Lol.

Scott will be back in 9 days! It's exciting. I only have contact with him by phone until the 8th when he goes to his aunt's... Oh well. At least I have a way to get in contact with him. I'm going to buy some Skype Out credit so I can call through there. I've called on my phone too much this past month, Mom won't be too thrilled about how much it was. Lol.

It's funny, updating LJ always makes me feel just a little bit better.

Godori on Neopets is pretty fun. Even though I don't understand it 100%. Lol.
I've been playing Neopets again lately just because I have nothing better else to do most of the time. :P I don't like how there's stuff you have to pay for on the site now... Oh well. The games are fun.

I've been doing the Pimsleur's Hebrew I lessons, one a day. I really like them because I feel like I learn a lot in that half hour. Lol.

VideoJug is awesome. :P I personally like "How to be a perfect girlfriend" and "How to marry Prince William." Lol.

I've been feeling stomach sick for 3 days straight, everything I manage to make myself eat just makes me ill. It sucks!

But past that, what have I done lately?

+ Applied for a job where my friend Lenard works; another phone job, but it's a phone job about computer problems that pays $10/hr. THAT, my friends, I can deal with.
+Officially got an A in Social Informatics! (Heck yeah!)
+Officially got a B+ in Management! (Fuck yeah!)
-Watched "I Am Legend" and it SUCKED. Sucked sucked sucked. If I had actually gone to a theatre and paid to see it, I wouldn't have been happy.
+Gave my two weeks notice at RU-info. (Woo~)
+Ended a feud between my cousin and her ex-bf.
+Working on a new personal site, using XHTML and being completely standards compliant. Surprisingly easy to make the change from HTML to XHTML,
+Decided against going on the Germany seminar through the Jewish Studies Department.

Why did I decide against the two-week Germany seminar? A few reasons. One, it's expensive, and I'm not so sure we could really afford it. It only gives two credits, and I really need 3 for it to be any benefit to me. Additionally, when talking to Scott, I realized some parts might affect me too much. Especially the concentration camp visits. The problems? The two camps to go to were Flossenberg and Dachau. Dachau is where possible family members were sent. And I'd take this stuff badly on my own, so it isn't the best idea.


Time to study and make some lunch, hopefully the food won't make me ill. --;

Since it's finals, I've had some free days... I don't have an exam until Weds (and then my only other one is Friday), so I'm like... I have nothing to do! I've been so happy. Lol.

However, this also means I haven't a clue what to do with myself. :P And I accidentally wiped out my nice LJ layout (--;) but... Oh well. I thought about getting a paid account again, but I'm unsure about giving LJ money again, as I didn't want to give SixApart my money because of the fiascoes this year, and I don't know how this new company that now owns LJ is. So, I upgraded to a Plus account, and did some ad blocking. Not having to make my own layout is so freeing; I'm going to make some new icons too, since I have some slots now. I miss my 40 more slots I'd get with paying, but if the new company shows themselves to be good, then I'll get them again when I feel comfortable giving them my money.

I would just like to say to anyone that likes Streetlight Manifesto, that the new album is awesome. If you don't like Streetlight Manifesto, you suck. If you haven't tried Streetlight Manifesto, it is your duty to go listen to them somewhere RIGHT NOW. Shoo. Go.

Not much else to say... Except I've been cooking lately. The other night, I made Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo, with my roommate Tiara's help. It was AWESOME. I never made the sauce so well before. Lol. This morning, I made scrambled eggs for myself, which I had never made before either. Equally awesome. I'm half considering making a repository for recipes I've used successfully so I can find them later. Lol.

Let's see, what else... Oh yeah, no classes at Hillel until the spring. :( Oh well. I also still need to quit my job... Will need to send out a note Monday or Tuesday. And I've gotten Maple Story to work again, for now, so that's good. And... that's it. Probably going to go make some icons now.

I hate it when it's sleeting outside, and you can hear it on your window pretty loudly. -.-
I have a party to go to later, but if this weather keeps up.... Might be a no show. Man, I'm always skipping parties. Lol. I'm just a little afraid of ice; my complex freezes over SO BADLY.

So I don't have class today because of a rain day. What's a rain day? It's like a snow day. But with rain. The Raritan River flooded some.. 7 feet, and over the highway, so they thankfully decided to not have class. Wee~

A syndicated radio host, Don Imus, said some really nasty things about our women's basketball team, namely calling them "nappy-headed hos". So we have lots of media and stuff around campus lately.. yeah.

If you go to this page, about a minute into the top clip (MSNBC pulls the plug on Don Imus' show), where they show a clip of some students walking, and then they show a clip of a girl speaking, and then a guy.. well, the girl is me. :P The reporter interviewed me and my Big from Pi Rho (Sreya! <3), but I guess just I got on. Ah well. They had technical difficulties with Sreya so maybe it didn't even get taped. The reporter was really nice though, we talked to her a bit when the guy was messing with the camera.
Personally, I like the chant from the rally later on in the clip, "I am not a ho, Imus must go" is pretty catchy and amusing. They can say "ho" on television now apparently. lmao. But yeah, it's a little exciting. lol.


Unrelated, but my IT paper is done! A little later than I wanted to have it done by, but I think it came out pretty damn well. At one point, it all came together in my mind, and I related it very well to Battlestar Galactica. XD Hopefully my teacher will like it.

Now just have to get through Thursday, and.. yeah. :D

How horrible is it that I want to get this done?

Haven't updated in a while. Whoops!
Spring break is nearly over; I head back to school tomorrow morning. It's been mainly uneventful. Relaxing and seeing some people and yeah. Today I'm doing laundry, and in a little while I'm going to go over my Korean work and stuff, make sure everything that might be due tomorrow is done. Also study some, 선생님 made our midterm Wednesday. Boo~

So my mom asked me earlier this week if i wanted a haircut. I said no.. then I thought about why. I mean, my hair is quite long, it's more than halfway down my back when wet.

Then of course I realize.. ( even geeky people have idols too. )

I'm silly. lol

My disabled gerbil, JoonKi, died the other day, Mom just told me.. T_T
Poor little JoonKi. He was so cute, his tan fur and little twisted foot.. poor little thing.
It's odd, I changed my phone wallpaper to a picture I took of him Thursday morning; he died Wednesday night, and noone told me until now.
