Finally got World of Warcraft back after a five month break, kinda an early xmas pressy...

Being playing almost solidly since thursday... but sometimes even I have to sleep and so do our elves...

Yep two weeks old and still kinda ugly...

One of Meep's eggs hatched today!

So we now have a baby finch, it's name is Splott.

It is very, very cute and very, very ugly both at the same time.

We may have another one this time tomorrow!

Oh and Rusty the Bengalese has three eggs as well....

= lots and lots of birdies!!!!!!

Plus how could I forget my Bowie fix of the week!

Yep Mr Bowie was the guest star on Extras this week!

David looked fabulous, although I still hate Ricky Gervais and don't find him funny at all, the only thing I laughed at in the whole show was Mr Bowie himself!

If anyone can get me the "Sad Little Fat Man" song I will be very grateful!

Well none of Meeps eggs hatched, but I guess it was only her first try! Of course this prompted us to go out and get two more Zebra Finches, so now we have "Speckles" Mer-nurp and Whisper in our little birdy family.

I somehow managed to get 64% on my last Greek assignment, which means I only need to get 40% on my exam to pass. My exam is on the 10th of October, so please send me lots of good thoughts!

On Wednesday I will be heading up to Yorkshire as some random family member is getting married. I will be back again on Monday 2nd for my Birthday, I will be 28, not sure what to think of that?

Still busy making short films, revising for my exam and my next OU course starts on the 26th... eeeek....

The Vileevils, who are just about as close as you get to Pop Will Eat Itself these days, are playing at the Civic in Wolvo on the 16th December!

So anyone who wants to buy me a Birthday/Xmas present, I really need to go to this gig!

They're only £10 each, but as my bank account at the moment equals £0.63. I am trying open begging instead!

Plus I guess I stand a better chance of someone else paying for these, rather than the Bowie concert in New York next may?

Oh my Birthday is on the 2nd October just so you all know!

Meep now has four eggs!

And I think more are yet to come?

If all are fertile we may be about to have a lot more finches?

Meep my Zebra Finch has finally laid some eggs, we have two so far, so tomorrow is the all important third day; as after three they are meant to start incubating properly!

So far Meep and Widdlie-weep, has been great future parents, taking it in turns to egg sit and rolling the eggs every so often.

So now the question remains how many will she lay? Zebra Finch's lay one egg a day and can lay up to twelve eggs! (Some times more! Arrggghhh....)

Also we not too sure if they are actually fertilized or not? I don't want to mess with their eggs, so I guess we will know in a couple of weeks time?

gabby2600 and I seem to be somewhat renowned at making our lives slightly more hectic. So the announcement of a competition where you had to make a short film, from script stage to DVD in 48 hours seemed like a fairly good idea to Gab and myself.

The 48 hours are happening as type this!

Yesterday morning at about 10am Gab and our friend Ather, headed over to deepest, darkest, Dudley to enter. You get given a Title, Genre and one line of Dialog to use in your short film. We got 'Outdoors', Drama and a line I can't quite remember right now because my brains is mush...

So as Drama can mean just about anything, we went for the Indie Film Makers staple of bad Horror Movie!

Last night at about 9:30pm I was driven up to North Staffordshire (somewhere near Alton Towers), in a small car which contained Ather our Director, two of his brothers, one is a sound guy and the other got to double as murder victim and killer in the same film! There was also Ixsie our leading man for the night, plus Gab and I.

Our location was a huge wondrous old vicarage, owned by a friend of Ather's, said owner also lent us his two teenage daughters to be our other two main leads.

I feel I should also point out to those of you who know how ill I've been of late, that no I wasn't feeling any better, but some how a huge amount of adrenaline kicked in and I hardly suffered at all!

So from about 11pm through to 8am, we shot our film. Details are pointless, as the movie making process is really quite tedious, for those not directly involved. I was Script Supervisor and Assistant Director. Gab was Cameraman!

I made it home 12 hours after I left and slept until 3pm, at 4 Gab got whisked away to start editing.

I now feel like hell and worse than ever, but hey I made a film last night and not many people can say that!

So no baby Zebra Finches yet, turns out Meep was pretending to be pregnant to try and get some? Yep the animal kingdom is a weird place!

In other events...

I got to walk up to complete strangers today and say the line:-

"Excuse me, I am filming for BBC Local TV, do you mind if I ask you a few questions?"

Very weird feeling? I never thought I'd ever work for the BBC, even as a student. When are news pieces are online I'll post a link!

Tomorrow I have to do some interviews!

For gabby2600's birthday we got a pair of Zebra Finches. We planned on breeding them, but we thought we would let them settle in first.

Of course I forgot one of the rules of pet shops!

That is of course that all female animals much be pregnant!

Meep wasn't looking very well this evening, so I looked up the symptoms on the internet and it seems like she may well be pregnant and about to lay an egg!

So emergency nest building ensues...

I'll let you know what happens!

This time it is Angus's turn to go AWOL!

He often just wanders off over night, but now we haven't seen him for a couple of days... sigh...

I already miss him... hopefully he does a Hamish and just wanders back as if nothing has happened!

I think I may be having house cats from now on.

Yes! Hamish is back home after nearly three days and nights!

I am so happy!

He has now eaten lots of food and we are not letting him out again for at least a month!

Woo!

First the bad...

One of our cats Hamish has been missing for well over 24 hours, we have looked every where for him and now just about have to presume the worst has happened. He will be missed terribly, he was once again our youngest cat.



Ok now the good news...

We won our first appeal, the benefits agency now owe us just over £1000!

Today, I don't know whether to laugh or cry....
