*Abuses Photobucket* Moar Sims. This is the last Sims post for a while, I swear. (Define "a while". XD Anyway, moving on.) My Mello, Near and Matt Sims have no Death Note friends right now, because they`re in college and I have neither the will nor the nerve to put all the others through college. But once they enter the actual neighbourhood, they`ll all be there. I`m using Akane`s adorable L and Misa Sims, but I made the others myself so I figured I`d share. I also figured out what my screenshot quality problem was. Evening Time Is Simspam Time Pt II ~! Yeah. You get more of these. How you deserve this? I don`t know, I`m just evil like that. Mostly random again; maybe I`ll be able to actually tell a story with these darned little things one day, but now is not that day, obviously. XD Also, a mix of crappy screenshots and remotely less crappy screenshots, because I got a more decent camera mod somewhere in between. Anyway. You know, a lot of the time, I let my Sims do whatever they please, to see what happens. Usually nothing, since Sims are boring. ^^; But - this broke my little shipper heart. For a while. Watch Me Take That Death Note Meme Everyone Else Did! Heading out to my parents` again this weekend, so moar travelling ahead. Attending the party of a friend who happens to share Near`s birthday. But I am determined to prepare something for Near, as well. Hope I can get something done! Would post more relevant RL news, but there`s not much to say. Social life gud, love life gud, still nothing on the career front. That is ... I did get accepted for an apprenticeship at a script editor`s office, but somehow they did not get in contact with me ... a week after telling me I was accepted. Um. Ok. iPods interact with rays shot from the fingers of gym teachers! So I had an interesting dream last night. In the dream, I was sitting in a school gym, I'm not sure which--it looked like the one at my middle school, but the bleachers were on the wrong side, and friends of mine who didn't go to my middle school were there. So it was myself, Mari, Rara, and Reka sitting on the bleachers. There were some other people who I apparently knew in the dream, but whom I can't identify in real life, participating in a dance. I'm not sure why I wasn't participating, I think it was because my friends weren't and I wanted to talk to them. We didn't talk much, though. My friends were all listening to their iPods, and I was listening to my mp3 player as we watched the dance. Bored, I soon joined in, but not long after I did, there was a huge red flash, and everyone doing the dance became rigid and terrified. The gym teacher was laughing maniacally. There were a few people unaffected by the red flash, and those were the people who weren't carrying iPods. For some inexplicable reason, one of the people in the crowd was Sokka, from Avatar. He had no iPod, and he was supporting a tiny girl who also didn't have an iPod, but who had cancer and was nearly unconcious. Many of the affected people were acting very strangely. They didn't seem to be able to speak or move, and they stayed that way for a while. Everyone who wasn't affected--myself, my friends on the bleachers, Sokka, and this girl, left as soon as we could. The rest of the dream was spent discussing what happened--at one point we somehow hired L to investigate. Apparently the gym teacher could shoot these disabling rays from his fingers, but they only worked if they interacted with iPods. Which was why I was okay--I don't have an iPod, just a dinky little mp3 player, and I hadn't even taken it with me. My friends were okay because they didn't get hit by the blast. It was a very strange dream, and one of the few recent ones I've remembered in any detail. So far, the only message I've gleaned from it is 'don't buy Apple products, they interact with disabling rays'. Considering that I'm planning on buying a new computer on Tuesday, this is a somewhat sensible thing to be on my mind--not that this is remotely valid advice, of course. haha i'm a dork asldfjs;ldasa drew muh petz!  kinda practicing drawing animals. i need to get better at drawing in general, i think. really wish i was in some art classes (or any classes) because i crave structure and someone to force me to do art shit, especially stuff i'm not used to doing/have never done before. um. so yeah i'm playing with my style a bit and i'm trying to make it a liiiiittle less formulaic and i'm also trying to simplify it a little or.. something i dunno. i just wanna be happy with my work for longer than a few months for once. i'm going to start just drawing whatever comes to mind. musicians, things in my room, stuff that happens, hell even some fanart. i also want to get my hands on some cheap markers and a good set of pens. any suggestions? i really like how laura park's inks look. i have a weird aversion to ink though. i always think it makes my stuff look dumb. but maybe i'm just not using good pens. also there's the fact that i always make a ton of mistakes and i'm not always very fluid. ink is just so.. permanent. but it would be good for me to get used to drawing with inks i think. it would force me to get better maybe. ugh i have commissions to do and i'm being lazy. that's a really bad habit. i'm going to work on them tomorrow for sure. oh for some reason my debit card keeps getting declined? i haven't called the bank yet, but i don't know what the problem is. i have money in that account and the card doesn't expire til 2010. i tried using it in reno a couple times and it was declined, then i tried ordering a book online and it was declined... what giiiiiives. and i only have $10 in cash. poop. I am two, four, even six frogs, but never three! Real Life1. I really miss Erik. I haven't been able to speak with him much lately--my laptop's been busted and as such I've hardly been on AIM. Technically, I could call him, but we never really got the hang of the whole 'phone' thing. We interact best in person, and besides, right now he's in Cincinatti, so I couldn't really call him anyway. No amount of contact makes up for not seeing him, though. I'm not exactly looking forward to moving back to school, but if anything helps alleviate my baseless sense of dread it's knowing I'll get to see him. 2. I'm getting a new computer on Tuesday, presumably! I'm still really confused about what I should get, there are pros and cons to everything. My grandmother offered to pony up the cash, so part of the decision is in her hands. I seriously didn't even ask her, I just told her my computer was broken and I had to buy a new one, because we were talking about computers. I wasn't trying to imply that she should pay for it at all, but she offered. This is very helpful to me, I'd like to keep my hard-earned cash. Whatever happens, hopefully I'll have some sort of working laptop in a matter of days. Never 3. On Thursday I went to Mari's late-as-fuck birthday party. It was a theme party, using Alice in Wonderland. I myself didn't dress up, but I did wear a shirt with an Alice in Wonderland print, so I suppose that's something. It was a good time. I spent most of it stuffing my face and talking to whoever I happened to be sitting next to. Mari loves cooking, so her parties are always delicious. God, I liked the cheesecake she made infinitely more than the store-bought cake that looked exactly like the strawberry cake L eats in Death Note. Even my retarded fangirling couldn't make it taste better. So yes--it was a good time, and it was nice to get out and see my friends. I've been a bit of a recluse since Katy came home. 4. My dog Mischa is apparently terrified of my cat Roxanne. I was sitting at the kitchen table with Roxanne on my lap, when Mischa walked by. Roxanne glared angrily and let out a hiss, whereupon Mischa stared up at her with big, wide eyes and whimpered. Mischa has never ever whimpered in my earshot. Poor thing seemed scared to death, which is funny, since Mischa is one of those tiny dogs with a Napolean complex--she thinks she's the queen of everything. But she was cowed by Roxanne, the sweetest, friendliest, least threatening cat I've ever met. Fandom1. I've been asked to write a Light/Matsuda/L fanfic. I'm actually going to be paid for this, though whether it'll be in the form of actual money or a paid LJ account has yet to be determined. So far I've written about one page on looseleaf, but the plot fizzled and died. It'll involve writing quite a bit of smut, something I'm not accustomed to, as well as writing pairing(s) that aren't my usual thing. I love a challenge, but that's what this is, a challenge. If anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears. L and Light are both supposed to be interested in Matsuda--I've yet to determine how or why. 2. This is probably a horrible idea, so much so that I doubt I'll even do it, but I'm really tempted to write medical histories for some of the Death Note characters. This is a bad idea because a) I don't know what Japanese medical histories look like, b) I don't know enough medical jargon, c) it probably wouldn't interest anyone except me, and d) I'd be tempted to spam them with way, way too many health conditions.
