Ok folks!
[info]aflyingteapot posted to a small fandoms friending meme that was full by the time I got there.
However, [info]aflyingteapot and I made the Small Fandoms community instead. :)
Basically, it's a community for those fans of small fandoms to come and meet other fans. We'll have a main post that links to each fandom's own posting. Of course, it's blank now because... well, there's been no fandoms posted!

So if you're a fan of a series with a small fandom, be it books/manga/anime/music/movies/games/etc., come join in! Make a post about your small fandom and we'll link it to the main post so others fans can come in and meet and greet! :)

Tim and I were just remembering a series from 2007 that only had one pilot episode - Korogoth of Barbaria.

Honestly though, I'd have to say... hmm. Maybe Ouran Highschool Host Club. OH OH or maybe Star Trek: TNG. Yeah, I know it had 5,000 seasons already. :P

Why did you choose your user name? Is there any special meaning or story behind it?

Originally this account was named loneliestnumber. At the time I snagged this LJ, that was my username I used everywhere else.
I'll confess right now - when I change usernames on one thing, I tend to change everything else. I used Loneliestnumber for a while, then changed to PepeluTivursky. Now I use IAmTheMurderer and HelloMelonbread, plus another name.
Anyhow, I bought a rename token for this account earlier this year and changed it to IAmTheMurderer. The former journal with this name had been deletered and purged, which means no new journals could take the name but an existing one could rename to it, which is what I did.

IAmTheMurderer is inspired by a particular scene out of Azumanga Daioh with my favorite character, Osaka. Save in the English dub, she says, "I am the murderer."

Also I enjoy survival horror games and such so this seemed to tie both my interest in anime and my interest in creepy stuff together. XD

Does anyone on my friend's list here have a Deadjournal?  Do you all get codes you can send to people?
I'd like to sign up for one, there's someone I'm wanting to find on DJ and I can't without an account, haha.

Personal pet peeves when it comes to the Sims 2 downloads:

1) INCLUDE. THE. MESH.  I don't care if it's a free mesh.  Do you know how annoying it is to have to go hunt down the mesh?  Yeah, thanks for linking right to the mesh.  That'll really help if the website goes under or they move everything around, then you have to hunt and hope you found the right mesh.  So BUT THE MESH IN THE FILE.

2) Please double check to make sure you got everything right before you put up your downloads.

3) Please host your stuff on numerous download sites.  I prefer Mediafire myself because they don't put any caps on the number you can download at once, plus they don't delete things do the links will always be valid.  I also like box.net.  Please, please, please, no rapidshare.  Anything but rapidshare 9_6

4) Red hair isn't the same shade as a red crayon :V  Well, unless it's like Manic Panic dyed red.

Can you tell who's getting ready to reinstall her Sims 2 games?

"Charles Plumb was a US Navy jet pilot in Vietnam. After 75 combat missions, his plane as destroyed by a surface-to-air missile. Plumb ejected and parachuted into enemy hands. He was captured and spent 6 years in a communist Vietnamese prison. He survived the ordeal and now lectures on lessons learned from that experience.

One day, when Plumb and his wife were sitting in a restaurant, a man at another table came up and said, “You’re Plumb! You flew jet fighters in Vietnam from the aircraft carrier Kitty Hawk. You were shot down!”

“How in the world did you know that?” asked Plumb.

“ I packed your parachute,” the man replied. Plumb gasped in surprise and gratitude. The man pumped his hand and said, “I guess it worked!” Plumb assured him, “It sure did. If your chute hadn’t worked, I wouldn’t be here today.”

Plumb couldn’t sleep that night, thinking about that man. Plumb says, “I kept wondering what he might have looked like in a Navy uniform: a white hat, a bib in the back, and bell-bottom trousers. I wonder how many times I might have seen him and not even said Good morning, how are you?’ or anything because, you see, I was a fighter pilot and he was just a sailor.”

Plumb thought of the man hours the sailor had spent on a long wooden table in the bowels of the ship, carefully weaving the shrouds and folding the silks of each chute, holding in his hands each time the fate of someone he didn’t know.

Now, Plumb asks his audience, “Who’s packing your parachute?” Everyone has someone who provides what they need to make it through the day. Plumb also points out that he needed many kinds of parachutes when his plane was shot down over enemy territory-he needed his physical parachute, his mental parachute, his emotional parachute, and his spiritual parachute. He called
on all these supports before reaching safety.

Sometimes in the daily challenges that life gives us, we miss what is really important. We may fail to say hello, please, or thank you, congratulate someone on something wonderful that has happened to them, give a compliment, or just do something nice for no reason.

As you go through this week, this month, this year, recognize people who pack your parachute."

Check out his website. What a fantastic person :)

If there are one or more people on your friends list who make your world a better place just because they exist, and who you would not have met (in real life or not) without the Internet, then post this same sentence in your journal.

Huh, interesting. I just updated my LJ and I shit you not, got about 30 IM messages from random people with bot links or just random strings of words in the few I actually looked at. All maybe 2-3 minutes after updating.
So folks, take your AIM names out of your LJ profiles and set your AIMs to block everyone not on your buddy lists.

Guy kidnaps ex-girlfriend to get ironing done

"ROME (Reuters) - An Italian man was arrested on suspicion of kidnapping his ex-girlfriend from a pub, taking her home and forcing her to iron his clothes and wash the dishes, police said Monday.

The 43-year-old man dragged the woman out of a pub in the port city of Genoa, shoved her into a car and took her to his home where he made her iron and wash dishes after threatening her, they said.

Police arrived at his house after being tipped off by a friend of the woman who watched the scene at the pub.

The man, who was apparently furious at his ex-girlfriend for leaving him, was arrested on charges of kidnapping, police said."
