If you love me, you'll add me there!

I know, I know, I died. Hard. But so did GJ for a while, and as I needed a refuge, I registered that one. This will be where my entries go, my life, all things included, so if you want to hear about it, add me and I'll add you back.

I just thought I should tell ya'll in case you're still interested.
20th-May-2007 04:10 pm - POTC 3 wrap up.

What a day. I will spare no one the expense of what this entry will be. First off, being able to meet Hugh Dancy AND Orlando Bloom under three months? I can't even begin to tell you how fortunate I feel. Life falls into our hands in quite fantastic circumstances sometimes.

Granted, fifteen hours at Disneyland to wait on all the stars is not what I would call an easy job. The first half of the day was amazing weather wise, the second took a turn for the worst. Something awful happened - the sun came out, and as I hadn't expected it to get hot, I didn't bring my fan-spray bottle thing. So balls for that, the sun block went ON every half hour around the clock because I am a white girl.

The stars started rolling in around five, and I use "stars" lightly. Some of these "stars" were only part of the Disney galaxy and were either unheard of or ones I dont give a damn about, like The Cheetah Girls, for instant. Christy Romano was there, too, and I think she's cool and looks like Anne Hathaway, so that's fine. The biggest ones other than Johnny, Orlando, Geoffrey Rush, Keith Richards (who didn't sign but smiled and waved a lot), and Bill Nighy were Teri Hatcher, Michael Rosenbaum, Cloris Leachman, Chad Michael Murray, Wilmer Valderrama, Roy Disney, Naomi Harris, Tom Hollander, Jack Davenport (who irked me some), and probably more that you already know about if you've been on Wireimage. Martin Klebba, who played the little guy in the Pirates movies, was also there with his date, the little person woman from Boston Legal.

So. Let's get down to business. I really, really, REALLY started to feel the Orlando vibes the minute I saw his mum Sonia and his sister Sam about 100 yards away. For the record, they're both beautiful ladies. Sure, his mother is older and aged, but you can tell in her day she used to have a lot of style. Orlando takes after her in a lot of ways. She was also wearing a red outfit and Sam was wearing a dress that looked like it had a lavender-green leaf pattern running on it, but I honestly can't remember. I also thought Sam was much more beautiful in person (busty) compared to photos where she can only look "cute". If they had come closer, I would have asked for autographs. Seriously. But I only saw Sonia later and Sam somehow managed to disappear.

It couldn't have been twenty minutes later that you started...to sense...the suspense. One minute, there was Geoffrey Rush with a monkey on his shoulder. The next, "Orlando, Orlando, Orlando!" So we were all looking, didn't see him, and then BAM. "He's wearing white! Nevermind, he's wearing blue...and white!" Aaaaand the screams commensed. He took shots all the way down the line - around city hall, past the bleachers, RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME (no ass shots), and beyond, every so often turning around to point, smile, and wink. We knew he would come around and sign and he did. He walked back and started from the right, going left. In between, Jerry Bruckheimer popped up and I got his autograph. And thennnnn, dun dun dun Charmen, THERE. HE. WAS. I whipped out my Details Magazine, got my silver sharpie ready, and...in all of thirty seconds it hit me, why do you need a stupid OB X autograph when you have a personalized one with his full name? So I trashed that idea and resolved to get a photo with him. Until, you know, a cast member told me that Orlando can't take photos WITH the fans. I pouted a little and agreed to it. They also told the fans in the bleachers that they couldn't get out of their seats and lean against the barriers, and if they did, they would put Orlando back on the red carpet and he wouldn't sign. Of course they DID and so they were just about to rush him through until he came right past me and stopped to sign. I leaned forward and touched his hand. He took it and gave it a squeeze, tilted his head and smiled. His eyes were shimmering and he almost fucking glowed. I'm pretty sure he did his typical "Awww" before he said "Thank you SO much for coming out, darling." Whatever I said after that - some variation of "You're welcome!" and "Thank YOU!" - doesn't make a damn difference. I. Had touched. Orlando. I could probably cry.

The next three minutes to pass, I watched him sign, pose, sign, smile, laugh, turn around to hug some friends (including their kids, aww), and do more of the same. I couldn't do anything, so all I did was keep snapping until he was completely out of the distance. Even with that, there really wasn't much I could do as ten or so minutes later, there was the Jesus Christ of Pirates of the Caribbean. Of course I'm referring to JOHNNY FUCKING DEPP. I don't think I could have yelled any louder, he just had this aura and presence to him that shut the whole thing down. Have I mentioned yet how much I love that man? So he did the asme thing Orlando did, posed a lot, showed us his back side (which was amazing, if you have to ask), and turned back around to sign from the right to the left. The cast member next to me that told me I couldn't take a photo with Orlando had gone behind the barracades like a fan and seen Johnny Depp. She had tears in her eyes and she told me how Disney cast members aren't allowed to use their cell phone on duty. She asked if I could take a photo of Johnny with her camera phone, but unfortunately I wasn't able to as she had to go back to work and got called somewhere else. Hopefully she's in some photo agency shots because she was so extremely sweet. She got replaced by this male cast member who was really cute and giggly and kept blocking my view, apologizing every time he did. I think he was new.

This girl behind me...it was her birthday, so I agreed earlier (quite shadily) to have Johnny sign her poster. I couldn't guarantee it, but I knew I would try to. So I grabbed the poster from her as he was making his steps toward me, and he signed my autograph book and her poster which she pointed out to him, saying it was her birthday and whatnot. I don't know what he ended out saying to her, I just know I was responding pretty casually and actually acting extremely cool despite, you know, him being Johnny Depp. He asked me how I was doing and I said I was doing fantastic. Unfortunately, I had nothing else to say, so he went on to do his job and I just kept snapping. Still, I don't care. Johnny Depp. JOHNNY. FUCKING. DEPP.

Extra mentions: Bill Nighy who posed when I asked him to pose. Nearly made my entire day. Jack Davenport who I thought was an ass (I wouldn't think he's an ass because he didn't sign, I just thought he was an ass because he looked at us like "are you kidding?"). Chad Michael Murray who posed with this crying nine year old fan who belonged to the worst parents imagineable. Some random guy in front of me on Thunder Mountain who recognized the "watch the goat" trick (at a certain point, there's a goat with a stick of dynamite in his mouth, and if you watch the goat as you make the turn, it makes it that much more amazing) as I was explaining it to my friend. He turned around and we started saying back and forth to each other, "You know Watch the Goat! Watch the Goat!". We gave each other high fives and he's making it his MySpace slogan now, apparently.

And that...was my day. Any more questions? None? Okay, then let's get to the pictures.

I know none of you will read any of that anyway. And hi, a lot of these are blurry. )
17th-Apr-2007 10:25 pm - I've been anxiously awaiting this day forever.
APRIL 18TH: DAY OF SILENCE

The Day of Silence is an annual event held to bring attention to anti-LGBT bullying, harassment and discrimination in schools. Students and teachers nationwide will observe the day in silence to echo the silence that LGBT and ally students face everyday. In it's 11th year, the Day of Silence is one of the largest student-led actions in the country.

I'm going to try and shut the fuck up all day. If you can, take part in it, pin something to your chest, show some pride. And pray this flies well in my acting class.
I am about to be so obnoxious right now. BEAR WITH ME. Or, you know, join and take part in the first challenge. If you own a stills community, yourself, I'd love to be affiliates.

7th-Apr-2007 12:23 pm - I met Hugh Dancy.
Well, I've been meaning to get this entry out a LONG time ago. Actually, scratch that, I had every intention to post it today. Why? I met Hugh Dancy. I fucking met Hugh fucking Dancy. A week ago, even, a week ago from today. I saw Journey's End, too, which was an experience unlike any other, but let's just start at the very beginning.

The play...was spectacular. I told eight people to go see it, people I'd never even met whether I was in the like with them at TKTS or just talking to them at a restaurant. Any single person I could. If you are in the New York area, SEE THIS SHOW. Make it live! I never actually weep, you know. I get misty eyed. But I was shaking and was almost obnoxious. Words cannot express how proud I am to be a Hugh Dancy fan. He was amazing, just as the reviews have said. He wore the character in his eyes with all his strengths and weaknesses. One delivery still sits with me, "There's only so much one man can bear." Jesus Christ. If you can, RUN, don't walk, to this amazing piece of theate. The company deserve as long a run as they can get. This show deserves that. Stark Sands, Jefferson Mays, Boyd Gaines, the whole ensemble...ack, I can't say enough. If I didn't live 3,000 miles away, I'd see it again and again and again.

Now, stage door. We bought those 20 dollar window cards and sprinted to the gate. Jefferson Mays came out first. He was so wonderful in the play in a role that wasn't all that complex - just a chef (and I use that word lightly) and yet he brought him to life. Then this hot guy named Kieran Campion who played a german soldier came out, as well as Justin Blanchard. Nice and casual guys. They both signed an autograph for me and my friend Pat from Australia, Justin found that extremely cool that someone that far away was a fan of the show. Stark Sands came out next and he was very sweet and gay. I said to him, "You're so tall!" and he said, "Yeah, I know!" He was kind of a smart ass but in a good way. I would have loved to have chilled with him for longer but HUGH DANCY had to walk out...

And NOW we shall cut tag. )

So more can I say? This has already been a novel. Thank you, Hugh. Thank you, New York. Thank you to my mom and thank you to my friends. Hell, thank you to YOU if you even read all this! Or even if you look at the pictures, which I know you'll scrolling down to see anyway. I look shitty in nearly ALL of these but I uploaded the originals to Flickr without editing. Proceed avec caution! Still haven't gotten Jenny's pictures yet, but they'll no doubt be amazing.

PICS! LOTS! )

I had more icons but they're on my extended harddrive and that's being an ass muncher. The B&S icons are completely Kevin/Scotty centric. If you have any requests from that episode, tell me what scene and I'll cap and icon. Enjoy these.
