Ah, finally, the truth shines through.
I suppose that statement is meaningful in more ways than one. Oh, well. No point in keeping this charade up any longer. Miss Kendall has been invaluable in many, many ways, and I really must thank her for it.
Now, I suppose it's about time that I go and give our own Angel some greetings, direct from the Senior Partners. I've been waiting rather some time for this, and I don't think it wrong to say I will enjoy killing him very, very much.

Well, I have been conversing with Miss Kendall for a while now Which is a pleasure, as always, and observing the boys in the office adjacent. Something drastic is soon to occur, I am sure of it. This standoff must have a conclusion, and I think soon.
Perhaps I will see for myself just what is going on.
I will return shortly.Current Mood: Waiting... Current Music: Sleepy Head-The Pillows

I know I may sound like a broken record, but I really am pleased with Angel as of late. Profits have skyrocketed lately, and the Partners couldn't be more pleased. This is the Angel we have been hoping to see this whole time.
//Firewalled against any who are not the Senior Partners// I am a very satisfied liaison of late. Especially, I should note, after that wonderful thrashing I was able to give to a certain Arrogant One. Of course, I have our man Wesley to thank for her newly weakened state.
And they say video games increase your hand-eye coordination.
Though I have to wonder what Spike will think of his new decor...
And on top of it all, who should I be sent to fetch, but old Drogyn? A touching reunion, most assuredly. Well, touching in technicality, at least. It's always nice to see that while you have been moving up in the world, old friends have been moving down. //Firewall complete//
The others on the team are also exemplary, of course. Everyone here at Wolfram and Hart is a valued member of the team. From the highest CEO to a much-needed secretary. Speaking of whom, I think I should see if she could help me with something.
Wait, what exactly is going on in Angel's office?Current Mood: Pleased Current Music: cominagetcha-Propellerheads-decksanddrumsandrockandroll

For better or for worse, I still have very little of note to speak of this past week. All amusing Rome-based anecdotes aside, business is running like a business here, and I don't think I would be entirely arrogant for thinking I helped steer it in this direction.
Of course, it's all just part of a grander design, but not everybody seems to understand that.
It may be worth noting that I am coming to feel a bit more in my position as time goes on. I should hope and think that I will be in it for quite some time. It is certainly interesting enough. And, of course, I enjoy working with everyone here. Though some more than others...Current Mood: noncommittal

I'm just checking in, letting the world, within or without, know that I remain, unchanged. Not a lot of note has been going on at the offices lately, and once again, I think this is most likely good news. Angel has been conducting business in an expemplary fashion lately, and everything has been going quite smoothly.
//Firewalled against all but the Senior Partners// Oh, speaking of Angel...
I am sure you have already heard, most likely from our Rome branch, but our pair of heroic bloodsuckers had a bit of an adventure in Italy. From what I have meticulously and hastily pieced together, it would seem that they had something of a run-in with The Immortal.
They seemed to be in a bit of a tizzy over a mutual ex-lover (the eldest of the current slayers, it may be worth noting), and apparetnly made rather a charming pair of boobs of themselves. I would have loved to have been there to see it.
Ah, well, the important fact of the matter is that they eventually allowed the Rome offices to do things their way. Again, another sign that Angel, and to some degree, Spike, are steadily "wising up." //Ended.//
OH! How could I have forgotten?
There was a bit of a fuss when Miss Burkle's parents stopped by. It would seem that our lady in blue did a bang up job of sending them off happy. Perhaps she is acclimating to the team, after all.Current Mood: amused Current Music: Nobody Does It Better-Carly Simon-The Best Of James Bond

Congratulations, ghost, I think you are free from testing.
My talk with Mr. Wyndam-Pryce was most illuminating. It put the final nail in the coffin of a certain subject, and that was the testing of the ghost. He is right. It would have been a waste of resources.
He is useless.
After conferring with Angel's team on the matter, they have all expressed beliefs to the effect that Dennis Pearson has no special skills, outside of the normal paranormal-hanger on. He is, it would seem, kept on as a reminder of Miss Chase.
As long as Dennis does not mind being kept about as a morbid shadow of a dead woman, I suppose all is well. I have my answers, and the team has their mascot.

I knew he could do it.
Of course, the Senior Partners have always had the utmost faith in him, and that's enough for me. Perhaps this will be the start of a bold new direction for the team. I certainly hope so.
Speaking of the team, I am still more than a little concerned about this group. Primarily, I find myself concerned about Illyria. They seem to have refrained from doing away with it, er, her. While this is of some concern to the Partners, there is the notable silver lining of her drastic drop in abilities
Though, should she come under the employ of the Senior Partners, that would be a rather supple irony...
On a mostly unrelated front, while I am in some ways glad to see the team coming together, like our prodigan Gunn, other forms of coming together find me more than a little concerned. On-site? In the supply closet of all places? I suppose their way works for them, but I am somewhat disappointed in Miss Kendall.
Oh, and before I forget. Miss Kendall, I have some papers for the science division I would like you to take care of. I had a few spare moments, and thought I would have that ghost looked at, once and for all. I'm sure he wil be able to find something he can contribute to the team.

» MEMORANDUM
TO: Head Custodian - Los Angeles Division FROM: Marcus Hamilton, Executive Liaison - Los Angeles Division DATE: April 26, 2004 RE: Ongoing appraisal of job performance and professional behavior
As a routine part of Wolfram and Hart employment, your ongoing performance is under observation, and some matters have come the the attention of the board of directors. Before these issues are listed however, let me say that we all appreciate all the years of hard work you have given the firm. A glance at your records shows your history to be colorful, at the very least. This will have effects, both positive and negative, on the course of action the Board may take.
The most pressing issue is that of your continually disgruntled disposition. While we appreciate the employee's right to his own thoughts, we ask that you try to curb them while at the workplace. You work around people whose importance is belied by their humility; your seed of unpleasant emotion can cause ripples in their lilves you cannot imagine.
On a related note, it has also come to our attention that you have been known to spread slander about other employees at Wolfram and Hart. As a rule, this is discouraged, though certain exceptions are made for the purpose of competition. Nobody likes to be called names behind their backs. We ask that you try to limit this.
Your job performance, however, has been exemplary. This factor mitigates the problems enough that no action will necessarily be taken at this time. Note that it is for your exceptional skill that we give you this warning. We would like to keep our relationship intact if it all possible.
This brings me to posssibly the most important issue, and that is of the rather extenuating circumstances of your contract. It would seem that your employ here is more of a contractual obligation than a career, and that places all of us in a rather difficult situation. In light of this, I have been authorized to issue the following options.
Should the issue become any worse, we are within our rights to remove your larynx.
Should the problem escalate at that point, we will proceed to remove one of your arms.
Both body parts may, however, be reinstated due to improved performance.
However, should the problem alleviate, i have been able to hammer out an agreement with the board in which you would recieve a salary. I have also arranged an option by which you could gain the benefit of vacation days, should your performance improve enough.
I hope that you find this memorandum useful, both in your job and in your life, such as that is. Please, feel free to come by my office at any time, or leave a message with Miss Kendall.
Ah. I think that will go over perfectly. Now, I just need to drop this off to Miss Kendall. The issue of the ghost, however, still nags at me. Perhaps I will have to come to some manner of understanding with it, as well.

» Brief update
It has, unusally, been a slow day. On, the whole, I can say that I appreciate this. Too much excitement can get to be tiresome in its own way.
Business, however, goes well. Miss Jameson and myself had a very productive meeting over dinner. I will be very interested to hear her decision on the matter.
On a related front, I find the infighting (Both literal and figurative) in this group somewhat surprising. True, Wolfram and Hart encourages friendly competition between co-workers to keep us all sharp. However, fisticuffs in Angel's office are another matter. Though I suppose I could be said to be guilty of the same... Mr. Turner's antagoniziation of the situation also failed to help matter. I suppose he thought he was cooling them off...
Which reminds me... I absolutely must have a word with Angel about this ghost. Is this something that the employees are generally aware of? I thought that this group had a standing policy toward ghost infestations. E.G., Mr. Pavayne.
The head custodian also needs speaking to, if I can arrange for someone to do it. While the grounds are ever-immaculate, as he does his job exceptionally well, he seems to have somewhat of a bad attitude. This reflects poorly on Wolfram and Hart, and that is an issue that extends all the way down to the freshest mailboy.
Ah, well, I must make ready for tomorrow. Tasks.

» Thoughts
Well. This past pair of days has been remarkably hectic. Of course, I shouldn't be surprised if this is the norm at this branch. Ah, well, all the more opportunity for its members to do their very best, I suppose.
//Firewalled against all but the Senior Partners//
Speaking of which, Angel is an arrogant twit. I did enjoy our talk the other day, however. I think that maybe, with enough time, he might be able to learn a little respect. That's fine with me; we've both got more than enough time.
Mr. Gunn, on the other hand, is a remarkable fellow. I finally got to meet him, albeit briefly, and I must say that I was impressed with his resolve. I think that he will make a very useful ally.
Angel's son also interests me. I suspect that he is worth watching, but this is, of course, old policy. I also find myself impressed with Vail's ability to so readily bend Angel to his will. Of course, the Partners have troublesome contracts that slow the process slightly, but I believe in their design.
Ah, speaking of contracts...
//End firewall//
Miss Jameson and I have some matters to attend to tonight. Certain issues need to be addressed now, while there is still time. I think, however, that dinner may be bland compared to this evening's events. I wonder is Miss Kendall could be any more excitable... No need to worry about boredom in this position.
Ah, I have to go. Things to do.

» "Secretaries Day"
Today was Administrative assistants day. As a supporter of our administrative staff, I decided to try to do something nice for Miss Kendall. Now that she isn't trying to throttle me. She seems to like Unicorns, so I thought that a music box with a unicorn on top would be to her liking.
I had it delivered to her house, however, as I didn't want to make some sort of a scene at the workplace. Decorum is important, I feel.
Additionally, I think that I am making headway with Angel. I think, perhaps, we are coming to understand each other a little bit better.

I seem to be having a few problems.
I don't know if others have noticed this, but I am a man with purpose. As such, I can not be expected to deal with frivolities on company time. Frivolities like door handles.
This can lead to problems.
Not problems for myself, as I know fully well how to handle my own affairs. It has, however, begun to make a slightly negative impression on Wolfram and Hart's image, I think. I realize that I need ro remedy this problem, and take the time out of my day to open doors properly.
However, damage has been done, and for that I apologize. This, however, is where our next problem arises. Normally, I would go to the Public Relations specialist on this issue. It has, however, been brought to my attention that we do not have a Public Relations head at the moment; the curent one is merely temporary.
This is indeed a snag, though a small one, of course.

» Initial Day
Well. I spent today simply looking over the ground of Wolfram and Hart's Los Angeles division, and getting acclimated to both the people and the place. While I found it all exactly as I was told I would, it was still an enjoyable experience.
I should think I will be greatly interested to work with this group of people. All of them show not only colorful personalities, but bright futures here at Wolfram and Hart. I was disappointed, however, to have missed some of the team. Ah, well, all in good time.
In other eclectica, my computer is running smoothly. I think that I will be able to fit perfectly in my new position.

Hello.
I am opening this journal at the suggestion of some of my coworkers at Wolfram and Hart. I can see the use of a journal, especially now that I am in an exciting new situation. This evening marks the beginning of my tenure as Executive Liaison between The Senior Partners and Angel.
Speaking of Angel, I was expecting him to be taller. Truth be told, he does slouch, though.
But I digress. There were some marginally unexpected snags, but I was glad that today's business was finished bloodlessly. Well, unless you count that one fellow. I don't. On a related note, I almost wonder what Eve will do now. Most likely McDonald, I suppose.
I, on the other hand, know exactly what I will be doing. As I told Angel and his comrades in the parking garage, I have some fantastic ideas for the team. I find myself looking forward to what should be an interesting time for all of us at the Wolfram and Hart team. And yes, that includes you, William.
Well, off to get a fresh start! So much to do!
