I *really* underestimated the plight of the polar bear until I saw Planet Earth on what's going on... I was actually in tears at the end of the segment.
The warming of the oceans is making it harder for bears to find seals to feed on, which rest on ice blocks in the ocean. This also means that they're now traveling up to 60 miles away from land looking for food - finding none, and they're drowning.
Months pass where they go without food, leaving them to attack walruses - which are threats to the bears. Polar bear claws and bites are useless against walrus inches of thick blubber and their 3 foot long tusks. Bears cannot get to the pups.
Many bears attack out of desperation, and lose. Walruses are so strong, they can drag polar bears into the water, as the bear is trying to attack them. The bears then turn to human lands, or cannibalism out of desperation from months of no food.
If that doesn't work, they die...

- On that note:
If those fur-sona freaks that I hate and fear so much (the ones that dress in fur suits, go to fur cons, and fuck each other in these furry personas 'yiffing') gave two shits about the environment rather than their self deluded asses - I wouldn't mind them so much.

Okay, with the coming of the fall season, two major MMOs are going to compete for your money!
In the right corner is Warhammer: Age of Reckoning
In the left corner is World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King
Who will win?!?
First, lets get the history lesson in: Warcraft was created FROM Warhammer over 10 years ago. A game in the making was slashed, and Blizzard was founded in the early 1990s. They took the Warhammer races and lore, changed it around, and created Warcraft.
It wasn't until 1994, when Chris Metzen, a lowly artist at Blizzard, became Vice President, that the lore saw a shift and he created stories to these races and classes, changing it from Warhammer... Warhammer, on the other hand, died down to a table top strategy game, never really bursting through the gaming market, even with their real-time strategies.
( Now the Comparison of who will win the war this holiday season )
Ultimately, until more is put out there by Warhammer, we can't really tell the comparison. It seems that WAR will be more open PvP and less grind oriented, with more classes than WoW. Either way, I'm going to get WAR and play both.

Okay, words out that the show is only in Canada right now. So far, my friends are loving it, and I had to share for all my X-loving LJ friends on here...
So far, its great. Lots of cameos, great voice acting (right down to the PROPER accents), and the mutants feel VERY X-Menish rather than what Evolutions was like.
Steven Blum (Wolverine's voice actor) never sounded so sexy...

Still no invite key... Thought I got it, but it was a billing question answered -__- I really hoped I'd get it over the weekend, but I had a feeling I wouldn't. Why give keys on the weekened when people are gong to be stuck, have questions, and no one will be there to help as far as customer support all weekend?
Monday or tues is what I'm shooting for by now.

Dear Sims Skin Creators,
Please STOP making all male hair/clothing styles look gay. Seriously... Why not just make a t-shirt and baggy jeans like what most real men wear? I refuse to download anything "fabulous" - especially if its a pink tank top and camo pants *gags* Do you dress your men in the real world this way?!
