02:59 pm - end of holidays and HARD TIMES
last week was my last week of holidays, now i'm back to reality.
I spent 2 weeks of holidays trying to have enough fun. Last august-21 Jaume and me and some friends else were at IEPER FEST in BELGIUM. It was good cause we met some friends who dont live in Barcelona and others who are from other countries. Also cause I met new people. But I'm dissapointed about the location of the festival. It was in a field, the weather was so shitty, it rain and there were a lot of mud everywhere. It was not summer it was like if we were in the fucking autumm. I'm not happy at all about these holidays. the only good things: the after party on the second day of the fstival with people from spain and italy. meet one of my best friend of my childhood, Gabriela, who lives in a city near to Brussels. It was so nice to see her after 8 years without see her. Back in Barcelona I stayed at home the three last days of my holidays, cause I got cold and my throat was fucked up. I couldnt go to the beach any day, fuck!
Tomorrow I'll do a review about the bands...

now some pics:

IEPER, the village.

Now i'm plannin' to spend a couple of days in a small village which have a beatiful landscapes of the sea. I want to go there... cause now i'm living HARD TIMES about my realtion-ship with Jaume and another things that I'm feeling right now. My mind is so confused and my heart is hurting a lot... so I need to find the answers to my doubts and bad feelings. Mainly cause I don't want to hurt anyone with my future decisions. I just hope that the HARD TIMES dissapear soon and THERE WILL BE QUIET AFTER THE STORM. I feel so bad, so really need to my myself and my way for a better life. Fix the things is my main goal.

11:08 pm - .......
last weekend I spent it trying to have fun to forget the things that don't let me be quiet, partying with my goodfella Marta. I met her on friday's night at her neighbourhood cause there are some festivies (which are well known in the city). We were hanging out with her daugther Ingrid(6 years old) and a couple of her friends. Marta asked me why I was "strange", like "worried" cause she said that she could see in my face. So I told her what's happening to me. We were chatting for while about it... and that was very good to me cause I could feel myself better.
On saturday I didn't do any special...just clean up things at home, later met with Jaume's parents for dinning and in the night I met with Marta again. We went to a show with some bands that I have never listened in my life. I didn't enjoy this show. Later we tried to find any place without many people but it was impossible, all pubs were packed. I was overwhelmed, so the only thing that I just wanted it was to be at place without people yelling out or with loud music. So we stayed in a street until Marta's girl friend, Mariana, arrived and we were chatting for a while.

Well, I'm still overwhelmed about those thoughts and feelings that lately I have. So I think I should put 'em clear and a find 'em a solution... soon or later.

Is this love
by Whitesnake

I should have know better
Than to let you go alone
It's times like these I can't make it on my own
Wasted days and sleepless nights
And I can't wait to see you again

I find I spend my time waiting on your call
How can I tell you babe,
my back's against the wall
I need you by my side to tell me it's all right
'Cause I don't think I can take anymore

(chorus)
Is this love that I'm feeling
Is this the love that I've been searching for
Is this love or am I dreaming
This must be love
'Cause it's really got a hold on me

A hold on me

I can't stop this feeling
I've been this way before
But with you I've found the key
to open any door
I can feel my love for you growing stronger
day by day
And I can't wait to see you again
So I can hold you in my arms

(chorus)

Is this love that I'm feeling
Is this the love that I've been searching for

Sometimes there are things that you don't know how or why suddenly comes to your live. There's something in my head/heart that I can't get it out. Something that I know very well it could not be possible and that hurts me. I try to avoid those thoughts and feeeling about it, but I can't.
I try dont think about it, but I can't... it's present all the time. It's so close but at same time so far.

09:55 pm - summer' holidays coming...
Ok, I have been so lazy these last days and even busy doing things (setting up shows, editing photos, translating texts of Clitocore zine in spanish to english).
Well last 2 weeks have been good enough. July 19 and 20 my dudette Sylv and me set up a show for our friends Wolfi(from Germany) and Asia(from Poland) who play together in a band called THE FIGHT. Both shows were good, though the saturday's night show were not many people at all. The FIGHT stayed at my home a couple of days, we didn't share a lot time together cause I was so tired , but at least the time shared at home was nice. They left on monday cause they had to play in Valencia.

Last July 25th I was in Valencia visiting my goodfella Toni and also cause that date there was a show with several bands that I really was willing to see (cause some of 'em are my fellows). So friday early in the morning I took a train to Valencia and I arrived around midday... later ran to take a bus to Toni's home. So always is good to see a goodfella like him, even if you have seen him the previous 2 weeks. We spent the noon chilling at his home cause it was so fucking hot. Around 21pm we and a couple of his friends went to dinner and go to the village where the show has to happen. It was a small village one hour from Valencia, almost next to the mountains...a place lil' bit weird for a hc show. It was a good show, I enjoyed it, i met new people like Vega and Roger, a couple of Toni's friedns who are the most nice skinheads that I've ever knew. though I got a hit on my cheek cause a couple of guys going side by side in the pit they didn't see me and they beat me down.It was more or less around 05am and there was a band playing and one more which left to play.... so we decided to leave cause it was so fucking late and we had a long road back home. We arrived around 06:30am at Toni's home so I was sleeping the whole trip and I just wanted to be in the bed. We woke up at the afternoon, ran to buy some stuff to eat and spend the whole noon at home watching movies and playing videogames.
At night Toni met with some of his friends (one of 'em Xanito, who I met two weeks ago and it was so nice to see him again) to go to dinner to KFC, yeah, the dammit KFC. I just ate french fries, cooked corn and a disgusting salad. Later we went to take some "Horchata" and milkshakes, and went to the FUN FAIR, that was so good. We had a nice time there. Me and Toni's friend: Jade (whos is such a funny dude!) and Xanito, decided to have some fun at one thing called "TECHNO KANGURO"... we had a lot of laughs there!
Later, we left to go to the downtown of Valencia to walk around the core of pubs and discos there. I was out... I'm not much into that. I just can say one thing about it: "Abslolute complete moral degeneration"
Toni and me decided that it was time to come back home so we did. Sunday was the most lazy day we had. I wanted to go to the beach but it was so fucking hot as hell...and the good beaches in Valencia are in the surroundings and not in the city. So we stayed at home watching the TV, eating ice creams and listening good music from Toni's huge vinyl collection until my time to take the train for coming back to Barcelona arrives. I spent a realli good weekend in Valencia once again.

Saturday august 2: Jaume and me went to Girona for my cousin Steven's birthday. It didn't do anything special, just eat some typical meals from my country and have a good time with my mom and some friends of my aunt and uncle. Though the bad thing it was a friend of my aunt who asked me if "i've met The Lord"... uhmmm so I said: who? I don't believe in God, sorry, don't try to convince me. this woman told me that she was like me but one day she saw that she was wrong and that The Lord helped her out from the death and quit the cocacine, and he saved her. Ok, good for her! but not for me.... your lord is not my lord... thanks

So one good thing of this last week it's that Pablo, DRAMA's bass player, is back from his months working and living in Costa Rica. We really missed him and it's so nice to see that's ok and we are getting back the practices and shows. We met with hime to see how he's and also he told us his days over there. On sunday Sylv, her friend Hugo, Pablo and me went to beach. We enjoyed the sun and a really tasty TORTILLA DE PATATAS (spanisg omelette) cooked by Hugo.

03:00 pm - summer nites - summer shows
last weekend was ANACRUSA FEST which is an annual summer festival located in the beach of OCATA in a village near to Barcelona. This year the bands playing were: H2O, SLAPSHOT, NAPALM DEATH, NOT AVAILABLE and local bands. Friday's night was H2O show, it was really good to see 'em at live cause I like this band. I shot some pics and i had the chance to meet one of their members, Rusty, who was a really nice dude. It was so good to spend the noon-night in the beach with such good friends.
I had the visit of my homeboy from Valencia, Toni with his friend Xanito (who was so nice to meet him), also the guys from Asturias: Jairo (whom I'd already knew before), Berny and el Sueco (i don't remember his real name). I shared good moments and laughs with 'em.

Saturday was SLAPSHOT and NAPALM DEATH' show, but at afternoon started a hard rain....almost a storm, so during some hours the show was expected to be cancelled... everybody was bummed cause miss the chance to see SLAPSHOT was shitty, but finally around midnight the show could happened at a venue next to the beach. I shot some few pics, on the first song the played and later I put my camera into its bag and I ran to stagediving just when they started to play "NOT FRIEND OF MINE". The whole set was rad though there were some drunk/doped people fucking up around the stage... when they played SHAVED FOR BATTLE, people became nuts!

the only bad thing about last week was the fucking gastritis that I got.

more pics of H2O's how (slapshot' pics coming soon)

it's so fucking hot these last days in Barcelona.
Last sunday there was a BBQ at Raul's home. It was so good cause we ate tasty meals: Jaume cooked a vegetarian PAELLA, Raul put some potatoes, seitan and tofu on the fire and more delicious meals... later we ran to the swimming pool to spend the noon there cause we were waiting to see SPAIN-GERMANY final match of the EURO CHAMPIONSHIP.... SPAIN won.

today my german friend, Menne and his girlfriend, arrived to Barcelona. I went to pick 'em up in the dowtown. We ran to eat something at MAOZ and later go to the the subway for going home. So when the train arrived and we were getting into it, some asshole blocked to my friend and this stupid jerk did something that suddenly Menne said: "my wallet! that guy picked out my wallet from the pocket!"
It was so bad situation. I was into the wagon so i got out and stay with Menne and his girlfriend luggages cause they ran to cath the guy... it was impossible, so I ran to the security staff of subway station and they just told us "go to the police office". We did it. We were waiting arounr 2 hours there, just to make a formal complaint. So Menne was so fucked up and pissed of. He has to go to the german consulate on monday, so as he has to come back to german lands next friday so I hope he can get back all his documents. SHIT HAPPENS!

07:17 pm - shows, holiday' journey
In this two last weeks many things have happened. Last june 12th was MELTDOWN-BITTER END-50 LIONS and LET DOWN show in BARCELONA. It was a good show though there were not many people... what use to happen when the shows are in a day like thursday. It was so good to see MELTDOWN again (i saw 'em first time last year) and this time met front-man band, Pauly, he's such a nice homeboy. We were chatting for a while and trading records. BITTER END was one of the bands that I liked most. I loved their music and their guys were nice too. Next day they had to play in Italy but they had to cancel the show cause it was too far from Barcelona driving, so the kids got the chance to stay in Barcelona as day-off and chilling in the beach. I met with Pauly at afternoon and we conducted a brief interview for STRENGTH&COURAGE zine. Later they left Barcelona to go to Switzerland.

Wednesday June 18, BAD RELIGION. It was absolutely amazing! (though the first time I saw 'em is still being the show of my life)i enjoyed a lot their show. I shot some pics with the camera of my friend Sylv. I was the whole show the whole setlist of the band. I was so like if i had taken a shower or something like that. next day i was at the office and I was so fucking tired, my body was full hurted and bruises in my arms and legs.

here a video that I recorded:

Friday 20: jaume and i decided some weeks ago to visit our good fella and ex flat-mate Toni, who lives in Valencia(a city 3 hours from Barcelona). We arrived friday at noon. Toni picked us up and we ran to his house to put our stuff there. Later we went to take some HORCHATA (a typical and tasty drink from Valencia). Walking around TOni's neighbourhood. Playing some records of his huge vinyl collection. Dinning a TORTILLA DE PATATAS cooked by Toni. Watching some dvds: american hardcore, cro-mags, sheer terror and one that I don't want to say cause it's something that I don't like at all.
Next morning we woke up early and went to the downtown to do some touristic shit. Toni brang us to the Miguelete, which is a hight tower in a gothic church. From that tower you can see the whole city. I shot some pics. Later we went to walk around again and went to a record store were I saw one of DRAMA's vinyl! ;) Back home we cooked some spaghettis with mushrooms and tomatoes. We were like if we ate a bomb... my stomach was so full and it hasn't not place for nything else... Jaume and Toni ate a chocolate cake. later spanish siesta. once again we went to the dowtown to walk around with toni and his flat-mate Rafa. Later we ran to the HORCHATERIA, for some horchatas and fartons. delicious!
Back home, we got ready to party. Toni's good fella, Jade arrived at home. we ate something and later we went out to a pub where some of TONI's homeboys... who are skinheads where there cause a punkrock band had to play. We stayed there around 1 hour or so... later back to the car and go to a small village next to valencia for a reggae festival... I was so tired. We stayed there more or less one hour more and later back home. Sunday, a day to chill. I wanted to go to the beach but Jaume and Toni woke up late so we stayed at home for dinning and chilling. Got ready to come back to Barcelona. Say Toni and Rafa good bye and see 'em soon.

So now i have two days of holidays at job... so I can chill. tomorrow tuesday jaume and i will go to Raul's home for a BBQ and swimming pool day, nice! cause summer has arrived and it's so fucking hot these days.

This next wednesday NEGATIVE APPROACH' show!

02:44 pm - "I Am A Huge Fan Of Bad Religion"
Yesterday I was checking out the photos of the first time I saw BAD RELIGION at live, it was 6 years ago when I was living in Murcia(Spain). That show was one of the best shows of my fucking life. I wont forget it.
I remember the first time I listened BAD RELIGION. I was 14-15 years old, a friend of mine gave my a tape. one side PENNYWISE and the another, BAD RELIGION... the record was GENERATOR. I listened that tape 1000 times. I loved it a lot. So one day a buddy that I met at a show gave a copy of a video-tape of the BAD RELIGION around EUROPE in earlies 90's.
I used to see that video once again. Mainly cause I love GREG GRAFFIN's performance on the stage and his speeches. I remember once i said myself: "One day I'll have to be at one of their shows, and meet 'em in first person" So that became true when I saw 'em 6 years ago. It was amazing to have a chat with Greg Hetson, Brooks Wackerman and mainly with GREG GRAFFIN, cause I admire him so much. They were so really nice.
I was crossing out the exit door of the venue and Greg Graffin and the BR's manager were standing just there and the manager said: "hey greg, did you see how this girl kicked asses in the pit and the stage? what a bouncer!" so G.Graffin said:"yes, i love this girl! mainly cause she is wearing a RISSON's t-shirt!" so he told me the story about the NFL player, Risson, and we kept chatting for some minutes, finally he singed my BR'ticket and said goodbye.

here one of my fav pics from that unforgetable show:

here I'm at the office so boring.... it's cloudy and seems is going to rain.... fuck I hate days like this.
well right now I'm lil' bit fucked up cause yesterday I got an argument on the phone with my mom. She was visiting us this last weekend, and seems like she saw the tattoos on my ankles and calves... she told me that she didn't said anything about it at home cause there was a friend of her with us, therefore she phoned me and started to yelling me about "what hell i got tattoos, cause that's not what a lady has to have in her skin and it's not well seen by other people"...
but I don't care i'll keep on getting tattoos even if she gets so angry as hell. this same happened when she saw my first tattoo... so i think it's just an issue of time that she's pissed off now and on next weeks she will be nice again.

this next thursday will be playing in Barcelona. MELTDOWN + BITTER END and 50 LIONS. This show is setting up by Raul and Jaume (x812x CREW) Julio and Shannon (xCounterx crew)... Raul asked me about designing a flyer for the show, and one night talking about the flyer he said that something about MARIO BROS could be good (he's a nintendo's freak) so I did it:

this june is the best month os show in Barcelona:
June 19: BAD RELIGION!!!
June 25: NEGATIVE APPROACH!!!!!!!!!

I CAN WAIT! two of my fav bands in the few days... I don't if i'll survive from these shows.

I've started to read ALL AGES again.... I love this book ever.

What i'm listing in these last days:

one of my current fav bands.... it's pity to know they have broken up.

10:36 pm - always good times
Last weekend was the Bella Mafia festival. We put up this festival to promote the female involved in hardcore-punk bands and stand against patriarchy. We had a good time with the bands which played and the people who came to the show and supported it.I finished the night so tired, it is what happen when you are part of the crew of the festival, you have to play in one of the bands, being at the door for the tickets, being at the merch table and many things to do. however, it was a great noon-night. The band from France, ATTENTAT SONORE was nice to see 'em at live, good performance and nice people. Also THE CAPACES which was one the local bands but I have never had the chance to see 'em at shows.
here some pics:

Sunday, I set up a surprise dinner with some friends for Jaume's 30rd birthday (which exactly date is today, May 27th). I supposed to be a meeting with Jaume's best friend and bandmates: Raul and David. Jaume asked me about that he hoped that no one else would be there, cause he does not like to do this kind of things. So as some days ago I did a reserve of a table for 12 people, when we arrived to the restaurant I said: "I'm Michelle Olaya and there's a table for me" and the waitress said: "oh yes, the table for the 12 people?" So Jaume who was behind me and saw the kids on the table said: "oh no! you have lied me!" And it was funny to see all our friends trying to hide themselves behind the menu hahaha
Later to dinning we were chating and I had another surprise to Jaume: HARRY POTTER's magic wand, casue he loves HP. He was so happy and our friends having fun seeing his face of happiness with his gift.

10:37 pm - shows, bday, fun, laughs and more good shit
Last weekend is was so fucking good. last saturday I had one of my best' bday celebration. I played with my band, I met good new fellas, i saw some old ones that I have been a long time without see 'em. One of my good hommies, Toni, came from his city Valencia to the show.
The guys from the bands that we shared the stage: STATE MURDERS and TRUTH THROUGH FIGHT are so fucking nice kids. The vibe at the show was absolutely amazing. I had a good time playing and partying that night.

We started our weekend of two shows, last friday. First we played in Castellon, a small city which is 3 hours from Barcelona. The venue was a small pub. It had a tiny stage. We shared the night with a hard rock&roll band. They were nice guys. When we played the people became nuts. There were around 30-40 people (cause the place is just for that number of people). After we played some people came to us to say how they loved the show and they were amazed to see a band of ladies rocking hard, cause not many ladies are into our music style. There were some guys who came to ask me: "how fuck do you that vocals when you sing?????? when you speak normal your voice sounds so "softy", it's amazing!" I just do my best and sing as I can.
The guys who help us up setting up the show are good hommies who play in a band called OPPUGNO. We spent a good time with some of 'em: Raul, Dani and Gretel. They brang us a delicious dinner: Vegetarian Fideua (fideua: it's a typical mediterranean meal from the area of valencia-catalonia)
Later we were partying in the village where Raul and Gretel lives.
Our journey in the car was full of fun. Singing, sleeping, eating. I recorded some videos with my mobile' camera and with Sylv' photo camera. I hope to up load 'em soon.
We arrived to Murcia, saturday' noon. We met with Borja, the dude who set up the show and also is the drummer of one theband that we shared the stage, STAE MURDERS. We ran to the venue. This one was huge and a lil' bit "fashion" but nice. Around 21pm we went to Borja's home to dinner. There were the guys of TRUTH THROUGH FIGHT, who some of 'em a good friends of mine. So the dinner was absolutely delicious. everything was vegetarian.
I phoned my brother to ask him if he would come to the show, but he told me that he had not car so he couldn't make it. I couldn't see my niece Sara, this is the bad side of my weekend.
Anyway, so 22pm and we ran back to the venue. Toni phoned me to ask where fuck we were cause he and his friend arrived to the venue and we were not there. So we arrived there and met him.
At 23:30pm the show started by STATE MURDERS. their music is so good. it's in the vein of HATEBREED. The crowd supported 'em a lot. They had a good show. Though I couldn't watch all the perfomance cause I had to stay at door selling tickets and Jaume and Toni as doormen. hahaha
Later was our turn. I was so excited. Cause before we started to play my homegirls and bandmates and jaume sang me the "happy bday" song. We put our party caps. So we started to play and after teh first song some kids moved their asses dancing with us. it was so good cause we saw hc kids, metal kids even skinhead kids having fun while we played. We finished playing CRO-MAGS' cover and people did a good feedback.
TRUTH THROUGH FIGHT' performance was so rad. They are good kids and play a good music with a nice message. I enjoyed a lot their show. The crowd became nuts with 'em. They played a couple of covers, the good one was "YOUNG TILL I DIE" of 7 SECONDS. I t was the great moment of the night.
So after the shows we were partying, dancing like sillies, and chating with some fellas.

We went to sleep around 06am. i was so tired but it was an amazing night.

Last saturday Jaume and me torn into our 5th year sharing our lives. It's so good. I feel so happy and pleased with him (though sometimes he makes me feel angry as hell cause he's a bit lazy). So to celebrate our day we decided to go to a cool american-italian restaurant which is close to our home: FRANKIE & BENNY'S. I love this place, it's so retro and they play cool music from the 30 and 40's.

I got new ink on my skin, and one of these tattoos is related with my relation-ship with Jaume, and the another one is clear that's about one of my fav hc bands and one of best hc songs ever:

I can't wait for this next weekend. Mainly for the show on saturday in Murcia cause i'll celebrate my 25th birthday there! I phoned my brother (who lives in this city) about he has to be at the show, though he is not into hardcore music (he's into hip hop), cause i would like to be with him in my birthday, so he said that he will be there. I hope so bro!

I've been a lot listening 80's pop music and one of my faves artists from that decade is Cindy Lauper, i think this song is so fucking good cause it reminds me about someone who I have in my mind lately:

TRUE COLORS - CINDY LAUPER
You with the sad eyes
Don't be discouraged, though i realize it's hard to
take courage in a world, full of people,
you can lose sight of it
And the darkness inside you
will make you feel so small

But I see your true colors, shining through
I see your true colors, and that's why I love you
So don't be afraid, to let them show
Your true colors, true colors
Are beautiful, like a rainbow

Show me a smile, don't be unhappy
I can't remember when i last saw you laughing
If this world makes you crazy and
you've taken in all you can bare
You call me up- because you know I'll be there

I can't remember when I last saw you laughing
If this world makes you crazy
and you take in all you can bare
You call me up- because you know I'll be there

And I see your true colors, shining through
I see your true colors and thats why I love you
So don't be afraid to let them show
Your true colors, true colors,
True colors, are shining through
I see your true colors and that's why i love you
So don't be afraid to let them show
Your true colors, true colors
Are beautiful, like a rainbow

12:12 am - many things
Ok these next days are going to be so stressing.

Next week, exactly friday 16th and saturday 17th i'm going to play with my band. We have been a while without playing cause our bassist is in Costa Rica enjoying the sun-the beach-the coconuts- the surf and his "job". He is coming back august '08. So while he's there with the monkeys and he comes back, Ioly, who is the sister of our drummer (Sylv), is helping us on the bass.
We have to play in Castellon on friday and saturday in Murcia (south-east of Spain). I'm so happy about to play in that city cause there was where I was living for 2 years before I came to live to Barcelona. There in Murcia I have good friends and some 'em have sent me message about they're happy to know i'm going to play with my band. Also it's an excited show cause sunday 18th is my 25th bday, so we're going to celebrate it at the show. That's awesome.

The big day is coming: May 24th, BELLA MAFIA HC-PUNK FEST. We are very excited and stressed about this fest. We have put all our efforts to do the things well, though shitty things have happened and some friendly relationships are not working good at all.

I'm working on CLITOCORE ZINE ISSUE NÂș5. Modeling and translating interviews-reviews and so on. Elena is busy with her personal affairs so I have to be on charge of all editing stuff. The most worry thing about this is have the zine ready for May 24th cause beside of the fest, it's the fanzine' release show.

THE DEFENSE (my boyfriend's band) has already their new shit out, a 7 inch titled "COMMON SENSE" and released again by CRUCIAL RESPONSE RECORDS from Germany. Hope they can have the attention that they deserve with this record.
here the AD that i designed as promo:

This next May 10th, Jaume and me turn 5 years of relation-ship. It's a lot of time. it's the first time that I stand too much time with somebody. we have had our arguements and so, but we never had big fights, have been cheated or other shitty things in our relation, what's cool and not at all, cause someday one of us can be fed up and explode like a fucking bomb. Jaume is one of the most important person in my life, i love him, though i'm conscious of that one day it could change suddenly. no one knows what could happen tomorrow or past tomorrow or in next 2, 3 or 5 years. Fate is the most unexpected thing ever.

08:04 pm - my weekend in France (Free Edge fest)
ok, it has taken me several days to edit the pics and write down (at the office) how was my experience in France, so here it comes:
Well, my journey began on the evening of friday 25th cause I got to take the airplane in Girona's airport, so in took a train from Barcelona to Girona and in one hour and 20 minutes i arrived there. My mom and a friend of her came to pick me up. We arrived to my uncle and aunt's home and started to check out the pics that my mom shot in her 12 days in Ecuador for my grandpa's funeral. I was so sad to see those pics but at same time it was good, you know, cause it's nice to see those relatives who are so far from me at least thru a picture. 7 years away from them is too much time so you could understand how I feel about it.
At midnight I went to sleep and cause my flight departure was at 06.50am. I woke up at 04:15am and i got ready all my stuff. My uncle Edison and my mom carried me to the airport. I was so nervous about the flight cause I had to do the check in On-line but that's just able to people with an European passport and as I haven't it, i thought it could be a problem but fortunately it was not thus. So everything was right with the check-in, just to pay the taxes. I said goodbye to my mom and my uncle and I got into the departure gate.
The flight was 1 hour and 30 minutes. I played on my mp3 player and listened music, I fell slept what was good cause at least I could rest a lil' more. I arrived at Paris-Beauvais at 08:35am. So I ran to take the bus from the airport to Paris. That trip was of 1 hour and 20 minutes. I fell slept again, so as I knew that i could happen i put the alarm in my mobile.
I arrived to Paris and ran to take the metro to the train station, Paris-Montparnesse. I was there at 10.30am so as I did the reservation of my train ticket for 12:00am but I had some troubles to get the ticket from the automatic machine so I couldn't take the train of 11am. So i was waiting around 45 minutes at the train station, I was hungry and I was looking for something to eat, but everything was weird french sandwiches with chicken, cheese or jam, that sucks! At least in Spain, they have the "TORTILLA DE PATATAS". I sent a message to Jaume(my boyfriend) telling about this and he just said "that's france, what else you expect? hahaha"
So it was 12am and I got in to the train. The trip was 50 minutes and at the Le Mans train station and my friend Laurenline, from a Dijon(France) came with her boyfriend and couple of friends to pick me up. So we ran to the hostel to leave our bags there. Later, we went to the venue. I was such a sunny day, everybody was outside the venue drinking and having good time. We were chilling for a while on the grass, taking the sun and waiting for the 2nd band which has to play. That band was BAXTER, which played melodic hcpunk. We were watching the band some minutes and we went outside for a lunch. After a 15 minutes of break, we came back to the venue and watch the next band, which I didn't like so I decided to be outside. We were chilling again on grass and shooting silly pics.

Time for the next band ALL AGAINST THE WORLD, a hc band from Portugal, which was so good. I liked their music, it was more or less in the vein of COMEBACK KID first record.
Next band was PROVIDENCE from Paris and played somekinda of beatdown style. I watched them for a while, but I'm not too much into this kind of bands; so in the middle of a song the vocalist threw small papers to the crowd, so those papers said: THIS IS PARIS, GET VIOLENT. PROVIDENCE. It was so funny, I took of those papers as "souvenirs" to my friends in Barcelona who "love beatdown".

Ok, later came the turn of FIRE AT WILL (if i'm not wrong) which plays melodic hc, and later NINE ELEVEn. I remembered that both bands played in Barcelona last january when they played with SHATTERED REALM and my boyfriend's band. I shot some pics. Both bands had a good performance and feedback from the crowd.
FIRE AT WILL

NINE ELEVEN

So while there was the stand-by for next band, I checked out the merch-tables of distros and bands. I saw some interesting stuff. I just trade zines and bought DTN's longsleeve. I met on NO TURNING BACK's merch-guy,Theon, who is a really nice guy that I met him a couple years ago when my band shared the stage with NTB.
Next band was some called NONE SHALL BE SHAVED, another french band which played a sound in the vein of SKARHEAD. I liked this band, so I decided to shoot some pics. The pit was full of kids moshing hard and doing weird things while they were dancing: like if they were swimming, other like if they were rowing a boat, or like bull and bullfighter.
(this pic was not taken by me.)

The best thing of this band was when they were playing the last song, everybody got the stage, they took down the barricade (btw, THE BAD THING OF THE FESTIVAL!) and started to mosh and jump like crazy bad-ass.

The next band, AGUIRRE, the most boring and weird band ever. So I decided to be outside talking and having good time with Laurenline and a couple of new friends that I met there: Stephanie and Stephane, who are a couple from Limoges(France)and photographers. We were making jokes, talking about our shitty languages and so on.

So when me and Laurenline decided to come back to the venue after Aguirre finished their perfomance. When I was crossing the door I saw my friend Herald, aka xdirtyharryx. I always met him at shows when he's as roadie of BORN FROM PAIN, these last two times that I've seen him it has been with TERROR (last year in Barcelona and now in France). So we say hello and chatting. He asked me when I arrived and so on, and asked for other spanish kids and I said that I came to the fest alone. He was wondered about it and said: "really? are you crazy?". Ok, so I asked him for Scott(Vogel) cause I had something to give him (some deal that we set about t-shirts stuff) and Herald said: "uhmm, what you have for him? uh?" and I said: "hey, don't think evil!". Then we said to talk later.
Ok, this time the turn is for CRUEL HAND. This band was one which I really was expected to check out at live cause I've listened 'em before some mp3 but never checked out the whole record. One cool thing while CRUEL HAND played was to see some guys of DOWN TO NOTHING, MILES AWAY and TERROR being part of the crowd. Before C.H. started to play I was next to the stage and I saw Scott, so we said hello and I told him about that thing that I had to give him. We said to talk later, cause the music didn't allow us to listen each other. I shot few pics cause they were playing so fucking awesome, so I gave my camera back to Laurenline and got into the crowd for having fun, and believe me, i'm not disappointed. The finished playing a CRO-MAGS' cover, "WORLD PEACE" and with that they stole my heart.

Cruel Hand' perfomance finished and I ran outside the venue to take some fresh air cause I was so exhausted. I was with Laurenline checking out the pics, so we decided to come back to the venue. We were talking and suddenly I saw Scott coming to us and he said: "You owe me something", and i said: "yes, I owe you something, cause a deal is a deal here you are your t-shirt". He was opening the bag and said: "this is like christmas!" and it was a GANG STARR t-shirt. (exactly this one: http://www.hhv.de/images/cover6/61390_1.jpg). He loved it and was very happy cause Gang Starr is one his fav hip hop band ever, I was so glad to see him so happy and grateful. He was like a kid when receive his most expected christmas' gift. So we were chating for a while, then he asked me about how many people came from spain so I said him: "just one, me!", so he said: "really?, so are you ok? have you a place where to stay? I want to be sure that you are safe" then I said to him thanks for worry about my person, that I was ok, iwas hosted in a hostel where I shared a room with my friend and her boyfriend. It was so nice from his part to care about me, and it's so good i can count on this kind of friend. So he ran to the backstage to put the t-shirt in a safe place and we said to talk later. So then I met Robin, NO TURNING BACK's drummer and who is a nice guy, we were chatting and later he was asked to do some stuff.

MILES AWAY started to play. They are from Australia and were on tour with CRUEL HAND. It was a good show though they didn't impressed me at all. They played an IN MY EYES' cover, "TAKE THE RISK" which was the only moment that I shake my bones with them.

Here comes one of the best moment of the night, DOWN TO NOTHING. I had a really good time watching 'em playing cause their show was an absolutely blast. Everybody dancing, stagediving, singingalonging. Good vibes. I met Scott in the crowd, he said me: "they are awesome, one of my current fav bands". We spent a good time. I think DTN is one of the best hc bands nowadays, with a really good performance, high energy and a very good message in their lyrics. For example I love "higher learning" and "serve and neglect" from their album "the most", so listening those songs at live was so fucking good. No pics of this band cause i prefered enjoy the whole show, but I found some pics taken by a french girl, and here a pic where I appear:

DTN finished and I needed to take fresh air again. I ran to take some water and chill. This time was the turn of NO TURNING BACK. I was in the TERROR' merch table cause i was chatting with Herald, who told me that Scott was so happy cause the t-shirt. So suddenly came Scott doing some funny things. I was shooting pics to DirtyHarry and then came Nick(Terror).

NTB started play. I just was shooting pics cause I was so tired to shake my bones. As always NTB had a very good show, and as next day I had to see them again in Barcelona, I decided just watch and shoot pics.

Last band of the night: TERROR. Everybody was excited. Some people wanted to take the barricade off but it couldn't be able. Some "bodyguards" were there watching out. So TERROR started to play. Everybody becoming nuts. People trying to do stagedives in some way possible (I was one of those crazy bad-ass). I got a lot of bruises cause the barricade, but I didn't care, even I didn't care about my knee (cause I got the meniscus of my left's leg broken and i have to watch out about it). So when they finished the first song Scott shout out: "I hate this fucking shit, I hate barricades. Come and take this shit off, come to the stage, I need more stagedives." Most of the TERROR' set list was absolutely amazing, good shit from LOWEST OF THE LOW, ONE WITH THE UNDERDOGS, ALWAYS THE HARD WAY and one track from their new album, and I liked it. But one song that makes me feel excited it's ALWAYS THE HARD WAY, i feel so identified with that liryc cause soemthing similar has happened to me. So the whole show was absolutely rad. (though my fav Terror' show was the first time they played in Barcelona. A show that I won't forget in my life)

Ok, the fest was over. i felt so tired (normal, if I was awoken from 04:am until that hour!) and hungry. I was chatting with my friends Steph and Stephane. They asked me if I would be interested to be a part of their team of photography web site, and of course I was so glad about it. Then we said good-bye and I met to Robin again. We were chatting for a while. I met one of the guys who set up the fest, Richard, who helped me out a lot thru email the previous days to the fest, he was such a nice guy. Laurenline came to say that we gotta go to the hostel. So I ran to say good-bye to DirtyHarry and Scott, who was with David-DTN. we were talking a bit. It was some kinda funny cause Scott said: "btw, did you receive the shirt that I sent you?" me: "yes, it just received yesterday. though it fits me a lil' big, you know." he said:"yeah, you are so skinny!". So i said that I gotta go cause I had to wake up early in the morning to take the train to Paris and so on, and then David asked me: "where are you from?" me: I'm natural from Ecuador, but I live in Barcelona-Spain. So I'll see you tomorrow there again" and he was so pleased, and then Scott said: "Ecuador? We are going to play there in may!" me: "I know it, dude! that's awesome you are gonna play in my homeland. I would love to be there!"
Then we shot some silly pics as somekinda of keepsake and say "C'YA SOON"

Next morning, 09:30am I say goodbye to Laurenline, her boyfriend Oli and the other kids. I took tha train and I slept. I arrived to Paris at 10:30 so as I had not to take the bus to the airport until 13pm so I checked out if I had enough time to go to EIFFEL TOWER and it was possible. I was there shooting pics. I seat for a moment and observe the tower. I felt so pleased. though there was something that I missed, but I didn't know wha exactly. it was a really weird feeling.

Good bye France

I arrived to Girona and my family came to pick me up to take the train to Barcelona. I arrived at 20:00pm and I met Jaume in the metro station and went straightly to the venue where DTN & NTB had to play (cause it was so next to my home). I was so fucking tired but it didn't matter. If you love something does not matter the hours of journey, the no sleep time, the bruises and pain in your body for being in the crowd.
Some of my hommies at the show in Barcelona asked me why I went to France alone, if I was crazy or something like that, most of them, my homegirls telling: "i wouldn't dare to that thing", and what I think it's ridiculous, if you want to do something just follow your heart and your feelings and don't depend of someone else, and as L7' song said: "She got so much clit, she no need balls".
I just have to say that I really loved this experience. I would repeat once again cause the good time shared with such nice friends at that fest is something that is in my mind and my heart, cause they have made me feel better about my grandfather' dead (I have been so sad these last days about my grandpa', even that I've lost weight).
In resume: HC - GOOD FRIENDS - GOOD TIMES.

and as always the whole photo album:
