I started getting a cold friday night! I've been pretty sick since, but on Saturday I still walked to the store in the rain to get cold medicine and tissues (and a few other things for the household) because I am pretty insane. Actually I really needed the tissues and medicine and didn't realize it was raining until I opened the door to leave. (I know, I should have sent Michelle! ;D )

The annoyance is that while sick my lungs hurt worse now that I quit smoking than they did when I still smoked. It is making the cigarette counter at the store look friendly really. (So does the idea of trying some out here!) I can't though.. I must resist. I don't get cravings very often though. Usually only when I walk past the counter in the store or after eating dinner. The rest of the time I don't really crave it for the most part.

Friday we got the tickets to the expo at the end of the month in London. I haven't done much else really yet aside from eating different types of food and just chilling (lol irony it's cold out here too) in the house. I need to nag Michelle and/or her bro to take me to a pub! Hopefully one with a british pool table so I can get a picture of it. I know the pub down the street has a pool table or something, but I don't want to go by myself. Michelle claims it's full of old men too, although I see some guys smoking outside that are probably younger than me.

Next week I'll probably go into the actual city of Edinburgh. We have to in order to buy coach (bus) tickets for the journey to London anyway.

Today is the first day I've noticed it raining, and it's storming pretty bad right now. I think I've finally settled in a bit here and that is a nice thing. Oddly from what I've seen, Scotland reminds me a lot of New England.. specifically Newport, RI. If you've never been there, then you suck.

I am going to get sooo fat! I thought I'd lose weight here, but I find myself trying everything to see how it tastes and I don't get anymore exercise than usual right now even if every other day I'm walking to the grocery store for one reason or another.

I CANNOT FIND LIQUID CREAMER! What atrocity is this?! How can there be no liquid creamer! Powdered is just nasty most of the time.

I saw a lebanese and a malaysian restaurant that I want to go to at some point in Edinburgh. More food for me to eat, at least then I'd be walking around too. My mom should be outraged that I'm willingly washing dishes to help out. Haha! She can't even pay me to do that at home without whining.

So here's what's up. I was about to save this super awesome icon I made that took a long time and a lot of editing of images and textures etc and PS stops responding. Ok. That sucks. *wait* Still no response. *tries to minimize and play in another window* Fail. *Ctrl-Alt-Del* Nothing. *hit keys repeatedly in annoyance* Nothing. *swear profusely and stare at all the unsavable windows* Makes me feel a tad better at the loss. *hit reset button on pc*

UNABLE TO BOOT, INSERT FLOPPY.

You know, I don't own one for XP because as far as I know you can't make one. (And all my searching on this pc I'm using now seems to confirm that.)

Now the real crap is that I do not have my XP install disc anymore. I have not seen it since before Chris moved out. (And consequently I have his, which is possibly useless since I have Pro and he had Home.)

So I swipe the Dell recovery disc for my mom's old PC, which is the only other one in the house with Pro. Thank god I can still remember DOS. (I miss you DOS.) Yay recovery console DOS prompt. It's been a good three or so hours and I am still running chkdsk on my boot drive. >:| If it drops back to 50% again from 75% I'm going to hurt things.

WHY THOUGH? I DIDN'T MEAN TO KICK THE BABY ACROSS THE STREET!

I leave the country *tomorrow* and I do not have TIME for this shit. (But I don't want to leave it until I return as it will eat at me on vacation and I will cry upon return.)

I just wanted to make the pretty icon in between packing. :(

I'm going to take a stab that either I will have to remake the boot sector or I somehow have a virus from the files I never downloaded since I last ran a virus scan. (Although I think it runs a quick one on startup.. but we know I only reboot like twice a month.) I can access my boot drive in recovery console so thankfully it's not a HD failure.

Oh. And my dad's response to the problem? "You're computer is old anyway." I sneered, since it's not like anyone is going to buy me a NEW one. I only need a new motherboard and cpu anyway.. some day I'll be able to spend the $150 for that..

Apparently this is what I am to some people that I consider significant. I had a long talk today with a friend about my thoughts and feelings of this, and to her sadness all she could offer was more proof that I was indeed insigificant to the mentioned persons. It's sad really, that I could hold people in such high regard and shit we do doesn't really matter. It's pathetic that I consider things important only to find out that I'm the only one that feels that way.

I realize now what a tool I've made myself look like by caring when others don't. Everyone mentioned reads this journal. I hope you feel like a tool for not caring when I thought otherwise.

Also, I wish Tashi would come back! I miss her and I leave for Scotland soon. Her absence makes me sad.

Earlier today I discovered I might be hospitalized. My parents are worried about me and how sick I've been. It's probably a surprise to anyone who only interacts with me online though. I don't like people worrying over me so I have a tendancy to not talk about things like my health.

Then again, my general temperment has been off lately even online. Not as calm and a bit more mean. I've also hit woah levels of paranoia and anxiety, which have probably been noticeable, if not annoying, to those close to me.

And there is no denying I have lost 12 lbs in just the last 6 days. Not that I mind that! XD Even if it's unhealthy.

I guess yesterday and today have been worse though. I've mostly slept today. I'd get up, find no need to stay up, and go back to sleep. Aka, Michi never logged on!

Wee.. Ser has returned! It was AMAZING and AWESOME. So much freakin fun, especially hanging out with fellow OA members Stef, Dela, and Rieka! It makes me even more giddy for going to the London Expo in Oct with Michelle and Roxas and the OA gathering Alex is putting together in Feb at Katsucon. (Which btw, if you want to have an awesome weekend in Feb, get ahold of her for details after the horse show nationals! -aka after July 21st-)

Just as a friendly service announcement, my whole mind and body is out of whack and probably will be for the rest of the week. The Expo didn't really let me keep to my normal eat, sleep, and med schedule. So in a sense, I have not fully returned. XD I apologize if I'm cranky, moody, a total wank, and/or collapse and pass out in the middle of talking. *noms michelle* Shit I kept falling asleep on my poor girlfriend today. ;D

On a totally different note.. when did western PA become temperate rainforest? I swear the last month has been monsoon season or something, and we don't get that! Rain. 5-6 days a week. It's horrible!
