went to Wal-Mart and got my exclusive metallic Spider-man 3 black suit Spidey and movie Venom figures this morning. Venom's hangin out on our lamp. :D

I was checking my Yahoo mail yesterday when I stumbled across this GREAT ad for McDonalds. This ad is a GREAT example of awsome design, awsome photography and a real great selling point to sell a sandwich. To believe this got through and was approved as an ad is obvious, its just so GREAT!

Well I officially just got a new position at a new company with a substantial raise, doing what I actually went to college for, graphic and web design! Im so excited i cant wait, its with a company thats been around for 10 years, they are restructuring everything and I will be the first designer and eventually the head of the entire department, I will also have input and some control over how the new building is spoofed and decorated up, including plasma TV's etc to make it really look cool. The thing that made me really proud was that they said the main reason they wanted me, aside from my technical ability, is that they saw I had a strong love for this stuff, I do it even when Im not working, and they recognize that when ive got the right opportunity, thats going to come through in what I do, something that my current position would never have even listened to. Its going to be a huge departure from what ive been doing for the past year and a half, basically maintaining content for a gigantic website, converting data, boring stuff. But on the same hand, without that position, I wouldnt have been able to move out of living with my father and Robyn and I wouldnt have been able to get our own place and get engaged. The future looks really bright, I cant wait!

I just got engaged. Robyn and I have been dating for 20 months and today, at midnight, was her 23rd birthday, and we had been talking about it in the past, but I decided it was the perfect time to do it. I wrote out her birthday card, and at the end of it, asked her to marry me, then got on my knee and asked her myself. She said yes and its now an hour or so later. Im horrible with words and will probably read this later and go wtf was i writing, but i just wanted to let all of my friends i havent seen or talked to forever know, i know i havent been posting half as much as I should, i had to share this though! AHHHH I'm ENGAGED!
