Onions, untitled drabble and NaNoWriMo, plus intermittent coughs.
Oww. I just coughed so hard I nearly threw up.
The Orion Awards forums are so much fun. Lily's newbie thread has been infected with Spam. We've all rambled on so much that our replies have become huge and we nearly can't fit them into the 10,000 character limit! We just keep spamming back and forth. And we have generally agreed that Spam in a newbie thread is Okay, because general chatter helps people to get to know you. We're also completely addicted to strikeout and our replies are something like 90% struckout.
Also today I finished this drabble about Juliet and Butler. I really can't think of what to call it though.

Butler suddenly noticed his three-year-old sister was cheerily drawing all over herself with biro. "Juliet," he said slowly, "what are you doing?"
She beamed. "Drawing!"
"I can see that. Why are you drawing on yourself?"
“Because then I'll be like you!”
Butler realised then that she was drawing little blue diamonds. He wondered at her childish adoration for the very thing that would take away her innocence. You don't want to be like me, he thought. But he said nothing. She wouldn't understand yet.
"Come on," he said, taking her hand, "let's wash this off before Mummy sees."

I quite like the sentiments of it but now, looking at it again, I think in getting it to 100 words I may have cut too close to the bone... I think it jumps too quickly from dialogue to Butler's thoughts, and then away again.
Oh, and earlier, Dad asked me if I'd heard of NaNoWriMo. o.O; Then he asked if I was taking part. (And the answer is: probably not. I can't really justify writing 1700 words a day when I have A Level work to do. Maybe 500. Maybe.) So, yeah, all's well in the land of random.
