Stargate's Davis Is Dead

Gateworld reported that Don S. Davis, who played Maj. Gen. George Hammond on SCI FI Channel's Stargate SG-1 for seven seasons, died June 29 after suffering a heart attack. He was 65.

Citing Davis' wife, Ruby Fleming-Davis, the site reported that a family memorial will take place in a few weeks, during which Davis' ashes will be scattered in the ocean; fans were asked to make memorial donations to the American Heart Association.

Davis left the regular cast of SG-1 in 2003 because of a medical condition that restricted his workload, but he made several guest appearances on the show and its spinoff, Stargate Atlantis.

A native of Missouri, Davis had a 26-year career that included many roles on TV series, notably Maj. Garland Briggs on Twin Peaks. He met SG-1 co-star Richard Dean Anderson on the set of MacGyver, on which he worked as a stunt double for actor Dana Elcar.

Davis' final Stargate appearance is in Stargate: Continuum, the upcoming straight-to-DVD movie. He will also appear in the films Vipers, Woodshop and Far Cry.

On a lighter note, I saw Hancock today and that movie ROCKED!!!  Had a GREAT plot with an awesome plot twist!  XD

I wouldn't mind if they made a sequel.  ^___^

Um, lets see.   Movies I've recently watched. 
Iron Man- KICKED ASS!!!!  Saw it twice.  Loved it.  Can't wait til its on DVD.
Indiana Jones: Temple of the Crystal Skull- Interesting plot.  INTERESTING..... never imagined that's what it's be.  But I liked it.  I saw it twice.  Might see it again since I promised someone I'd see it with them.  ^^;
Kung Fu Panda- Awesomeness!!!!  XD  I laughed a lot.
Incredible Hulk- I liked it.  Edward Norton is a good actor.
The Happening- so NOT happening.  Worst of his movies.  Worse than the Village.  Blargh.  Don't recommend this movie to people.  T_T

I'm actually going to see the midnight show of Wall-E tonight.    ^____^  Seems like only Andrea will go with me.  I owe her some money, so I'll buy her ticket.  ^_^

Been working a lot lately.  A LOT.  Six to seven days a week.  *dies*  But I'm still poor as hell.  Stupid bills.  Stupid parents who ask for money every week.  >.<

My dad bought a car for $100.  Sweet deal.  A 1995 Mitsubishi Galant.  And its MINE.  I claimed it.  Don't like my '95 Pontiac Grand Am.  Even tho its purple.....  =___=

Stupid sister got into a car accident.  Someone hit her.  Then they got out of their car and ran away.  O_o  They got caught tho.  And my sister the idiot had NO INSURANCE.  >.<  I wonder about her sometimes.....

And because the stupid sister got into a car accident, I have to lend her MY car.  WTF!!  My mom claims its technically HER car, but I pay the damn insurance on it.  So I say its mine.  Whatev tho.  Soon I'll have the Galant once its up and running.  Just needed a water pump.  And mebbe some new tires.  Otherwise, its nice.

UGH!!!!!  I want to move OUT!  I pay a shitload to my parents.  I pay the cable/internet bill, my insurance on the car (which is coming up), most of the cell phone bill.  Not to mention I do my parents "favors".  I get their prescriptions, I buy them groceries, I babysit the kids.  Do I ask for favors in return?  No.  Do I ask for reimbursement? No.   Yet they expect me to lend them money so they can give it to my brother for gas.   I think not!  Mr. I don't pay for my brand new car, for my tuition, or for my car insurance.   Yet if my brother lends money to my parents, he is quick to expect it back.  bastard.

Enough of a rant.  I'm going back to reading. 

Final note: Kori is in town!!!!!  ^__________________^     I'm so happy!!!!!  Hopefully we can go out to eat tomorrow night, seeing as how my work schedule SUCKS.  T__T

Also, I"m almost done getting all of Doctor Who.  I've watched all of the first three seasons and I absolutely LOVE the tenth Doctor!!!!!  XD   David Tennant is GREAT!!!!!  And Captain Jack Harkness Rocks!!!!!!  XD   I've seen the first two discs of Torchwood and now I'm hooked.  I'm just waiting to see more of Ianto.  ^//^

Now I'm happy.  I'm going to read more of my Supernatural fanfic.  ^_~

3:59pm: ACEN, Doctor Who, and Torchwood
I slowly lost my mind Friday.  I went to ACEN (Anime Central) this past weekend.  I had already pre-registered, just had to pay.  Got in line at like 11:40am OUTSIDE the Rosemont.  They had two lines once you got INSIDE, one for those who pre-registered, one for those who hadn't.  THEN THEY MERGED BOTH LINES!!!!!  T__T  Because all the computers were down.  All of them.  So you couldn't register, couldn't pay with a credit card, nothing.  Had to pay in cash and they pretty much just wrote your name down to "put in the system later".  Even the printers weren't working so they wrote my name on my badge.  T_T

SEVEN AND A HALF HOURS IN LINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  *died*  I had written Aya a death note while waiting in line, no pun intended.  I'll try to post it later.  My FAVORITE friend Andrea waiting in line with me the whole time, even tho she already had her badge.  ^_^;  I LOVE YOU!!!!!  So after I got my badge we went to Tori's house, to watch DOCTOR WHO!!!!!!!!!!!  WOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 

I love the tenth Doctor, he's hot and funneh.  ^__^  AND I absolutely LOVE and ADORE Captain Jack.  ^//^

Love it.  So then on Saturday I went dressed as a Pirate, with my corset I bought last year at ACEN and with my Indiana Jones hat I bought at Blockbuster.  I only took one picture of myself *tear* but its an ok picture.



lolz  You can see my ghetto name tag.  We're in a restaurant here.  Spent prolly 30 minutes looking for it using the map in the booklet for ACEN.  Turned out the restaurant was CONNECTED to the room we were in!!!!!  >.<   Stupid inaccurate map.....  All that unnecessary walking.....

So my rule this year was NO MANGA.  Can buy that at Borders.  So I bought cards, for Serenity and Season 1 of Supernatural.  XD   And I bought the first two DVDs of Wallflower.  YAY!!!!!  I watched the first episode.... then we went back to Doctor Who.  I finished season 1 because I wanted to see the Tenth Doctor.  LOVE HIM!!!!!

And Captain Jack.... Andrea and I agreed that anyone named Captain Jack is automatically awesome.  ^//^  I'm now watching Torchwood because of him.  I love the fact that he flirts with anyone.  Men and Women.  lolz   Every time he says hello to someone the Doctor tells him to stop it.

They JUST announced earlier this week that Jensen and Jared will be at the November convention in Chicago, and they are ALREADY SOLD OUT OF GOLD WEEKEND PACKAGES!!!!  O_o   Wow.

But luckily my friend and I bought ours last year.  ^___________^   Woot Woot!!!!

So excited!!!  I cannot WAIT for it!!!!!  XD

Luckily I got ACEN this weekend.  And the guy who played the second Red Ranger, Rocky, who then became the blue Ranger will be there.  As well as Tommy!!!!!  Who played the Green Ranger, then the White Ranger.  ^//^   LOL   So awesome.

I'm trying to get my outfit ready for ACEN.  I want to go as a Pirate on Saturday.  Mebbe Sunday too.  I found a cute white shirt I've never used before.  Has shiny gems on it.  Woot Woot!  lolz  Gonna wear my black/gray corset that I bought at last year's convention.  And my mom got me cute black boots that look like pirate boots.  ^^;  She adds to my obsessions. 

I prolly won't have much money for ACEN... gonna have enough for my weekend pass.... mebbe a new sword..... manga or two.... we'll see.  I'm trying to save money to buy two tickets to the Stargate Convention in August.  One for my and one for my friend, since she bough both of our tickets for Supernatural.  ^_^ 

Blargh, I'm tired....  Went to the Woodfield mall with Aya.  She auditioned for some MTV show for girls who want to be models and want to lose weight.  We ate at Todai's first.  Love that place.  SUSHI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Then we went to Mitsuwa.  Got some coffee candy.  Pocky.  Chocolate koalas.  Cool bread from the bakery.

That paramedic is so stupid.  House obviously has a concussion.  That's why he ended up at a strip club.

Watched Iron Man again.  Love that movie.  Robert Downey Jr. is AWESOME as John Stark.  Guy's arrogant and cocky, and he played it perfectly.  lolz

I also like him in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.  That movie is high-larious.  ^^;

Ooh!  Iron Man 2 is set to come out like April 30th, 2010.  Woot Woot!!!

AND Boondock Saints 2: All Saints Day got a green light.  They're supposed to start filming this summer.  Same original cast, minus William Dafoe, so I've heard.  ^_^

Tonight's episode was great, plot-wise.  It was also funneh and disgusting.  He uses maggots to clean the wounds.... Dean: I'm trying to eat!

Then Sam says something else, then "Kill your appetite yet?"  Dean: *looks at sandwich*  I could never hate you! *bites into it*

Saw these cute picture frames today at work (Jewel).  Got one for my grandma for Mother's Day.  It cute, it has all these crosses on it.  So Cute!!!  It was buy one get one free, so I bought two.  Dunno who to give the second to yet...

Gave my mom her present a few weeks ago.  My siblings all went to the mall and took pictures of us.  She had no current pictures of her children.  Poor lady.  But now she does!  ^_^

I finally went to see it yesterday after work.  OMG, I want the soundtrack!  XD

That movie kicked ass.  And you HAVE to stay for the end of the credits.  There's something there... something interesting and funny and WTF! XD  WOOT!  I want to see it again.....

I also want to see Forbidden Kingdom again.  That movie was also AWESOME!

AAAAAAAAAAND I want to buy Doctor Who.... I like the new Doctor, not the first one from season 1.  Well, technically he's not the first one, but you know what I mean.  Mebbe I'll buy it for Tori and well have a marathon..... as an early bday present or something..... we'll sees.....  ^^;

Stupid White Sox game.... had a rain delay.... so it played later than it was supposed to.  >.<

So instead of playing at 8pm, its usual time, they've been scheduling it at 11:30pm, after the Baseball game, news, and Smallville.  BUT because of the stupid rain delay, it didn't start til like 12:45am.  Bastards!!!  T__T

So far, its AWESOME.  ^^;  Although the constant moving around of the camera kinda annoys me.  Somewhat reminds me of that STUPID fucking movie, Cloverfield.  WORST MOVIE EVER!!!!!  OMG, that movie SUCKS!!!!

Ok, I"m going to be jumping all over the place here.

I had to work at the pharmacy noon to 8pm.  Usual shift for me.  It sucks.  Well ALL of the CSR's at Blockbuster couldn't work, so I went in.  My feet are KILLING me!!!  And everytime someone asked for Cloverfield, or brought it up, I warned them of how it SUCKED.  OMG, that ending explained NOTHING whatsoever!!!!!!  >.<   You don't know what that thing was, you don't know if it died, you don't know what happened to NYC, you don't know WHY its called Cloverfied, NOTHING!!!!!  Stupid fucking ending to a stupid fucking movie.  This is the first time a movie pissed me off so much.  It was interesting, but then it just ENDS like that?!!!!  Bullshit.

And at Blockbuster we have to wear these promotional shirts that has a slushy on it with the word "SLUSHO!" in front of it.  And on the back the catch phrase is "You can't have just six!"  Its for Cloverfield.  WTF.  Apparently Rob in the movie is going to Japan to work for the Slusho! Company.  And supposedly that company is the reason for the monster in the movie.  Riiiiiiiiiight.  So stupid. 

LOLZ    I'm on Twitter commenting on this episode.  Its HIGH-LARIOUS!!!!  lolz   So obviously what I'm writing will be up on tomorrow's blog.  I have it post at like midnight everyday.

So, the new CEO of Blockbuster didn't like the way we had the wall setup, ya know, the new release wall.  So we had to re-arrange it.  ALL.  So now you got like three different alphabets going on.  Top two shelves are movies less than 6 months out, two shelves at the bottom are movies older than 6 months, and the middle are the very recent releases, big titles really.  And its no longer "checkered", where the movies were stacked like on a checkerboard.....  Making it easier for ppl to stash movies.....  =_=

Honestly.  There was nothing wrong with the new release wall before.  Not its like super hard to find a damn movie, seeing has how you have to keep track of three different alphabets....  My thighs and legs hurt so much on Monday, I was so sore.  All that bending and whatnot.  Arrrrgh.

AND on Monday, instead of chilling, I went to Dekalb with Adraina and Avers.  Ate at Ruby Tuesday, then looked at houses for rent again.  WALKING.............. UGH.  :P

I'm tired.... I should go to bed..... I'll do stuff online first tho.  >)

Oh yeah!!!  So I've been using the Internet Radio option on my PSP a lot lately.  You pick what genre you want and it picks up radio signals from online.  They have lots of genres, heavy metal, country, pakistani, jpop, kpop, oldies.....  I've been listening to Jpop.  ^^;  Oh yeah!!  Lots of stations that are anime/game music.  Cool beans.
