All this talk of bats is making me hungry
...drew.

Laa la la la. I was thinking about how, when I was little, I didn't watch Batman. And I knew there was a Batgirl. But I assumed she was just Batman's girlfriend, since Batman was clearly the star, and would certainly search for a mate of the same species.

That was back when Batman was obviously half-bat. Obvious to me, anyway.

Now I know that Batman is just a guy, but I still don't really get who Batgirl is, so subconsciously, I think, she's still just some girl Batman goes out with.

Thus, this.

And I don't care about the proportional impossibilities or the awkward position... I think this is how Batgirl chills. I really do.
(If you want, you can think about Scooby-Doo when you look at this one, too!)

You could probably sell that for like $300 at MegaCon, but I think all the artist space is full...at least that's what I read last time I checked the site.

That's okay... the table fee for artists at Megacon is probably $350 anyway.

that's really cool, i dig it.
how do you ink? brush, pen, or computer?
Kristina Florentina Serafina Striped Hyena Ocarina[info]kasthegirl on January 16th, 2006 02:38 pm (UTC)
Computer, Painter IX... it's the only way I can now that I lost my waterbrush pen at my friend's place, never to be found again.

(except I could always scrape together $8 and go buy another one. less dramatic.)

Batgirls and BIZMARS
Hey there! I've been clicking through all of the batgirls to find the ones i really liked and am totally stoked on yours!

We're doing a big open-invite group anthology over at Young American Comics: The Bunny, Insect, Zombie, Monkey, Alien, Robot Experiment. This is our 5th annual anthology (which we'll be publishing as a Trade Paperback) and we're trying to get as many cool independent artists to participate as possible. Sorry for the crossposting, but we'd love to have you involved if you're interested! Come by YAC and check us out. Thanks. Tod

Re: Batgirls and BIZMARS
Neat! Just stories? 2-4 pages all? I could probably make up something in a month. Yes, a month is a very long time.

Re: Batgirls and BIZMARS
as long as stories = comics. but yeah 2-4 pages is all. it's a fun project that we had some success with a few years ago when we printed it as a mini. we figured we'd try to get a few more people involved and we're excited that you might could find some time for us. rock!

The looking through the finger thing (instead of a whole mask) is wonderful.
I do love novel ideas.
