Advertising: I do it occasionally. Looking for people still interested in cowboy bebop and RP to join a new game. We've got a few character set up and some plot ready, but except for a set-up post, we haven't started. I had my kitchen painted last week! We paid people to paint, because we needed the wall paper stripped and the walls textured and I've learned if you want it to look good, you might as well pay someone who knows what he's doing. Anyway, here is a picture:

Do you find yourself to be more of a reader or a writer when it comes to LJ? I am definitely more of a reader. I spent more time reading other entries than writing my own. I keep meaning to change this, but I think I'm too lazy (or tired) to type out all the excitement that is my life. Because there is some. Here or there anyway.

All I have to say is that the scenes for next week's survivor were worth watching at least six or seven times. I haven't laughed that hard at something on TV in as long as I can remember. Just for that, I'm happy Eliza is still on the show. mood:

So since I haven't been on LJ and haven't read my Flist in awhile I'm having a hard time reconnecting names to people. I recognize most of the names on my Flist, but I can't remember where I met each of the different people. Or, some of the names I remember were 'changed' journals from someone's original journal, but I can't seem to connect the new name back to the old one (where the old one would associate better with the person). Of course, I don't expect everyone on my Flist to remember where they met me either since I didn't post for like a whole year. So instead, just tell me something about you so I can piece things back together. <3 mood:

I broke my camera yesterday. I was taking pictures of the kids outside and I dropped it. Of course I had to be over the concrete slab when I did so. It won't open right when you turn it on so the view is all fuzzy. *sigh* I still have my old camera, but it's not the same. I plan to ask everyone for best buy gift cards for my birthday so I can go buy a nice camera (with a strap, that I will wear around my neck/wrist/whatever so I don't repeat the process.) Easter was good. Took some pics of the kids hunting eggs and Evan in his 'baby's first easter' onesie. I'll upload them, along with all the other pics I've taken in the last two weeks sometime this week. I'm pretty tired. I only got about five hours of sleep last night. So no staying up late tonight. mood:

So I've been thinking about my goals for 2008. I try to make goals, even if I don't always get to them. I didn't do a very good job in 2007, but I'll give myself a pass because to be honest it was a rough year. Last year I had three goals. The first was to finish my weight loss. The second was to make a budget and do some financial planning. The third was to complete some of the major projects on my house. So how did I do? Well, getting pregnant sorta nipped the first one in the bud. I never got around to making a budget, although my husband and I did take the first step of opening a joint checking account... now I just need to figure out how to organize our money better. The third.. I got some things done, but not as much as I'd have liked. I got the living room painted, but the kitchen and breakfast room still look horrible. Also painted the kid's new room, but that was more out of necessity than anything. Finally, at the end of the year I had all the horrible ugly bushes pulled from my front and back yard. Not exactly a stellar performance. So what to do for 2008? 1. Lose ten pounds. I want to get back down to 150. I think that's completely reasonable, and that's where I was about a year and a half ago. 2. Make a budget. Imagine that! I still want to do this. I still NEED to do this. More than ever now because the twins are in daycare and it's like buying a second house. 3. Landscape the front yard. Now that the ugly bushes are gone, I need to get something nice in there! 4. Get the kitchen and breakfast area painted. Also, the outside of the house. I'll have to pay someone to do these jobs because the first requires texturing and I've heard from good authority that's a task worth paying for. The second will also require outside labor, because some of my wood needs to be replaced. 5. Work on my kids's baby books, scrapbooks, photo albums, pictures for hanging on the walls, etc. I'm so behind on this and now I have three kids. I need to get on it! ---- I'm sure I'll come up with more stuff. On the positive, my husband and I cleaned the garage out a couple of weeks ago and it looks fabulous. I also cleaned the study today and this week shredded about a year's worth of mail, bills, creditcard applications and old checks. Yes, I do feel productive!!! So what are you trying to accomplish this year? mood:

So I found my high school journal the other day. It's interesting to read stuff I wrote over ten years ago and see how I truly was your typical teenage girl. It's all about boys and weight and boys and stupid things I wonder why I cared so much about at the time. Then again, a teenager's world is pretty narrow. I mean, what do you have to care about besides boys and your weight? In some ways I miss not having to pay bills or care about taxes. Kidding. I'd never want to be a teenager again. Anyway, I realize that I've totally sucked at updating this thing for the past couple years. So I'm going to try and be a better "LJ friend" and get my journal cleaned up and actually make some posts updating everyone on the exciting happenings of my life. (we'll see how long that lasts.... that and my life isn't exactly exciting. I take care of my three kids and cook dinner for my husband! WOOT!) And I'm tired. So much more this time around than with the twins. Of course, I think that's because of the twins. It's not like I can sleep until noon if I wanted to. (which I don't, because I am trying to be more productive). I keep falling asleep on the couch in the middle of the day while feeding Evan and then waking up an hour later and realizing I fell asleep. And I'm tired right now (and it got late!) Night! mood:
