Because of the tournament, my mother deemed that I do not spend enough time with her. So I spent the past few weeks spending all of my free time with her. If any of you were wondering, that's where I was. To those I was forced to abandon, I am sorry, but I really had little choice in the matter. ( Private )

I am in need of a doubles partner. My father, the charitable public servant, signed me to be his doubles partner in an upcoming tennis tournament. We went to the courts today to practice, and he managed to not only pull a groin muscle but to sprain his ankle at the same moment. He refuses to withdraw the entry, but he has left me to find his own replacement. ( Private )Sun, Jun. 6th, 2004, 11:22 pm Sonnet 26
Lord of my love, to whom in vassalage Thy merit hath my duty strongly knit, To thee I send this written embassage, To witness duty, not to show my wit: Duty so great, which wit so poor as mine May make seem bare, in wanting words to show it, But that I hope some good conceit of thine In thy soul's thought, all naked, will bestow it: Till whatsoever star that guides my moving, Points on me graciously with fair aspect, And puts apparel on my tottered loving, To show me worthy of thy sweet respect: Then may I dare to boast how I do love thee; Till then, not show my head where thou mayst prove me ~W. Shakespeare Wed, May. 26th, 2004, 10:59 pm A quote:
"He likes me...I know he likes me. Of course I flatter him dreadfully. I find a strange pleasure in saying things to him that I know I shall be sorry for having said. As a rule, he is charming to me, and we sit in the studio and talk of a thousand things. Now and then, however, he is horribly thoughtless, and seems to take a real delight in giving me pain. Then I feel that I have given away my whole soul to someone who treats it as if it were a flower to put in his coat, a bit of decoration to charm his vanity, an ornament for a summer's day." ~O. Wilde

I spoke with the head of the recreation committee this morning on the plans for the renovation. I sincerely hope he was joking. Oshitari-san, I need to talk to you about the book of sonnets you lent to me for English. ( Oshitari-san )Thu, May. 6th, 2004, 06:03 pm Physics Humor:
One day in class, Richard Feynman was talking about angular momentum. He described rotation matrices and mentioned that they did not commute. He said that Sir William Hamilton discovered noncommutivity one night when he was taking a walk in his garden with Lady Hamilton. As they sat down on a bench, there was a moment of passion. It was then that he discovered that AB did not equal BA.Suzuki-sensei told me the joke today after science, I thought it was funny.

My first public entry this year. Kantoku told me earlier this week that I should try to follow the example of my peers. In other words, I am no longer able to get by with only private posts. I spent most of the evening working on my newest acquisition, a scale model of an Albatros. A beautiful pre-made one gun deck schooner, with seven brass cannons and handmade cloth sails. The ship design was French (circa 1840), most of the replica ships I have placed into bottles this year have been from France, their ships seem to be more pleasing to the eye in my opinion. Since most of the ship's construction was done for me, the downside of pre-mades, I revarnished the hull and painted the sails before placing it into the bottle. The only bottle I could find that could fit the ship is tinted an oceanic blue, so the colors I used were ascanio (the hull), ophelia and verveine (the sails). The end result is, interesting to say the least. It is unlike any of the ships I have done so far this year. ( Mizuki-san )( Private )
