Because Sal has asked that we post more often in our journals... ...

I finally have something of interest to write about. I had another of my Microsoft exams today, and although it was hard I managed to pass... This now makes me officially qualified as a Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator!

Not the top MS qualification, but still a very well recognised one.

Yay for letters after my name :D

So yeah, another update from me. I only seem to update this thing when all the crap happens... Its not all bad for me, just this week is worse than most.

It makes me wonder why bad things always tend to happen in clumps. I started out the week with a stomach infection that has left me feeling run down and sickly. On top of that Dexter has been behaving like a sod. Both of these I can cope with, but...

I got a call this morning just after 9 from my Dad to say that late last night my grandfather passed away. Needless to say that this has put a certain spin on my day and I have had my brain in better places.

I don't really know why I am mentioning this on here, probably just to get it out of my head and down somewhere... Makes me feel like there is someone I can talk to about it (until I get home and see the family).

So yeah... ... arse!

I just thought I would post another update. All is going well in the world of the Flint. Just over a week until we pick up Dexter and both me and Becky are really excited about it.

I have been spending more money than perhaps I should have been, especially on this little beauty: Legrasse Idol

Finally, I went out yesterday and got myself inked again. A lovely (if yet still painful) tattoo on my arm. Just over two hours of work and £100 it cost me. No piccies as of yet but if people care I will post it once I can get one taken. Damn, my arm hurts today...

12:16 am - Its alive... ITS ALIVE!!!
Hello everybody peeps!

Wow, I haven't updated since April and I am already running out of things to say.

So yeah, all is well, still married, family is expanding (no not kids thank god!). Getting a lovely little kitty once he is old enough (he is only 2 weeks old atm so we will wait). Pics can follow if people care.

Anyhoo... Merry 'insert appropriate winter festival greeting here'!

Oh and visit Rifftrax.com for fun and amusement...

Right, this has been driving me nuts all night. I have been trying to remember the name of a TV program that used to be on tv many moons ago.

Basically, it was the 80s or 90s (prob early 90s), it was on in the wee small hours of the morning on either ITV or Channel 4. You remember the sets of programs they used to run back then, some quality stuff.

It was a rock/metal music show, ran for about an hour and had some old long haired sod and his pet dog doing the intros. He always sat on a big leather sofa with a bad Windows Stars screensaver going in the background.

The phrase I always remember was "droogies, boozers, strumpets and losers... welcome to the cosmos".

Please, one of you peeps who remember that far back... Tell me you remember the show and what it was called.

My sanity needs an answer...

I might be being a fair bit slow on this but I have just noticed the privacy horror that is 'google-analytics.com'.

Going to some sites automatically loads a small JS file that logs all details of my traffic and site usage with Google! Apparently it is to allow for targetted ads on those sites?

I'm sorry, normally I am not bothered, but I don't want Google or anyone else to have full details of what I am doing on any given site...

Even running a Google search for this took a while to bring a useable result.

Maybe a knee-jerk reaction over nothing, but I don't like being surprised by random websites.

*goes forth to block Google-analytics.com from PC.*

Just back from honeymoon and knackered beyond belief (lots of driving).

Just wanted to make a quick post to say thanks to everyone who sent things, turned up for things and posted on things to say congrats to me and the new Mrs F. It has meant a lot to hear from you all and it has made for a nice start to married life :)

We love you all!

5:07 pm - Post wedding update
Well, its all over and done with, I am now a very happily married man.

Not on long as I am just sorting out all the pictures taken during yesterday.

Am looking forward to seeing the official pictures once I get back from honeymoon.

In the meantime though: Have a look at one pic behind the cut...

8:07 pm - 'W' Minus 5 days and counting...
So yeah, hello! *waves*

Its been a fair while since I wrote on this thing so I figure I had best update it before the weekend.

So... I get married on Saturday *bounce*. Ok, I know you all pretty much know this all ready, but there might be a few who weren't aware.

For those who are coming, hopefully all is going according to your plans and you will be about at some point during the evening.

For those who are interested in actually watching the wedding itself it turns out that you can watch it all through the wonder of the old tinterweb.

If you are interested, then on Saturday morning, before 11:30 tune your webpage to This Link and click to watch the Broderick Marriage Suite Webcam. It may only be still images, but hopefully it will be better than nothing.

In other, more silly news... Would I be a sad man if I purchased This CD? I really hope not as I just bought it and am listening to it now.

Comes with a DVD too *yay!*

*dances off into distance*

Well I figured I would post an update now that I actually have something to post about. It seems that I don't really post much on here recently as there is nothing much going on down here. Work continues and life is all good and going as it should.

Anyway, the actual news that I am wanting to tell is this. Once again I am an uncle. This morning my brothers family had another little one join them. Little Izzy was born weighing 3 pounds 11 ounces. Not much you say but I think its not bad considering the due date was December 1st!

Both mother and baby are doing fine although Izzy will have to stay in hospital for a while due to being born so early.

So yeah, WHEEEE and all that. I can't wait to meet her, but unfortunatly have to wait as Becky has a cold (boo hiss!)

You would think by the above post that I am getting a little broody or something, but we all know that will never happen ;)

Yarrr me hearties, there be but a scant 4 hours betwixt now and the day of talkin' like pirates...

Join me in raising yer grog an' salute the salty sea dogs and wenches who celebrate this fine brine filled day.

*hunts out hook for hand*

Oh and for ye lilly-livered landlubbers out there, even ye can practise yer pirate slangs...

YAARRRR for the booty of interweb links.

Quick and pointless Friday night update for all...

So I am going to Infest this weekend, not sure why but Lab4 are playing so there will be a few fun bits.

The main reason for the post is the result of a random trawl of the Youtube horrors out there. It resulted in two links which I include for your sanity reducing pleasure:

Night of Fire! (Why do I find this so addictive. I want the ringtone)

YATTA! (This one made my cry into my straight jacket).

We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming...

The heat must have risn to an all new level as I am posting on here... Normally I think that the temp should drop as Satan may be skating to work.

So a few things that I figured I would mention...

My SatNav blew up today, so I had to buy myself a new one (at £250 no less) but on the plus side it has speed limit alerts so that should be useful on those long trips for work/cards.

While buying said SatNav in Halfords in Leeds I bumped into two people who I think I last saw about 8 years ago. Dec and Mel (the ginger Irish slime warrior and his missus). Was a complete shock to see them but was also good to catch up with people I haven't seen for ages. Am going to be going out in a couple of weeks for a catch up pint or three.

Have been getting a few bits and pieces sorted out before going to see the pink and green ones this weekend (if they are still available for us to go down) and the missus has picked out a quality present for little Ben... I cannot describe its amusing form, but will try to persuade TC to get some piccies when the time is right.

Work is going well, but its bloody hot here at the moment. Thats not stopping us planning lots of things (like me going to Newcastle and Reading in September and Infest in August).

The house has fallen through unfortunatly but there are other ones out there that we can look at in the future, there is no hurry so I am not worrying about it at the moment.

Ok so I forgot to tell people, but I have been on holiday for the last week. Nothing spectacular, but a week in Whitby with the family. It was a relaxing week (well as relaxin as a week with a 3 year old neice can be) and was very enjoyable.

On the way back I stopped off in Middlesbrough to catch up with some people who I haven't seen for about 5 years. It was a 30th birthday party for Dawn (who says hi to all who know her). She is starting to hang around on here so will probably be nattering to people fairly soon.

Am back in Leeds now and trying to catch up on a weeks missed tinternet activity... A long haul but it fills in the day.

Oh yeah, its bloody hot here, far too hot for me... I feel like I am melting into the chair.

Apologies to Tabby for talking about Lordi and Eurovision again, but I have a few words to say on the subject...

Yes, the Finnish metal combo won Eurovision and took the title.

Long may rock reign through the Eurovision!

9:30 pm - LORDI!!!
Ok, so most of you will be avoiding the Eurovision Song Contest like the plague when it plays tomorrow night, and you probably do right... However, during this particular Eurovision it appears as though someone has slipped through the sanity radar.

Ladies and gentlemen, you must all watch Eurovision and vote for the lords of all that is rock! They are LORDI!!!!

If you don't believe me here is the Eurovision semi final piece they performed (sound is a bit crap though): Google Vid Link

If you want to see the actual video with much better sound, try this link instead: Second Google Vid Link

You must all vote LORDI (or at least rock along with the rest of us)

/goes off to buy the albums...
