    The Subject Was Roses

Actually the subject is impatiens.  I planted lavender and white impatiens around the sculpted nature area in our front yard.  The flowers don't have the impact they will have, but that is part of the allure of gardening...patience.  I am enjoying the time outdoors, by myself, with no Ipod...I promised myself to really try to make my gardening time an attempt to connect with nature and myself.  The flowering garden has come along well, with the prize being this spectacular blue clematis wth about 30 blooms!  The vegetable garden, if as productive as last year, will be the talk of the family again!
Sunday with the tennis group was my introduction to John, our newest member.  Thom and Louie both told me he was good.  He proved it.  I found myself smiling after his first service point, where he served and volleyed for a winner.  Then I asked him if he was a "9 to 5er", and he said NO!!!  Now I found myself getting excited.  Then, when he told me he lived in the University area I knew the day was special.  It has been a long time since I found a good tennis player who could hit during the day.  That is how I met Steve, who ended up being one of my best friends...

Here's my internet dating website bio:

"40 year old attractive gay male with Carolina blue eyes, lives with mother in rural NC, AIDS diagonosed but healthy...free sprited, loves gardening organically and plays a mean game of tennis.  Leave message if interested"

Can you believe I have had no responses?  Should I mention I'm the  handsome 5'7" and not the short 5'7"?  Maybe I should say I am an athletically fit 150 pounds with peircing eyes.  Yes, I do have a gym body.

So about my mother...I am my mother and father's only child, and when my dad became seriously ill, my mother asked me to help with his care.  The day I moved back, my father had his first amputee surgery on his leg.  My mother also had both hips replaced at this time so I have been a caregiver for the last four years.  Not to mention the fact that two aunst have lived with us who have had their own struggles with illness.  I have taken all four adults to their necessary health care appointments, as fare as 120 miles one way.  Cancer treatments, cardiology specials, physical therapists, layers, and everything else navigated within the health care system.  And then there is my health to take care of as well.

I am proudly at the highest t-cell count I have ever had and have an undetectable viral load.

So is that all to much for announce to try to get an internet paramour?
